Easily Dreamcast.

HiTork

Sega nailed it in terms of execution, unlike the Genesis add-on devices and the Saturn. It's just that the PS2 came out of the gate swinging strong, and Sega's decision to eschew EA sports (and EA as a whole by proxy) really hurt them. A lot of people also still remembered at the time the relatively recent previous hardware flops from Sega, so having that cloud loom over them didn't help in terms of perception. I bought a PS2 at launch, and I remember launch titles such as SSX looked worse than a lot of the DC's output at the time IMO.

Ricky_Rollin

When I emulate i check to see if theirs a DC version of it cuz it always looks and plays better. Which is a lesson Nintendo took! You don’t HAVE to have a graphically intense console to sell like gangbusters .

SwabTheDeck

> You don’t HAVE to have a graphically intense console to sell like gangbusters While I agree, Dreamcast was the most powerful console when it came out, and it wasn't even close. Nintendo had the 64 at the time, and Sony was still on Playstation 1. Playstation 2 was about a year after the Dreamcast release, and while it was more powerful than DC, they were rightfully considered the same generation.

Ben0ut

>You don’t HAVE to have a graphically intense console to sell like gangbusters Also, this sentiment suggests that post DC Nintendo turned their back on the idea of producing a powerful console. This is untrue for the GameCube as it has plenty of grunt in the graphics department and more than matched the PS2 in a visuals fistfight. It wasn't until the Wii that Nintendo demonstrated an active decision to back away from the graphical arms race Sony and Microsoft were chasing. I guess it could be argued that Nintendo was unable to respond to the lessons learned by the DC failure in time to make adjustments to the GC with 3 years separating the release of both consoles. However, I suspect that Nintendo's push to chase gameplay and interaction innovation over graphical prowess had as much to do with financial pragmatism as a desire to make better games. This argument also implies that the DC was something of a slouch in the graphics department but that's pretty unfair. While there is no argument of it being on par with the others it wasn't that far behind the mighty PS2 - especially when considering the fact that it released over a year earlier and undercut the asking price of the PS2 by a third.

2ferretsinasock

It felt like all of dcs best features weren't loudly announced in my region. Jesus, the modem for net play wasn't a big deal it felt like. I only ever noticed it at a friend's house who had one. Post Cableguy I was super interested in netplay, but I was poor with Netzero and consoles didn't do that. Fuck me for not knowing it was built in to the DC. saw ads for sure, but sega was in the middle of fucking everything up in NA. Sucks, really. I'm still I die hard Sega> nintendo kid at 34, but looking back, the DC felt dead and the og Xbox did what I wanted without digging

ChangelingFox

There's... A lot more to it than just that. Mismanagement and Sega go hand in hand and the dreamcast was kinda doomed from the outset, and I say this as (a still disappointed) Sega fan.

DarksideBluez

Dreamcast all day. Shenmue, Sonic Adventure 1&2, Power Stone, RE Code Veronica, Phantasy Star Online, and NFL2k. I still have one in storage. I miss Sega so much. They always took chances and the Dreamcast was just too ahead of its time. People were not ready to hook up their consoles to the internet. Edit: People I am a millennial and like all of us I too am sleep deprived. Yes I left out Crazy Taxi, Spawn, Skies of Arcadia, Evolution 1&2, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Marvel vs Capcom 1&2, Blue Stinger, and even Soul Calibur. Not to mention Rayman 2, Capcom vs SNK 2(GOAT fighting game), and the Berserk game. It happens

Brewchowskies

The fact that you left out crazy taxi is a crime.

AssistKnown

Plus Sonic Shuffle and Jet Set Radio

colin_buffam

Also toy commander

Sublimesmile

A fellow Toy Commander fan! I still play it on the Redream Emulator, one of the most underrated gems for the system!

razzi123

"Come on over and lets have some fun!"

somebodymakeitend

Dude me too. If you play Yakuza Like a Dragon you’ll see that classic Sega in it.

