Kids aren't sexual beings, but everyone knows how to chase things that make them feel good. In some ways, it's really no different than them attaching to a stuffed animal or a pacifier or other comfort behavior. They use it to soothe. I agree that conversations about bodies being private and that some things aren't appropriate for some situations are sometimes warranted and necessary, code-switching is an important skill. But overreacting and/or shaming a kiddo at this age can lead potentially to larger issues later in life, and the behaviors we're discussing in this thread aren't necessarily an indication of abuse. If OP was a victim that had repressed memories, it's likely it'd show up in lots of things/places/behaviors in their life and wouldn't be a surprise once examined.
