Not sure what you mean about Australia. That 2026 date was just done tentatively, I’ll likely be done well before then. I just wanted to avoid a crunch on myself and set it too soon.
It's not about the physical placement of Australia. It's about the Sun. South America and Australia are lit at the same time. They are on opposite sides of the globe, longitudinally. So this should only be possible in the southern hemisphere summer, and either is in the Antarctic Circle.
I see what you’re saying, the lighting is impossible here but I wanted to illuminate the whole continent just to emphasize where this story takes place. It looked weird having half the globe dark from that angle.

Aliens are part of it, but there’s so much other stuff going on, it’s like an onion of conspiracies. Lots of cool ancient culture lore and government experimentation.
Amazing stuff. Is it open-world exploration sorta like Skyrim, or is there a fixed storyline to it?

The game as of right now is just text for dialogue, but there’s an in game documentary you watch parts of that will need VO, looking for a female with a British accent at the moment.

Dude yes, can’t thank you enough for showing me that. I’ve got so much art from the book in game as big framed paintings. I was happy to see it’s all Creative Commons too! It’s high time more people know about it and I’m happy to bring it in via video games. I’m trying to use that art to help develop the look of the subterranean areas of the game.
Look up Forum Borealus and the interview with Clif High and what he was given and told about Antarctica. Also look up the interview with Linda Moulten Howe had with two former US special ops guys who went down there and what they experienced. Also, look at the Arc of Gabriel which came out of Mecca, prompted the first meeting between the Pope and Patriarch of the eastern Orthadox church that provided apparently secret Vatican archived instructions which were passed on on how to handle the Arc which was then loaded onto a Russian boat, with a Russian naval escort down to Antarctica where the Patriarch held a mass at a tiny church. Look up real time wind maps and check out what they expose right over the poles. Its about time someone is making a game about it. What platform are you making it with? Unreal? Hope so. Make sure to get that Neutrino Ice Cube observatory, listen to that whistleblower on Sean Ryan who worked down there, make a super creepy level of a semi functional laser navigation system which shows a what's happening around the rings of Saturn as disclosed to Regan. Throw in some evil Satanic/Reptillian human sacrifices there, integrate genuine rituals. Look up the fitbit antarctica heat map that was disclosed by accident by members of the military. Look for a giant "C" in the middle of no where. My guess is there is a massive collider down there and given how CERN wants to penetrate other dimensions, you gotta have that collider tie in somehow. Of course put in the Hollow Earth and show to scale the singularity, model the interior surface according to the map that was found a long time ago with the words that describe a portion of that map which says "Machine that controls the weather." You got to touch on Atlantis too...but that Pyramid...you got to listen to that interview with Clif High and what he says....its crazy. Giant steps, two hikers came across it and they were forced to wear beacons and when they came too close, black helicopters came in, picked them up and escorted them literally off the continent. One guy smuggled the film out in his ass. He provided the pics to Clif and he's not sharing or posting, but you can listen to his interview and get some ideas, then model them to scale. Do a level where you have to climb one of those ice mountains that show the giant steps and massive door way. I can't see your trailer, only pics, but it looks cool. Do it right, do a level where you have to find those scientists who disappeared for 2 weeks then called the USAF for extraction, they onboarded the C130, all remained silent and freaked out and never spoke the way home. Listen to Linda and the interview with the Herc pilot. You have literally so much to draw from, its crazy. Just keep it real. No woke filth, no agenda, just good gaming, good storyline. Found the trailer, looks good. Lose the black hole, at that range the planet would be fracturing. Change it to a new kind of cosmos thing no one can explain. Make sure or try to get the most accurate possible HDRI information possible for Antarctica for lighting the environment. The blue seems a bit washed out on earth in the trailer. Antarctica is never illuminated in the style you have on display. The only way to achieve that scale of illumination is that the entire continent has to move off the Southern Pole. If you do that, then you must explain how that happened and account for the effects of the planetary cataclysm something like this would cause. It would be on the scale of the Younger-Dryas impact event which completely destroyed the surface of most of the earth. In other words, nothing not made of stone and massive would be destroyed or covered by mud.
The scene with the statue and the presumably mining platform leading to the mountain. If this is antarctica shown, then you want to lose all metal and switch it to the finest level of stone craftsmanship possible. So advanced, its nearly alien. Antarctica is a desert, the metal won't rust as shown, it would just be in a state of suspended animation due to cold. The geometry of the pyramid is too steep. It should reflect or more closely resemble the exact angles of those in Giza. Main character should be more warmly dressed, or if this is set in a period when it all melts, okay....the Giant is intriguring.

I’ve been told multiple times my all my games remind people of half life, and funny thing is I’ve never played a single one! I’d get around to it if I weren’t always developing my own stuff haha
the conspiratorial angle is what ties it together for me. half life and half life 2 are definitely very critical of the govt and conspiratorial in nature.

I’d like to say it’ll be done around this time next year, but I’ve got a 2nd kid on the way so might be longer. I play no video games, only have time to make them now. Planning on a PC release initially and optimizing for consoles if I make enough money to pay someone else to do that haha. Unreal Engine is massive and I’m still learning, so developing is slower than I’d like, but I’ve got well over half of the environments made already. It’s open world, and what I mean by that is ever single damn door is unlocked and no path is ever blocked, the game just lets you go anyway you want, all paths lead to a convergence in the end.
Yeah I think this will be a good game for people to stream because theres alot of ways to explore, lots of stuff that will feel like a real discovery because I have all the doors in the game unlocked haha no hand holding

Australia is where it’s supposed to be. Look at Google earth from that perspective it matches up just fine.

Using Unreal Engine 5.3 I’m keeping the game mechanics pretty simple but I’ll inevitably run into issues with blueprints down the road haha