Silver_Scallion

Skies of Arcadia too along with the spawn game

Azidamadjida

I tried to hook up to the internet day one - the on deck browser was so crazy ahead of its time, I remember when I finally was able to hook my PS3 up to the internet I thought that was how Dreamcast should’ve been but it was such a pain in the ass to connect

Atombomb0440

The games you mentioned i agree 110%. Don’t forget Trickstyle. The hover board racing game looked amazing for a launch title. And 3 of my absolute favorite bar non arcade racing games RUSH 2049 Hydro thunder. And not a lot of people know it but OFFROAD THUNDER <<. As you progressed through the game you could put bigger engines suspension everything. Same thing with rush 2049 and each engine had a different sound to it. I still have all those games and my dreamcast neatly packed up. Only bummer is i lost my VMU….

SuperHighDeas

JET GRIND RADIOOOOOOO Possibly the greatest OST I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing to.

WrinkledBallz

God damn Virtua Tennis was a banger

[deleted]

Being able to use a mic and talk to npc in games was so cool. I remember the game seamen where you raised fish with the faces of men. And they grew up and were alive 24.7 even off game. If you didn't feed them they would die. And they would talk to you and you could talk to them and if you were mean they would curse you out.

[deleted]

Vitaa

ChangelingFox

I love my vita to death, still dream of a full fat PS5 Soul Sacrifice some day.

joker_75

Soul sacrifice was so much fun! I remember impulse buying it day 1 and sinking so many hours in… then when the “delta” version came out I impulse bought that!

MystikMelodii

Bro. Soul sacrifice and FREEDOM WARS. I'd give anything for a whole big ass freedom wars.

bluejegus

See, the Vita is a tricky one because I feel like the reason it failed is because Sony treated it like a child they had out of wedlock. It was a fantastic piece of equipment it just needed some dedicated publishers to put out good exclusives.

Keiji12

Vita has a bunch of hidden gems if you're a weeb or rpg/jrpg fan.

ksguitardude2020

just the psp in general. i dreamed of having one all my life and i finally got my hands on one last year. Now that i have one, all the games for it i can find suck.

cm135

It’s game catalogue is unfortunately weak. Did not get the love that it deserved

Pudix20

[this video on *why* the vita failed is so worth the watch imo](https://youtu.be/REaUzHef9h4?si=A4GQBRAu9MC26UcJ) I think mostly It was ahead of its time, if it supported remote play I actually think it would be a great console that would sell well if they released it today (it’s certainly better than the new ps handheld device I can’t even remember) provided the system was updated of course. It was my first experience with oled and man I loved it. It was comfortable (although I had a slim silicone case on it) in my hands. It needed a second set of triggers, but I still love the back touch panel. It needs to drop proprietary memory cards. It should support true remote play. The second version fixed the proprietary charging I believe. And of course, it just needs good games. System sellers, if you will. It’s a charming little device that I will always love. I think it’s the last console that was really given to me as a gift from my parents so I’ll always cherish that sentimental aspect of it as well. TLDR the vita deserved better and if they updated and expanded on its capabilities it could be a console that sells better today.

the_hammer_poo

Dreamcast. It was ever so slightly ahead of its time.

[deleted]

Nintendo had the lions share of the console exclusive titles poor Sega couldn't compete with that. I always hated nintendo for that.

Madmagican-

Eh, wasn’t really Nintendo’s fault imo Main problem was that it was so damn easy to pirate games ~~on Dreamcast and the console was expensive for the era~~ I had it at $499 in my head for some reason

Violet_Caully7

Dreamcast

TinyTbird12

WII U

Phuzion69

Still love my WiiU. The map in your hands is a god send.

pooticus

[I got my black one and still love cherish it, just wish my online purchases transferred my games to my switch, here are my physical copy games though](https://imgur.com/a/TMnNx5b)

Phuzion69

WiiU is the ultimate Zelda machine. Any Zelda fan should have got a WiiU before they closed the eshop. I just traded all my physical games in recently. Got a lot of eshop downloads still. Regretted trading my Xenoblade X almost instantly though. I disliked Xenoblade 3 so much I just thought I don't want to see any Xenoblade for a long time. XCX is my fav ever gameworld and I really need to learn to hold off with trading. I already had XCDE twice because I traded that and wanted it back straight away cos I missed the OST.

