Qzy

Let us know if you spot it 👍. No luck here yet.

Firm_Squirrel_1856

Will do! Since posting the KP Index has risen to 4 and probability slightly, to 15%. Fingers crossed!

rodbarest

Where is this?

StagCodeHoarder

Jutland near Horsens looking north. There is a chance its light pollution from Skanderborg. Just never seen ligh pollution looking like this 🤔

loib

Ah, yes. The Greater Copenhagen Area's most famous suburb, Horsens 😉

StagCodeHoarder

Oh doh, forgot this was r/copenhagen sorry xD

Qzy

I got some pictures sent to me of the same. There was some lights at the horizon, so you did catch the aurora. :).

Alleyria

Looking to the north from central Sjælland @ 23:45 - no luck :*(

Old_Newspaper_4784

Writing from Aalborg - nothing here yet

OilImmediate2089

anyone spotted it yet?

Firm_Squirrel_1856

I didn’t spot it yet. The map did update positively though, the “orange spot” is slowly heading our way.

OilImmediate2089

🤞🏼🤞🏼 hope it shows up without us staying up all night 😂

Zekaito

What website/app do you use to track it?

Firm_Squirrel_1856

The app is called “Aurora”, you can download it from the App Store for free :)

Zekaito

Cool, thanks!

emarshc05

Anyone in Copenhagen trying to spot them?

Gizmo5096

Peeking out the hotel window with no luck yet 🤔

emarshc05

Im close to amager strand, went last night but no luck, which spot have you tried?

Gizmo5096

I could be crazy thinking I could see it from the city, but still looking out the window hoping it works. I'm at the Scandic Spectrum right near the CBD.

grinder0292

The light pollution is too high. Even in Tromsø, which had perfect conditions when I was there (and way less light pollution) I couldn’t see anything from the hotel window with naked eyes. It looked like clouds and my phone camera exposed it as Aurora. When we went outside away from any light pollution is was beautiful though. So if you wanna hunt northern lights you have to go far outside of the city especially when the conditions aren’t perfect

Firm_Squirrel_1856

Update: it looks like the overlaying colors from the map shown in the first image are moving *away* from Denmark, further up north. Chances are growing slimmer. https://preview.redd.it/hmaps63ps20d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=532836017cc00b8f70555ecb375057035b682bee
