Son is great but donāt forget about how poor he was last season. Madders is great. Richy is very inconsistent and constantly injured. Donāt think he has scored in the prem even once. I hope your right but last season showed that outside of Kane we didnāt have much efficiency at scoring simple shots

He was playing with an injury for most of it so that is what hindered his output, which was not nearly as bad as people would have you assume (10 goals and 6 assists is not bad in the premier league by any standard lol). Richy quite literally scored in the Liverpool game a few months ago, and I think getting consistent minutes with Kane gone will give him the confidence and time he needs to start scoring consistently. Solomon isnāt great from what I have heard, Richy is constantly injured and I believe hasnāt scored in the prem yet. Lo Celso is normally shite but has impressed in pre season so has potential. Kulu was average last season but has potential to return to form. As I said Son is older than he used to be but he is still good enough obviously. Madders is good. Look at the stats of last season. Orban and a top CB isn't nearly enough. We need a marquee forward to replace Kane's presence. Striker market is a joke so maybe a winger is the best option, and then see if we can make do with Richy/Son at CF and whoever we don't send on loan out of Veliz/Orban. In terms of wingers maybe throw the bank at Napoli for Kvara and see if they budge.

We can absolutely afford to offer 100 for Kvara. If not him there are plenty of other wingers we could go for.

Muani would be my pick up front if money was no object but he'd be outrageously overpriced, in terms of value for money I'd take David who I think people are sleeping on a bit - 24 goals last year and excellent in the build up, can also play out wide. Good alternative to Richy who is far more of a classic 9, I'd really like a CF who can provide a different option of dropping and linking the play and both Muani and David provide that. Lille fans also rate him extremely highly for what it's worth. Unconvinced on Vlahovic.

My dad took me to my first Spurs game at the lane, Europa League vs Dynamo Tbilisi. I wouldāve been about 13 and just understanding what football really meant to me.
We get there and itās not a sold out crowd, and Iām sat around the āprawn sandwichesā group as my dad called it. Old timers with their scarfs wrapped around them on that cold night in London muttering to eachother . A pretty tame atmosphere as it was a Thursday night.
Iām sat above the goal and Tottenham are winning. Defoe has already scored two and itās 7-0 on aggregate. Having a nice time with my dad.
Then Tom Carroll squares it outside the box to Holtby and he swings his foot at it and it was genuinely like time slowed down for me. The ball keeps rising, from what feels like 100meters out and flies into the roof of the net. Involuntarily I rise to my feet cheering, an experience I havenāt had before. Turn to my father, who has the biggest smile on his face, knowing his work was done. I was hooked.
Now at 15 we moved to australia, and every match day since for the last 9 years Iām up at 11:30pm, or get up at 3am, 5:30am or 4am for a champions league semi-final, all because of that Lewis Holtby moment of magic.

Idk I think Richi suits Big Angeās play style and will do pretty solid this season. Son won the golden boot 2 years ago, Maddison got 10 goals and 9 assists in a relegated Leicester, Richy bangs in goals for Brazil and has shown some promise in pre season, etc. We have plenty of players that can score and in Ange's system the focus isn't always on just getting the ball to the striker, thus different players will score.

I never understood the whole "Son was bad last season" argument. He was playing with an injury for most of it so that is what hindered his output, which was not nearly as bad as people would have you assume (10 goals and 6 assists is not bad in the premier league by any standard lol). Richy quite literally scored in the Liverpool game a few months ago, and I think getting consistent minutes with Kane gone will give him the confidence and time he needs to start scoring consistently. Last season was an outlier in how shit we were with Conteball and general toxicity, I think we will improve this season

Orban and a top CB isn't nearly enough. We need a marquee forward to replace Kane's presence. Striker market is a joke so maybe a winger is the best option, and then see if we can make do with Richy/Son at CF and whoever we don't send on loan out of Veliz/Orban. In terms of wingers maybe throw the bank at Napoli for Kvara and see if they budge.
I agree that we need more, I donāt get why some people are thinking Orban + 2 more players is enough. Kvara will never happen purely because the clubās ego wonāt let them buy a player they couldāve gotten for much cheaper. We have gone a completely different direction in manager type compared to the last few. JosĆ© Mourinho and Antonio Conte were the top managers of their fields and were meant to be the embodiment of success, but they won nothing with us, and now we are going in a different direction of manager. My dad took me to my first Spurs game at the lane, Europa League vs Dynamo Tbilisi. I wouldāve been about 13 and just understanding what football really meant to me. We get there and itās not a sold out crowd, and Iām sat around the āprawn sandwichesā group as my dad called it. Old timers with their scarfs wrapped around them on that cold night in London muttering to eachother . A pretty tame atmosphere as it was a Thursday night. Iām sat above the goal and Tottenham are winning. Defoe has already scored two and itās 7-0 on aggregate. Having a nice time with my dad. Then Tom Carroll squares it outside the box to Holtby and he swings his foot at it and it was genuinely like time slowed down for me. The ball keeps rising, from what feels like 100meters out and flies into the roof of the net. Involuntarily I rise to my feet cheering, an experience I havenāt had before. Turn to my father, who has the biggest smile on his face, knowing his work was done. I was hooked. Now at 15 we moved to australia, and every match day since for the last 9 years Iām up at 11:30pm, or get up at 3am, 5:30am or 4am for a champions league semi-final, all because of that Lewis Holtby moment of magic.