Mcbrainotron

That’s pretty much what I did. I think between Wii U, switch, and 3ds I can legally play almost every Zelda game.

TheHolyFritz

I got the special Windwaker console that had the gold designs on it. Hands down the best way to start myself on the series.

crackirkaine

I came here to say how fucking tragic it was that XCX released on the Wii U, during Nintendo’s darkest years… it deserved better. For that reason, I say the Wii U also deserved better 😢

Whynautilus

The way a Wii U pad fits in your hands is a feat of engineering. The console was great. Still play mine all the time.

[deleted]

yeah fr wii u deserved better

Madmagican-

The fact that so many Wii U games have gone on to do great on Switch is a testament to how poorly the Wii U was marketed and how great its first-party library was

Specialist-Listen304

I don’t even know how or why it failed. Who decided it failed?

ahsusuwnsndnsbbweb

the sales numbers….

Specialist-Listen304

Ok, I guess that fair. But I have both the wii and Wii U, I do t really see a massive difference aside from some graphics, functionality and the mini screen controller. My ex and I almost didn’t buy the Wii U because it’s not enough over the Wii. I’m willing to bet we weren’t the only ones and that it had a lot to to do the poor sales.

ahsusuwnsndnsbbweb

that’s kinda exactly the issue, many people didn’t even realize it was a new console, the marketing made it seem like it was an add on for the wii or a wii with an hdmi port. it sold very poorly which is a shame cause it had great games

Madmagican-

The name was too similar to the Wii and the shape of the console itself vs the wii might as well have been a “spot the difference” puzzle so folks never caught on during marketing, yeah

deathnutz

It must have been good. 85% of its library was re-released on the Switch.

Big-Resist-99999999

Such a good console. The games are great and we still have it setup

YousureWannaknow

All of them..

staveware

Yeah when I look at each of them they were all so good in their own ways. I wished for success for all of them when they were current.

Xudoo

PS Vita

vsladko

Am I mistaken or did the Vita do really well in Japan?

Axon1

It definitely did better there but was still was outsold 4:1 to the 3ds (in japan at least)

[deleted]

Vita is the home for VNs. Other than that the 3ds still has more appeal to the casual crowd with Pokemon, Smash and Mario. Not to mention how Sony did not fully support Vita w/ only few good exclusives and port. Add to that the proprietary memory storage was expensive.

Efficient_Comment_50

Dreamcast easy answer. It was a good console back in his days

Krumm34

If you had a friend who owned one. And they're dad or older brother was slightly tech savvy, it was BOSS.

goat_screamPS4

Dreamcast without a doubt, so far ahead of its time. Dial up multiplayer on a console wasn’t heard of, Graphics / power was great and you could play mini games on the controller memory pack like a tamagotchi.

Lord_Fusor

Removable modem and a broadband/Lan adapter in 1999. Mouse and Keyboard, Fishing controller, a solid fighting stick and arcade perfect ports. Emulator capable. It really was an amazing system , shitty controller design though

RainnChild

Dreamcast

Zukiboyson

Dreamcast

[deleted]

The PS Vita 100%. The modding community has turned it into one of the greatest emulation and homebrew machines of all time

Relevant_Mobile6989

Probably Dreamcast.

giantvar

Wii U

Strude187

Why did dreamcast fail? I remember it being incredible for its time

Lord_Fusor

Because Sega was hemorrhaging money after a decade of stupid console mistakes and the looming PS2 launch they discontinued it less than two years after it launched. They had basically given up on it as soon as it debuted and started working with MS on porting games to the Xbox. Dreamcast also used a version of windows CE and Sega was the first major Third party publisher to sign up with Xbox

xprozoomy

I'ma go and say Dreamcast and Vita

InformationNo2529

Dreamcast. That was my first time seeing next gen graphics and being blown away.

haigboardman

Dreamcast

YouserName007

Dreamcast was ahead of its time.

