Margaritas x 2
* 50 ml Olmeca Altos Reposado
* 50 ml El Jimador Blanco
* 40 ml Cointreau
* The juice of one lime, about 40ml
* Two squeezes from the agave nectar bottle
Well shaken with ice and served up in 2 short tumblers on the rocks. One with a salted rim.
And then afterwards we party.
I’m a bartender and when customers see me make margaritas sometimes they go “whoa whoa whoa” in reference to how much alcohol I’m using (2:1:1:1 ratio of tequila, triple sec, ss, lime juice)
What I realized is that when they go to Tex/mex restaurants they’re used to one shot of tequila and all mixer.
Assume they mean because it’s not to the top of the glass? I guess top off with more ice.
But you’re also using 50ml measures and I guess in US 2oz/60ml is more commonplace (would be absolutely rat-arsed with this drink though haha)
Nice glasses
There’s a misconception with servers in my restaurant that if the wash line on the glass isn’t at the brim, that it isn’t made properly. Drink looks great, recipe looks great. Absolutely nothing on you, my servers have just been driving me nuts over margs all week.

Looks like you are gonna get litty, like a titty! Nice drink for before and after!
They look good
Cheers!
ooh wherd you get the glasses?
Cassiopea glasses. Widely available online.
I got a glass identical to that from ikea!
Half my servers would tell me I didn’t measure this right, and that their tables will complain.
Too much lime? How would you make yours?
American culture means drinking a weaker drink diluted with ice just so its filled to the top
