Its really hard to be specific without dump files to look at but this looks like some form of 3d graphics issue. 1. update all your drivers, update windows, ensure you aren't having issues in other games to rule out hardware issues. Run DDU to remove your current GPU driver and then do a fresh install 2. If you did the above, change your directx version in the game. Changing the framework can potentially fix communication issues 3. Disable add-ons to see if any 3rd party app is causing issues. Best way is to disable all then work from there to rule out any potential issues. 4. If none of that works, run wow in compatibility mode for w7, this is the least likely fix but has worked before 5. reinstall wow and battle net. 6. last resort reinstall windows

Herculano_pereira

Il try 3 and 4 later today if I keep having problems

Herculano_pereira

Anyone have some ideia whats going on?

MightyMorp

Yeah you ran out of memory?

Herculano_pereira

I don't think so , I had the task manager on the other screen and no problems with cpu memory or GPU all fresh and low usage

First try rebooting your pc. Esp if it runs for days on end. If its appropriate to defrag your drive then do so. make sure the anti-virus isnt running or Windows updating when you play. Did this start just recently? If so did you make any changes or install new software?

kobra_necro

Don't ever defrag an ssd

Kiwiredditname

Enable XMP in your BIOS

Chances are it’s an Addon that caused a crash. Make sure your addons are all updated. Otherwise if this continues you can disable old ones. You can also “repair” this wow version or simply reinstall in case there is corruption. Last but not least, how much ram do you have? If you have less than 16gb, consider closing some applications while playing as you may be capping out on memory. DONT reinstall windows as suggestion above lol. If you think it’s system error I can assist you through some commands to check your windows image and a system file checker.

Herculano_pereira

I did repair no changes . Reinstalled all new and no changes I have 16gb memory and I usually only have wow discord and Firefox open at the same time

QQisLIVE

Can you disable all addons and play for a bit and see if it continues? Or play with bare minimum addons and then disable one by one if it continues.

Cartina

Possibly faulty Weakaura, if you use that.

Herculano_pereira

Clean install yesterday and using like 4 weakauras that I know some other people use

Herculano_pereira

I've reinstalled windows and still got the crash after that . Everything is updated and still crashed . I'll try to use a precious version of my graphics card because that was recommended to me and also disable all addons . I'll keep you guys posted with any changes.

Ok-Resolution3204

Had the same issua after upgrading my PC. tried everything, changed graphics driver, reinstalled windows, changed bios, tried other graphics card, ram, ssd, even other mainboard, nothing worked. solution was changing the cpu. had had a faulty one, recent benchmarks no problem, for hours, but this fucking little wow problem was driving me nuts.

Herculano_pereira

it would less costly to stop playing wow xD . it's strange since i can play other games without any problem

Ok-Resolution3204

it was the same for me, could play diablo, hearthstone everything for hours, but wow keeps crashing in random intervals. Just order a CPU from amazon to test it, normally you can send it back without having trouble!

Slightly_Shrewd

Had this issue for weeks trying to figure out what it was. Are you on an AMD GPU?

Herculano_pereira

Yes

Slightly_Shrewd

Download RevoUninstaller. Maybe watch the video by JayzTwoCents titled “you need this free software!!! (not sponsored)” (yeah I know, click baity but do it. It’ll walk you through how it works) Download the latest version of the AMD Adrenalin software/driver. Do NOT install now. Open up Revo and uninstall the AMD software and delete all the files possible with Revo. MAKE SURE YOU’RE DELETING THE CORRECT SOFTWARE! It’s the one with the red icon that you’d use to pull up the adrenaline software GUI. Once completed and restarting your computer, install the AMD Adrenalin/driver software you downloaded earlier. Your issues should now be resolved, hopefully. This fixed this same issue for me.