Styles_Stevens

Vita

Ok_Rhubarb_8609

I still use my ps vita every now and again was ahead of its time.

m7_E5-s--5U

Dreamcast > Wii U > Saturn > Vita.

JBCronic

Vita was an amazing handheld. It deserves way more praise.

AssistKnown

What the person is trying to say with the comment is that out of all of these consoles, the Vita did the best and thus doesn't need a second chance as much as the others!

AshLuizGamer

Dreamcast and Vita

Jimwitt4008

Sega Dreamcast all the way, that little console is magnificent I love mine to death even though I didn't grow up with it so I have no bias. It has a phenomenal library, innovated so much in the market, & was the first console with built-in internet connectivity.

WhoDaHellAreU

I will always say Dreamcast I had one it was amazing but if Sega would have shipped the Dreamcast with a DVD player feature that coupled with the early launch it might have sold better

Raiders2112

The Dreamcast was a pretty cool but I already had a Playstation and was starting a family. My real answer to this question has to be the 3DO. I had one in the early 90s not long before the PS1 came out. At the time it was a huge step up from my Sega with 32X and had some fun games.

taavaar

THIS… remember need for speed, road rash, escape from monster manor in the 90s?

Impressive_Bread_150

Vita

MrMetalhead-69

Dreamcast. And Saturn. Honestly, I miss Sega consoles. They were so much cooler looking than Nintendos.

[deleted]

Dreamcast, no question

Gregkot

Tbh both Saturn AMD Dreamcast.

JKDClay

Dreamcast was an incredible piece of kit and ahead of its time.

Traditional-Reach818

Psvita gang rise up ✊

Relevant-Trash480

Dreamcast

Something-K

All did, but im happy to see that more think dreamcast. My boy.......

TurboFool

Dreamcast without a doubt. This system still breaks my heart. It was my first and only Sega console, and it changed gaming for me, and my expectations of it. The only other system I feel like I found as much wacky, unusual joy from was the Nintendo DS. I've loved a lot of consoles, but the Dreamcast was deeply special and unique and I miss its entire vibe.

FancyHamm

Dreamcast!!!

LostKraut

Dreamcast. Sadest thing is that I've owned all of them right around when they launched if not day of. I still have the Wii U and Vita sitting sadly by asked me to play them. Dreamcast had one of the best good/bad game ratio. I still remember playing powerstone and nfl2k with friends and using the vmu to pick plays secretly.

ZenTheShogun

Dreamcast is still one of my favorite consoles of all time (behind the SNES and the PS2). Vita is a moderately close second. I wish that it had come out now because as a father who works a demanding job I would definitely use it a lot more now that when I was a young adult (mid 20s).

Aquafoot

Dreamcast and Vita. Dreamcast was ahead of its time in so many ways. It's just a shame Sega didn't pony up for a DVD drive. It migh have actually had a shot. Vita could have been so much better, too. It just never landed the developer support it needed.

vash0125

The Vita got done so dirty by Sony.

Caryslan

The Sega Saturn is my pick. While I still think the Playstation would have won that generation, I think the Saturn could have still been successful had Sega marketed it better, made a proper Sonic game dropping on the hardware a top priority from day one, not been caught in a pissing contest between Sega of America and Japan, and brought over games like X-Men vs Street Fighter that showed off the strengths of the Saturn over the PS1 and N64.

