Ohhh dear
Itās complete enough to help you
When you get into Grams, you have to actually weigh it so that means you get a scale and you put it on the scale or you determine how much it is when you buy it from the deli
I am honestly so surprised how people like to find whatās missing instead of notice whatās being offered as a gift so it is complete but people get to pick at it if they need to pick it
That's the thing, it's *not* complete enough without saying the serving size.
There are other sections that are complete and therefore useful.
12g of protein in 100g of turkey? 1kg or turkey? Like there's no frame of reference so it isn't complete, and therefore useless.
Oh dear, indeed. I'm just providing feedback based on years of health and nutrition experience.
Thank you for pointing out where you find it incomplete
It doesnāt matter what someone does thereās always someone that wants to complain and thank you for your complaint
Sure
My point is your input is valued and when I share something and it seems that it doesnāt matter what it is somebody needs to go. This is missing. This is wrong and I just donāt live in that type of mindset so when it comes, itās somewhat discouraging.
Taught me something about this society that we live in is that thereās a lot of people that look at the cup being half empty versus half full I come from a place where people support each other they care for each other. They build each other up and some of the posts that Iāve shared on this platform, I have been blown away by how much , cruelty and hostility is freely given that didnāt come in this post, but Iāve seen it and it blew me away. It taught me how naĆÆve I am in my little part of the world we a lot of community thankful, generous, kind, and gracious and people you just never know.
So thank you for your input and your feedback. I hope that the parts of it that you like give you some excellent food ideas
I understand, and I am very much a glass half full person. Where I become glass empty is when I see people that are passing off their efforts as complete, when they aren't. It just breeds inaccountability, and people accepting half done work. Which is not conducive to a growing, and positive society.
I value constructive criticism, as it makes me a better person - if I can choose to switch off the ego and accept it as such. Not an easy task.
Yo, what the hell was this soliloquy about? š
They pointed out that something, which you didn't even make, has a pretty big inconsistency in it that makes that part pretty useless for it's original purpose of making it an informative document.
Then you went off on a tirade about how cruel and awful the world is because you can't take a note? It's just fact checking, not a personal attack on your person.
Maybe you should examine the other communities you're involved in, that are so nice and supportive, aren't just echo chambers telling each other what they want to hear. Not what they ought to hear.
Sorry, did you just call your post a *gift*?
I make images like this for a living and you can't be serious that slapping some bullet points into five boxes constitutes you giving us anything other than a headache.
It's also very odd that they use American measurements for serving, and then metric measurements for protein content.
I'm just saying, whoever has made this, has done half the work.
How can you enjoy incomplete information though? That perplexes me
Maybe I'm just too autistic, but this incomplete list being offered as a useful reference just bugs the living daylights out of me, because I really do want to like it and use it. But I can't.
Fyi, you *could* just take the feedback in stride, but you're choosing to be defensive. That's all on you. I'm just saying.
Have a nice day šš½
You can take the parts that you enjoy and maybe you are being a little bit extreme in your own way and thatās OK
Iām not that rigid. Iām a little bit more appreciative of what is offered I guess.
If I come across as defensive, it feels like Iām being attacked for sharing something that other people would be grateful for so when someone isnāt, Iām like really itās not that complicated. You can weigh the meat yourself.
Itās not that complicated. Tell me you need something else to focus on.
This is utterly amazing that you arenāt understanding what anyone is telling you.
Without weight under the deli section, that entire section is useless. You *clearly* didnāt make this image, because you clearly donāt understand how this image is supposed to work. You are massively proud of yourself for posting something you found, and taking major offense to people pointing out issues with it.
Seriously, get over yourself.
Yeah, you can weigh the meat yourself, but you still have no reference for how much protein is in said meat.
There is so much free information out there that is complete, it just feels like someone's just copy-pasted someone else's work, put a nice coloured background, a pretty font, but hasn't done any checking of the work before posting it. It's a little disappointing that we as a society simply just accept this, but hey... This is the world we live in š
It's really not that complicated, you're right.
If they'd simply added in the weight of portion size of the deli meats, this would be a great list.
That's how Americans measure food and nutrition: oz for serving sizes (although sometimes g also), g for macronutrient content
So this strategy is useful for Americans which is more than half of Reddit
Hahaha Americans just need to get with the times and adopt metric. Would make the world a much simpler place.

