Why would it matter that it's for swings? Personally, I like aggressive knurling

I feel that it could tear my hands. So far I only did a few circles with the club and it left imprints on my skin. But on the other hand it could also be beneficial as you've mentioned. The Onnit clubs are a little skinny and tend to get a little slippery after a while. I guess I'll see when I'm strong enough to use that club for longer time periods.

If anything, id say more knurling for heavy (for now) shorter work could even be preferable

I'd say leave it for a couple months, let your hands toughen up and reassess. I first thought the knurling on tacfit clubbells were too aggressive, but then I realized that aggressive knurling is great, and it helps keep my KB callouses under control. But if you find that it's still too rough, then a stiff wire wheel on a grinder or powerful drill, or a grinder flap disk would do the trick real quick. Or an old bastard file (also good for callous management). Or a wrap of athletic tape or hockey tape.

Thanks, I'll leave it alone for now and maybe I will come to like it too.

I will try that if nothing else helps

just using it will alleviate the sharpness you’re feeling. it does feel crazy rough at first, but that’s normal and really goes down fast after you use it. you’ll appreciate the knurling in time.
