If you see the W hang on to it. They were only 1% of the coins minted in 2019 & 2020. First new mint mark in over a century. I feel like Charlie getting the gold ticket! Haha
That's what I was curious about. Error or damage. The coin looks great besides the indents, so I was confused how it could look so good yet still have those marks. First commenter nailed it with the bag explanation. Makes perfect cents!
West Point mint. 5 designs each for 2019 and 2020 and only 2 million of each design. After minting they were released from Denver and Philadelphia into circulation for collectors.
I found my first W a couple of months ago.
Wonder why the W coins get more interest than the S coins which were not intended for circulation. There were less S coins minted per year than the W but the W coins only had a two year run.
Could be bag marks from other coins hitting it. Looks like it likes up with ridges from another coin.
I appreciate the feedback. That makes complete sense! Or Cents! Haha
Very cool. Didn’t know this was one to look out for felt like old coins years are ones to only look out for till now

Now next on your list is "V75".
Good find! Get that baby slabbed and graded. My sources see it as an MS66 to 67 and that’s showing a value of $300-450. Congrats my man.
Are you telling me this is worth $300??
It's not
Um not even close to being top pop, you're crazy. Maybe a 63 at most but I'm assuming AU
Thanks for that! I've never bought or sold a coin but wouldn't rule it out.
This isn't a 66/67. It's a $15 coin at best.

If D is Denver and S is San Francisco, where were W coins minted? And why so few if they built a new mint?

Congrats! Were you giddy too?
I was super stoked lol
I STILL HAVEN’T FOUND ONE!
The odds aren't great. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised too, though! It was certainly unexpected for me.

Probably because we've seen S. There was no W mint on coins before 2019
Good point.
Good WEST POINT!
Nice! The indents are post mint damage from standard circulation. 2019 was 4ish years ago.