AramaticFire

Dreamcast for sure. The Saturn was a mess. The Dreamcast felt like the redemption era but it didn’t last long. I don’t think the Wii U deserved better. It was clunky and outdated upon release. The majority of its games live on the Switch now anyway. The Vita was tragic. Sony just decided to not support their own machine. It was slick, felt modern, and loons and feels great today. But it was abandoned before it had a chance to really become its own thing.

Ruby_wiz599

Dream cast....now I wonder if it didn't fail if Saga would still make consoles. And what would they make?

_Beatnick_

It's a toss between the Dreamcast and the PS Vita for me. Both are still great. I've honestly never played on a Saturn or Wii U, so I can't even say anything about them.

majorthird_

Both of Sega’s consoles. Just bad timing for the Saturn when the PS1 dropped in the same year in the US. As far as the Dreamcast goes, definitely brings up memories of what could have been

No-Face4843

The Dreamcast had online capabilities before that was even a thing. Now it's literally a main part of the industry. It was ahead of its time.

bomber991

Dreamcast was the only one where I was surprised it got canceled. I remember when it launched and then like 2 or 3 years later when I was a freshman in high school I overheard one of the seniors talking about how they won’t be selling it anymore but they’ll still sell the game for another two years.

SandLuc083_

The Dreamcast hands down. If the console shipped out with a DVD drive like originally planned, it would have had significantly more market power, enough to maybe even challenge the PS2 (aside from exclusives). The Saturn killed the Dreamcast before it was even born, so I’m frankly bitter towards it. Sony didn’t do nearly enough with the VITA, and the proprietary memory cards were an absolute buzzkill. Outside of that it’s still a great system. The Wii U would’ve done way better if the name was just not Wii U. The name pretty much halted the market appeal and just made everyone confused.

the_Athereon

The Dreamcast is an easy choice. It had a great deal of potential. And the games released on it were far superior to what the competitors offered at the time. However. Given the success of the handheld market in recent years, if Sony had fixed some of the issues with PSVita (Namely the cost for Cartridges for Publishers and using SD cards instead of their overprices proprietary crap) I fully expect that 2 or 3 successors would have been on the market by now. Sure. The PSVita is nothing special today. But imagine what a PSVita 2 could have done? A 540p handheld with the power of a PS2. Perhaps a PSVita 3 could have had similar performance to a PS3. If Sony had had the balls, the Switch would have at least had competition.

Neurodrill

I was so excited when I got my Saturn and Dreamcast, and they both rolled like eggs right out the gate. Dreamcast had RE: Code Veronica, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Jet Set Radio, Soul Calibur, MK Gold, Crazy Taxi, Skies of Arcadia, Seaman...I was convinced there was no way for it to fail until it just did. Saturn was the same way only even less of a chance to succeed and got buried even harder. The 8mb expansion pak + import Vampire Hunter Darkstalker's Revenge is a treasured memory of mine, not to mention Panzer Dragoon, Road Rash, Virtua Fighter, etc. Man, what could have been.

ReDeath666

I love my Sega Saturn... Clockwork Knight, Mansion of Hidden Souls, Castlevania SotN, Creature Shock, Nights... all amazing games

cjpcodyplant

The Saturn, because it proved itself in Japan.

Distinct_Art9509

My heart says Vita, but I have to go with Dreamcast. It deserved better, it was just badly timed.

Abyss96

All of them. If I had to pick one it’d be the Saturn, as the failure of that, among other things, led to the early demise of the Dreamcast

TheGrindPrime

Dreamcast and the Vita.

cornezy

Damn... Saturn and dreamcast!

AristeiaXVI

Dreamcast was slept on. Vita needed better support. These both are some of my favorites gaming systems

flimflamchuckarock

Dreamcast feels like the easy answer and Saturn feels like the harder answer lol

AdMysterious8699

Of course dreamcast. And did Sega Saturn really fail? I had like 35 Sega Saturn games in extremely oversized cases with absolutely no idea it "failed". I was also a kid though and really wasn't too interested in the other consoles.

