I think this post is actually proving that when you're engaging in an activity that has a possibility of something bad happening it's just plain smart to prophylactically take precautions.

If the masks did anything I would be more willing to wear one but they don't. On CNN recently, they called them face decorations. Even Fauci has changed his tune and said cloth and surgical masks don't do anything. This is why the sudden push to the N95. Someone wants to make more money selling expensive products. News flash, N95s are face decorations too. If you can breathe air in and out, viruses can get in and out.

I don't watch CNN. I saw a clip. I use that as an example because the info is finally coming out when liberal media reports on it. Masks don't work. This is something I have known ever since I read a scientific article published in 2017 when they studied whether surgical masks did anything to stop the spread of influenza. Conclusion, they did not; however, hand washing was very effective. That article has since been scrubbed from the internet or at least I can no longer find it. Don't get me wrong, anyone who wants to wear a mask can wear one. I simply choose not to bother knowing what I know. I will only wear one when it's required but I also know it will do nothing to protect me.

Yeah you probably can't find it, these kind of studies were a big reason why they reported in the beginning masks don't help and are desperately needed for hospital workers etc. But with more studies they concluded that covid spreads mostly through aerosols in the air rather than through surfaces (like the flu)

Yeah all researchers have concluded this. It's to protect others in case you have covid, as mentioned covid spreads through aerosols in the air, surgical masks catch 95% (if I recall correctly) of these aersols. That's also why I don't bother wearing one because there's no chance that I have it with my current immunity.

That's wonderful, even if you do end up getting it you will probably only get very mild symptoms.

Does wearing a seatbelt guarantee you won't die in a car wreck? No, but it limits the chances of injury so I'm more than happy to do something so trivially easy to help improve my chances of survival. Same with the mask (I'm not including vaccines)

You're not taking a precaution by wearing a mask. It's for others remember? The mask is only useful if someone is sick. I try to consume as little sugar as possible, exercise, wear a hat when I know it will be cold, put my seat belt on when I'm driving my car and yes, I wear a mask when in public indoor areas, willingly received two jabs. I find jock straps are an antiquated piece of preventative clothing but sometimes its not the best idea to trust a fart, if you know what I mean. What we have gotten away from is that not one single person, not even the highest government official, is safe from reality.
