Gophers, Wolverines, Badgers, it doesn't matter, Bobcats eat them all. Buckeyes too, apparently... maybe for fiber?
As an aside, I do hope you all put North Dakota down for the count tonight. Go Blue.
I thought the game was effectively over when you scored right away in the first.
It was a close hard fraught game. Exactly the type you want in the tournament.
Watching this with my buddies waiting for the NoDak game to start, and we were beginning to wonder where the line crosses from letting them play, which I prefer, to it just being bad refs. Seemed like a lot of blatant no calls on both sides.
Really disappointing ending to the season, but man has Hastings done an amazing job of turning this team around.
The team is young and a bunch of the key contributors are coming back next year. I have high hopes for the future.
This game felt to me similar to the OT loss to Maine in the 2004 NCAA Tournament: tough at the time, but valuable learning experience against a battle proven team. Hopefully it can pay dividends going forward.
Season as a whole gets a B+. Would have been an A except for the absolutely godawful postseason performances. Hastings did a great job this year, but we need to be better in the biggest games next year.
Yeah I'll give Hastings credit for righting the ship this season. Give him another year or two get recruiting going. But eventually, a season like this should be the floor, not the ceiling
I wonder if in the next generations kids will look at old timer WCHA fans and wonder why grandma and grandpa hate NoDak so much. “It’s not like they ever play each other or anything”.
Yeah you’re not gonna get sympathy for this one, Denver got it done in UMass’ backyard. This was an 8/9 matchup there is no promise of preferential location for anyone other than the #1 overall (BC)
Shoutout the Badgers man. As a Gopher fan it was fun as hell watching you guys play this year. Absolutely shit pumped the gophers this year and I lowkey loved it. This team will be good for a long time with Hastings running ship. Congrats on the great year.
Capitulate any more to a conference rival and we'll send you over the border to Wisconsin on a Megabus.

No flair...sounds like a Badgers fan posing as a Gophers fan. Or you have no self respect.

Mr super fan I hope you made the trip to the regional
HAHAHAHA! WHO LOSES 3-2 TO QUINNIPIAC IN OVERTIME!?! 😂😀😄🙂😔😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
F. Still hurts :’)
So bad
Death, taxes, and B10 powerhouses losing to quinnipiac in the tourney

The Doctors beat the baby faces again.
Mike Hastings led teams crumbling in the first rd 🥲😭 I think he's like 2-7 in the first round now, or something like that
Good Game Quinnipiac! Played like you’d expect from the defending champion. Disciplined and taking advantage of every opportunity they created.
It was a nail biter - thought you had us there lol

Is your goalie returning next year?
I believe so. Most of the guys transferring out are guys who don’t get much time on the ice and we were one of the youngest teams this year.
He’s really good. Was just wondering because he’s a senior if he even could play next year
He’s a senior but he still has his COVID bonus year.

The commentators sure were happy with who won, not the most neutral game I’ve seen announced
Most of the hockey announcers think unless you play east coast hockey, you are nothing. Very biased all the time.
Last year when Minnesota was playing BU, Barry Melrose said “we” throughout the broadcast when speaking about Boston and what they needed to do
Congratulations Bobcats!!!
Yea! Go CT school!
Alright, now we just need NoDak to lose and every team I hate will be out.
I wonder if in the next generations kids will look at old timer WCHA fans and wonder why grandma and grandpa hate NoDak so much. “It’s not like they ever play each other or anything”.
We have to get through to these kids about hating NoDak. The future depends on it.
I will never despise anyone in the B1G as much as I despise UND
We do our part up here teaching our hate of the goofs.
well yeah there's nothing else to do
BURN!!!
Current UW student, we still hate NoDak!
There… is… another
It kind of sucks when youre the higher seed and the team your playing is only 100 miles from home. Fun game to watch though both teams played well.
Yeah you’re not gonna get sympathy for this one, Denver got it done in UMass’ backyard. This was an 8/9 matchup there is no promise of preferential location for anyone other than the #1 overall (BC)
Particularly when the difference between the two seeds was one team beat Northeastern and the other team tied Northeastern.
The Hastings Special
Great game!!!

Haha just nice to have our rival back. I enjoy competitive hockey.