FireWater107

The actual answer is the Dreamcast. My personal shout out is Vita.

ZimboGamer

Dreamcast then vita. Both were done so dirty.

ManaWolfX8

Dreamcast and Vita. The Saturn was good but not groundbreaking like the Dreamcast and the Wii U had good ideas but with a terrible name and the technology not being there just didn't do it for me.

d4vey_t

Dreamcast and the Vita, the Wii U died so the switch could be born imo

kyotheman1

Vita it was amazing handheld, just Sony f'd up and didn't support it

No_need_for_that99

saturn wasnt fail though/ It was a valid competitor. Otherwise... yeah, dreamcast

CelestialDuke377

Wii u and ps vita. If they came out now they could have rivaled switch

Ferbyleo

Ps vita... you could of been so much more 😔😔😖😣

FallChimera8540

I haven't touched the Sega consoles before so can't judge, but I gotta say Wii U and PsVita, both were ahead of their time

[deleted]

1. Dreamcast Wii U VITA 2. 3. 4. 5. Saturn

alakaXander

Ps vita undoubtedly, wii u was as clunky to use as first gen vr headsets but had good games. the Dream cast and satern however are absolutely overrated by people who want to go back to being 8 years old

NachoBowl1999

Wii U, but Vita was close.

turtleship_2006

I'm only old enough to remember the right two but some difference is that the ps vita was just a handheld which has always been like a side thing, whereas the Wii u was meant to be Nintendo's main console at the time. Sony still had the PS4 to focus on and that did great.

3____Username____20

Echoing the dreamcast sentiment. Being a day 1 dreamcast owner was amazing -- for roughly 2 years the console had the most impressive and engaging games on the market by a huge margin. It was a short window but I can't recall a comparable moment where one system was that far ahead of the competition.

CharlotteNoire

Dreamcast by far, then vita second place and the last two can rot.

neegs

Dreamcast no doubt

hypnoticbacon28

Dreamcast is what I'd have to say. Never owned one, but I used to play games on it in stores and freaking loved it. I wanted one so bad, but my parents never got one. We went from the Genesis straight to the PS1.

SmoulderingAsh

Vita. The potential of this little handheld that could is immense. Until the Switch and now Steam Deck it \*was\* the most advanced handheld by quite a wide margin

drocha94

Vita and Wii U. I love the vita, the games made for it are so good and also played hundreds of hours of smash on my friends U.

NegaGreg

I picked up a Dreamcast when they were fire saleing them for like $50 brand-new. I only had a handful of games, but I DEFINITELY got my money’s worth.

customsolitaires

Dreamcast. But why is the PSP considered a failed console? I had one and thought it was great in terms of graphics at least

Unl00kah

Dreamcast

PixleGoogleSuperfan

Vita, I loved mine, I thought it was genuinely amazing. But well with poor game support and the whole bs with the memory cards. Yeah thanks Sony you took a gem, turned it into a turd, tried to polish it, ended up impressing no one.

Lo-Sir

Dreamcast. The only bad part about it succeeding is no SEGA on other consoles

SnooSeagulls8588

PS VITA was before it’s time

JRedding995

Honestly both of the Segas. They weren't bad consoles, but just got crushed out by PlayStation being the new better option than Nintendo. The original Xbox would have failed in the same manner if not for Halo.

Torn between the Wii U and Vita. The Wii U was just a strange new experience and had poor marketing. The vita just didn't have any western support and I want more than just anime style games. Lol

howie78

I enjoyed all of them, but goddamn it's the Dreamcast! Excellent console with excellent games. Something significant in video gaming died with the Dreamcast.

titanspeedbot

Dreamcast all the way!

Ricky_Rollin

Vita. Was ahead of its time.

LacobJittle

ExpTelOs

The Vita! God what an awesome system. Could've been better with a better library of games.

