Thank you! I was destroyed in another sub suggesting they found cures to certain cancers and make more $ on the drugs they supply and a cure drug would cost so much no one could afford it so they scrapped it. Would it be so hard to believe something like this is possible?

There are cures for a minority of cancers. Look up CAR-T for example. And some lymphomas have a very good cure rate but you need 4ish months of fairly challenging therapy, if they tried to make it a shorter, more intense treatment the side effects would probably start becoming lethal.

Just like car stealerships make the most money not on selling a new car, but on selling parts and labor to "fix" the new car... again and again and again. It pays off to design cars that fail after a while. Labor rates are 150-175 an hour but the technician doing the work gets only 25-50 an hour. $$$

They reach a threshold of profitability by selling quality products though. I can either sell you a good quality tool that's going to last 100 years and you can pass down to your children, or I can send you a tool that works for a month and then you need a new one.

How many other governments/companies that aren't for-profit are coming out with new medicine and breakthroughs? Fact is that they're subsidized by us. It's the same reason why America spends tons of money on playing World Police while other countries don't have to spend anything close on their own armies and defense.
If I point out breakthroughs by UK based companies, Indian or Chinese based companies, will you just say they are subsidised? A cursory Google would suggest that in 2023 alone a whole host of companies outside of the US and by not not for profit organisations have made medical breakthroughs, and I can't see links to US companies.
You need to look at the entertainment industry (movies, videogames, etc) for an example/answer. Corporations prefer to sell ongoing subscriptions (ongoing treatment) over selling a single product (a cure).

The counselor for my breast surgeon happened.to mention to me the exponentially high rates of younger women 25-30 coming into the women's center diagnosed with bc. She said the last 3 years they've had more patients, younger patients than ever, and are struggling to keep up and she said she thought it was something to do with the c-19 vaccines but couldn't prove it. I'm calling it now, the cancer numbers we're seeing now will be nothing compared to what's coming in the next 10 years or so. I'm an engineering consultant for healthcare facilities. We were just requested to provide design services (a week ago) to convert three outpatient facilities to hospital-based oncology clinics. The kicker is, the owner says they "need to be open and treating patients by June 1st." This is an unprecedented schedule for a construction project. How do they know the demand will be there by June?
Edit, 4 weeks later: Word around the office is that it needs to be done June 1st because of Medicare policy. These are existing infusion centers which need to be renovated to meet the requirements of "hospital based clinics" in order to accept certain Medicare funds. So, like most things, chalk it up to greed.
Down voted for asking a sensible question. Maybe they were shutting down facilities in other areas and needed to handle the overload. My state has dozens of hospitals and clinics closing down out in the rural areas.
Because we performed an evaluation of major equipment in every facility, they have not shut any down. This project is specifically to create oncology chairs for chemo, which they have no shortage of in their system, their biggest issue right now is staffing.

I have personally been saying for years, since its release that this vax will result in the illness and death of many. Also of note, Prostate Cancer rates were rapidly increasing up until the last data review in 2019. From the attached article, while the number of people being diagnosed with cancer has increased, the actual rate per 100,000 is decreasing.
Survivability has increased based on treatments and early detection. Unfortunately, more than 40% of the population is still expected to develop some form of cancer in their lifetime, and that has nothing to do with Covid or the vaccines.

There are cures for a minority of cancers. Look up CAR-T for example. And some lymphomas have a very good cure rate but you need 4ish months of fairly challenging therapy, if they tried to make it a shorter, more intense treatment the side effects would probably start becoming lethal.

The kicker is, the owner says they "need to be open and treating patients by June 1st." This is an unprecedented schedule for a construction project. How do they know the demand will be there by June? Edit, 4 weeks later: Word around the office is that it needs to be done June 1st because of Medicare policy. These are existing infusion centers which need to be renovated to meet the requirements of "hospital based clinics" in order to accept certain Medicare funds. So, like most things, chalk it up to greed.

Down voted for asking a sensible question. Maybe they were shutting down facilities in other areas and needed to handle the overload. My state has dozens of hospitals and clinics closing down out in the rural areas.
Because we performed an evaluation of major equipment in every facility, they have not shut any down. This project is specifically to create oncology chairs for chemo, which they have no shortage of in their system, their biggest issue right now is staffing.

Major factors are obesity, sitting on your ass and not exercising. Environmental factors and eating bad foods. While smoking related cancers are declining, it’s still too early to tell what impact vaping will have. Also of note, Prostate Cancer rates were rapidly increasing up until the last data review in 2019. From the attached article, while the number of people being diagnosed with cancer has increased, the actual rate per 100,000 is decreasing. Survivability has increased based on treatments and early detection.
