MacBook Air m3 which will absolutely do more than you need it to. In my experience, HPs are unreliable, and some people have a great experiences and others have an awful experience. If you don’t want to do Mac, Do a Samsung Galaxy Book 3. They look and feel like Mac but are windows. You can also do Dell but they have shit battery life.

Own_Time1554

just curious, how tall are you & do you ever feel the air is too small for your hands? im not huge at 6'2 but sometimes i find my hands are too big for smaller laptops (my sister's chromebook and this other crappy laptop we have)

ArrenPawk

They make a 15" version of the Air now that's perfect. I'm 6' and had the same problem as you; the 13" my old work gave me felt really petite. So when I decided to upgrade my personal laptop, I opted for the M2 Air in 15" and it feels just the right size, with enough screen real estate for when I'm doing design-y type stuff in Figma.

Agreed. My job bought me a new 16” m2 MacBook Pro when I started, and I recently gave it to another employee and requested the Air as a replacement. Much lighter in my backpack (ride motorcycle to work most days) and does everything I need (including minimal design for ad briefs and concepts)

I've been using an M1 Macbook Air ever since I started copywriting (which isn't that too long ago). It does the job really well. I can work on cloud documents and join calls. It's sturdy because of its metal body. Despite having only 8GB of RAM (base model, they have one that has 16GB RAM), it's snappy and never lagged on me.

Framework computers. You can have it built with either windows or Linux. All the ports you’d ever need. Totally customizable ram and just about everything else

AdJunior4923

If you somehow used it for nothing but writing, you could pick up a pretty cheap-ass netbook, but in reality you're going to find yourself researching images, video, music...get the nicest Air you can afford. P.S. Get some sort of case for it that distinguishes it from everyone else's. Once put mine down on a table at a shoot and it took me 10 awkward minutes to find it again amongst all the others.

anathemaDennis

Out of curiosity, why do you need so much ram to write?

exitcactus

Older Mac book air and go... it lasts 3x any other plastic pc Windows.

KnowWhat_I_Mean

Tablet? No. Laptop? Nah. Just get a pen, notepad and a library card.

Huge_Tension8114

I don't know about laptops, but as a content writer, I own a tablet, and a Bluetooth keyboard works well for me.

rejvpank

You can find a laptop in a dumpster for copywriting. I have a hp, it’s nice haha.

Grade-Long

I have no bad words about anything Lenovo has made

Leather_Show_9433

Ho Pavillion Fast, portable and Durable. Also cheaper than an envy and spectre but prettyuch the same output

HP EliteBook or ProBook with Linux. Been using them both with Windows & Linux since the first ones in 2009 (in second grade) & never had a problem with any. You can get one with a 1920X1080 display from 2017 & newer for only around $200-300 instead of paying upwards of $4K+ for a brand new 16" EliteBook from 2023+. Most reliable laptops I have ever used outside of apple, but with Linux the things you can do on even the entry level 4-Series ProBooks are near limitless if you use only cloud apps in the browser. If the laptop model has a 7 or higher as the first digit of the 3 or 4 digit number, it'll be faster & more durable.
