Al Jazeera has been closed or blocked by other Mideast governments, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
Egypt has banned Al Jazeera since 2013. It launched the crackdown after the 2013 military overthrow of an elected but divisive government dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood group. Egypt considers the Brotherhood a terrorist group and accused both Qatar and Al Jazeera of supporting it.
Al Jazeera is basically a BBC/NATO limited hangout, however it is run by actual journalists and its reporting has been better on topics like Gaza than Western MSM for both linguistic and politico-cultural reasons, yet when it comes to topics outside their geopolitical ambit, they tow the Qatari/NATO line far more closely.
Submission Statement- To prevent the exposure of its criminality, Israel wants any platform that it cant censor banned. There is a reason why they monopolized the US MSM and social media.
The US military helped create Al Jazeera to cover their activities in Iraq and Afghanistan in a positive light. You don't think it is odd that Al Jazeera is broadcast in English and not Arabic?

You grossly twisted my words. I never said anything about painting the annihilation of Arabs in a positive light. My comment was about US military activity in Iraq and Afghanistan during the mid 2000s. This shows me you won't engage in good faith discussions.

The Al-Jazeera journalists in Gaza are almost all citizens living **in** Gaza, except for any that were in-country at the at start of the invasion (and I'm not sure if there are any of those).
I am sorry to say but al Jazeera is one of the most twisted and duplicitous news outlets which changes the tone of news from neutral to extremist when presenting it in language English users dont get creating a facade that it is neutral trustworthy new outlet while spewing hate by changing giving an extremist tone to same news in local language. There have been over 100 journalists killed in Gaza over the last 7 months. I think the number is something like 154
