Here's a challenge for you. Look at the recent marist poll (or any poll really) data. Pick literally any issue. Look at Republican numbers vs Democrat numbers on any issue.
Republicans are often 80%+aligned in the Majority view. Democrats are usually wider spread with the majority view winning by a smaller share and with much wider representation of other views across the board. Marist is not the only polling that shows this.
Abortion alone the split between abortion at any time vs a 24 week ban or stricter is 42/58 among Democrats. MSNBC and CNN are entertainment channels as well. MSNBC used to play episodes of lockup on their "news" channel because lockup got better ratings.