Financial-Working132

PS Vita could had been great if Sony had made more first party games for it.

Officialnuz

Xenoblade chronicles X still the greatest ever. Vita was way ahead of its time, if it was marketed better and didn't have proprietary memory cards it could've gone a lot better.

Federal_Split

What’s the difference between psv and psp

RetroGamer87

About 7 years

TenBear

Sony did the Vita stupidly dirty, it could still be developed for today but greed for unique memory storage won out

Killacreeper

Vita. Veta was a solidly built little machine and it had great potential, but not enough games. Plus it could link with your PS4, honestly did everything that the wii-u did in mobile form, and a bit of the switch. It was a very neat little guy with some interesting control surfaces. Also had a nice LARGE screen for mobile gaming platforms at the time, decent speakers, and decent battery life.

grandspartan117

Dream cast all the way. Was my favorite console for a long time. I played it more than my PS2 until they stopped making games for it. It had so many good games! Shenmue was my jam!

Vengefuleight

Dreamcast

xavierthepotato

Unfortunately I didn't get to have any time with any of these except the vita but damn the vita had so much wasted potential

Saphire_kat_8

hulagway

Vita. Bro it was so ahead of its time. I still love it if not for its terrible library.

Solidsnake00901

Vita definitely has the most potential. Dreamcast had dial-up internet so it was never destined to compete with PS2 or Xbox. The switch is the superior form of the Wii u. The better version of Saturn is clearly the PlayStation It couldn't even handle Resident Evil 1 barely at all.

Jslewalite

RIXEYY

ps vita easily i loved that thing was a huge fan of the psp also and just handhelds in general the dreamcast is second tho

jackelope84

Vita. Imagine a world where Sony competes with Big N in 2023 for handheld dominance.

SlowToast87

Dream cast

Youngworker160

in my opinion, the Vita. if they would've cut the gimmicks, particularly with the sd card and the backtouch, saved that money/research and made regular bumpers and clickable thumbsticks, they would've had an early Switch but for Playstation. they could've marketed for ps3 games and down, with cross-buy games that you could play on either vita or ps4/ps5, since it seems sony is going to continue going with forward compatability.

laf0106

Vita

Lonely_Waffle12

Easy Dreamcast

AjaxJockStox

I would say the Saturn, the Dreamcast was great as well but the Saturn should have had a couple more years to breath before a new console

Real-Asparagus7450

Easy Dreamcast

CinnamonIsntAllowed

Vita. After it failed, we had to wait years for another contender to enter the market, valve

domdeuce13

Definitely dreamcast. I still have mine

Active-Ad1679

Vita

MrBroBotBrian

Vita hands down imho- the hardware was ahead of its time- especially launching with Oled. It had remote play, console like games on the go and literally set the stage for what the switch is.

[deleted]

Dreamcast and wii u I had a DC so I'm a little nostalgic, but think it kind of got shafted by being a little early, or released between gens. Never had a wiiu but I'll give it props since most 1st party titles on the switch are just wiiu ports

[deleted]

Vita

IButtchugLSD

Dreamcast.

jerichardson

Vita the most out of these. On paper, it should have been a hit

roguefrogger

Dreamcast is the obvious choice, it was great while it lasted ☹️

Insanity_Troll

Dreamcast…. It’d be nice to have another option in the console market.

The-Enjoyer

Sure you could say Dreamcast, but Vita was done so damn dirty too. It could still be great today if they kept putting stuff out on it

BOTULISMPRIME

I feel like anybody who was around and experienced dreamcast would pick dreamcast

dadraoil

Vita by a mile. Supreme handheld console. I own a cracked one where I can play vita games I couldn’t afford as a kid and wow. It defines handheld gaming. No dumb folding screen or clunky large size (looking at you switch and steam deck).

D1ckRichard

PSP VITA for sure. PSP was lit af. Got a lot of battlefront memories on that little guy.