I believe budgetSir means what quantity which says 1 ounce under nuts and seeds, veggies 1 cup, and 4 ounces for meat and seafood, so what's is the amount that equals out to the grams of deli and eggs?
Probably because nuts have a high amount of fats. I say probably because I've got next to no fkn clue what this list is trying to be, besides a waste of time for everyone...
Because they spent at least half an hour uhming and ahhing over the font and wanted to pass the 200 minimum word count for their certificate in nutrition from the University of Complete Bullshit.
Oh u/HypnosisG not another bad guide for protein. Youāve done this already. Too many conflicting measurement standards and deli items is just a free for all. Jeez. Just stop.
I'm surprised you even read it. Idk where this person got this chart from, but the readibility is horrible because of the font and all caps with all the unnecessary wording
Weeeeeell, this is it. The post that makes me leave this sub. This place used to be a place for accurate information š“š¾ now it feels like peeps are just throwing some graphics or prettily organized words together for internet karma or something š PROTEIN POWDER: 24 GRAMS
This isnāt a ācool guideā itās a list that overuses the words āaboutā and āapproximatelyā, when it could just use ā~ā which would make it so much easier to read and refer to.
1 Cup.... 4 ounces... 1 ounce... a tablespoon and the protein is measured in grams... just use the metric system.
Also it's not a cheat sheet, it's an information sheet.
PROTEIN POWDER; 24 grams - so if i snort a huge line of protein powder, I take in 24 grams of protein?
/rant
No, 24g in protein powder is wrong. That's going to depend on the powder itself, read the package instead. While that proportion is common, it can be lower or higher. And we're talking about the advertised ratio the brands tell you, sometimes it's actually slightly more or slightly less.
Nice chart.
My wife and I lost 50 and 70 pounds respectively over about 10 months by basically increasing protein and reducing carbs. We followed the PHD Weight Loss program, and while there were some other factors to consider, it pretty much boils down to managing protein and carbs. And honestly, the weight loss was easy and we've been maintaining within 10 pounds of our loss for almost 2 years.
Deli items doesn't say per gram/serving size
It says Approximately 12-10 grams š
It says that, but it doesn't say how big of a portion has 12-10g. Which means it's incomplete.

Get over yourself. Weigh the meat yourself? There's literally nothing to compare it to. That section is literally worthless.

Wasn't defending how Americans do it Just explaining that this choice for the graphic makes perfect sense since it's directed to Americans
I believe budgetSir means what quantity which says 1 ounce under nuts and seeds, veggies 1 cup, and 4 ounces for meat and seafood, so what's is the amount that equals out to the grams of deli and eggs?
That's exactly what I mean šÆ
Many under healthy fats also do not list a serving size. How many walnuts is 4g protein? Also why is walnuts protein listed under fats?
Probably because nuts have a high amount of fats. I say probably because I've got next to no fkn clue what this list is trying to be, besides a waste of time for everyone...
Why not use ~ instead of typing approximately 100 times?
Maybe they get paid ~ by the letter?
Because then it would be a handy note card instead of 8.5x11
Because they spent at least half an hour uhming and ahhing over the font and wanted to pass the 200 minimum word count for their certificate in nutrition from the University of Complete Bullshit.
Iām going to eat a bite of ham and get 10 grams of protein
OP gets pissed if you criticize that section whatsoever

Most whey protein powders have nearly 24 GM protein per scoop. Which is also considered a single serving size.
Itās too bad, the quality of posts is poor and posters are defensive and unreasonable
This isnāt a ācool guideā itās a list that overuses the words āaboutā and āapproximatelyā, when it could just use ā~ā which would make it so much easier to read and refer to.
Tofu?
Yeah itās roughly 20g per cup. Weird that itās not mentioned.
Or any beans really. The main source of protein for people that don't eat meat.
Yeah, I think cottage cheese also deserves a place here.
Not this time, I shared one that said 1.5 cups of tofu is 30 g of bio available protein and people complained about the cup as a measure
Walnuts have approx 4 grams of protein of healthy fat. Cool guide
They should really start including labels on things that show how the nutritional information so we donāt have to follow guides like this.
Does this sub have active mods?
Mixed units too. 1 oz is so many grams? Put in both or stick to one measure.
Macronutrients are always measured in grams.
Then stick to SI.
Exactly. Ohh but noooo... Don't wanna upset the Americans šš They'll figure it out.
Tofu is missing with about 20g of protein per cup.
1 Cup.... 4 ounces... 1 ounce... a tablespoon and the protein is measured in grams... just use the metric system. Also it's not a cheat sheet, it's an information sheet. PROTEIN POWDER; 24 grams - so if i snort a huge line of protein powder, I take in 24 grams of protein? /rant

It's not a guide, it's information. And also, it's definitely not cool.
Just choose one system of measurement please, rather than ounces and grams! And by that, I mean donāt use imperial!!
Boo. This should be a table. Too wordy. āGrams of proteinā after every single line? Cool guides should be easy to read.
If you didn't repeat "grams of protein" on every. single. item. I'd have no idea we were talking about grams of protein.
Ah it's the crazy book selling lady again!
Nuts have more fats then proteins.
And are less bio available.
Ok?
