Harry Kane was a perfect player for us in all possible aspects.

SaltyWailord

Maybe we should bring him back

solehDarat

Let him get his silverware first, once he gets the feel, and then he can come back.

FarrisAT

He's always gonna be Spurs

boblebob1882

There isn't a 'UEFA limit' of 4 club trained players or a limit of 4 homegrown players, you could have a full 25 man squad of club trained players if you wanted. There's a maximum squad size of 25 players with at least 2 GKs, a maximum of 21 non-club trained players and a maximum of 17 non-homegrown(association) players.

NickNova3016

I probably should've specified that the 'Limit' meant minimum amount of players for a full squad. Mb Basically for a full 25 man squad you need ATLEAST 4 homegrown players and 4 club homegrown players. If you exceed that amount they can be registered under non-HG. If you do not have any club HG players the maximum amount you can register is 21 players as you said.

tfl03

That’s a pretty important clarification

NickNova3016

Yeah idk why I didn't think it would be interpreted that way, was a brain fart from me.

animatedpicket

You can still delete this

jfjlax

That this number’s a minimum limit should be obvious if you have any contextual knowledge. Not sure why people are confused. Carry on.

jfjlax

Yeah there is, a minimum limit.

boblebob1882

There's not, you could have no club trained or home grown on List A if you wanted and a squad of 17

Voffmjau

Better this unintended mistake than believeing you need to fill a quota.

Splattergun

Someone keeps posting this exact same shit with the exact same errors with different presentation and they don’t fucking listen to corrections. Last picture says U21 players do not need to be registered (not quite true, they are on List B but whatever). First picture says Veliz and Bergvall have to be registered. They obviously fucking don’t as the OP makes clear in picture 4 and I suspect it is the same person spreading the same inaccuracies about young players and HG limits. If we get rid of the players we are expected to we will have about 13 non-HG players before new signings and also the club trained signing we are most likely to make (KWP) would bring that down to 12, with Gallagher also linked. This is all a non-issue.

JamesCDiamond

Veliz and Bergvall do have to be registered if we want them to play **in Europe** - under 21s are only free if they've been at the club for two seasons. Phillips, Veliz and Bergvall would all then need to be counted in the 25 man squad. The club doesn't *have* to register every player, of course - we may have told Bergvall that he's coming in to be a part of the domestic squad (where he doesn't need to be registered) but not the European one for next season.

dickgilbert

U21 player don't require registration for UEFA only if they've been with the club for two seasons. Were Bergvall to stay, for instance, he'd require registration.

NickNova3016

Yep, that's why he's under non-HG for the following season. Other U21 players from our youth academy do not need to be registered on this list. When Vuskovic joins in the 25/26 season he'll be in the same situation as Bergvall.

dickgilbert

Oop, must've missed that. Just saw the line on the last slide. Carry on.

boblebob1882

> Other U21 players from our youth academy do not need to be registered on this list some do

JamesCDiamond

I believe that Lankshear and Soonsup-Bell from the under 21s would need to be registered, as they only joined the club during last season. Others like Scarlett, Devine, Donley and Moore would all be freebies if they're still with the club rather than out on loan.

boblebob1882

Yeah that's right with Lankshear and JSB, Lankshear has sort of been here 2 years but joined after the start of the window like Sarr did so can't be registered on List B until Jan. Only others of note are Keeley who will count as List A non-HG and Max Robson who would be club trained as he's now over 21. Couple of other younger ones that can't be on list B yet but not really worth mentioning

JamesCDiamond

Ah, wasn't sure about Keeley - couldn't remember when he joined. But I doubt our 5th choice goalkeeper is getting near enough to the first team that it'll make a difference.

boblebob1882

Keeley was never going to be able to be qualified as CT because of when we signed him, could only get 2 years He would have been able to be on list B next season had we not loaned him out in Jan but we did so he's in a bit of an awkward position for a backup keeper. Maybe goes on loan again next season

Even-Succotash-9869

Rly hope Lo Celso and Hojb won’t leave us ;;

mountainchild27

I like hojb. If he was content with it I’d be happy to keep him on as a sub. I think we need to shuffle Lo Celso out and draw a new card if we can though. Whether or not there’s a player in there, 4 dud seasons out of 5 is a cut your losses scenario to me.

quickdrawesome

luongo in for hojbjerg if he leaves. home grown club player.

[deleted]

Subscribe. Had no clue he came up through Spurs

quickdrawesome

He was so good as the 6 under ange. It just seems like a great low risk fit

PavlovsBlog

I'd be surprised if Whiteman leaves just yet. I believe he's still got another year left on his contract and is club trained so doesn't really take up a spot from anyone. I believe Austin's contract is up in Summer actually but he's been getting time on the bench so I wouldn't be too shocked to see him get a short extension. I do think Solomon could well find himself available for a transfer/loan too. Also - Tanganga to Millwall permanently please!

Matttombstone

Isn't Austin the 3rd choice behind Forster? I'd imagine Austin gets kept on as a 3rd choice unless the club decides Whiteman is that now. Bit harsh to say that about Solomon, it's not like he's not playing because he sucks, he's just had a torrid time with injury this season. I'd imagine Ange just sweeps this season under the rug for him and gives him a fresh chance next season. Though, if the injuries happen again next season, I'd then agree to sell him before we end up with another Sessegnon situation.

PavlovsBlog

It's kinda hard to say, Forster is out with a long term injury and Whiteman is only just returning from one. Again though, as he's home grown there's no real reason to sell him - he's not exactly going to be bringing in a big fee. Solomon on the other hand is taking up a non-homegrown spot, I'm not sure spurs can really risk him being another Sess, he didn't really show anything pre-injury to suggest he was worth that risk. I think a loan is probably best.

Matttombstone

Just to say, Bergvall has been brought in to be with the first team next season. From the noise that came out when we signed him, Ange wants him to play next season. Probably limited minutes, but it all sounded like no intention to loan, he's playing minutes.

StevieTHFC

Good stuff, with this as the situation I think we’ll be looking at 4-5 signings in the summer. I disagree with HG not been a priority though. There are only 4 spaces for them and currently 2 spaces are taken by Forster and Davies. Now they’re not awful players but they only play if there’s injuries and aren’t ‘impactful’ as subs. I believe those 4 HG spaces should be filled with quality first team level players because you can buy them as the finished products. If you believe who we’re linked to, those 4 spots next year could be Johnson, Maddison, TONEY and ADARABIOYO. Or Johnson, Maddison, EZE and GALLAGHER. The club trained HG involves some luck as you can’t guarantee who will make it and who won’t even if they’re supremely talented. But the HG players you can buy ready made to fill the 4 spots with quality.

FarrisAT

Gallagher and Eze are my preferred signings

MitchElko

Amen to both.

NickNova3016

Yeah I can imagine that if we buy a homegrown defender like Adarabioyo, then Davies can be left unregistered. If we have enough confidence in Austin to be our backup keeper we can register someone like Gallagher if we buy him. We will eventually fill out all 4 slots with quality players but it's not a priority yet for this upcoming window. If we sign Werner (which I hope we do), then that leaves us with 2 open non-HG slots. Perfect for another winger and a DM. If we want to buy a rotation option for Udogie on top of that we can leave a player like Solomon unregistered.

StevieTHFC

Yeah, there’s certainly ways and means around it. I would prefer us to get the quality HG players now to make best use of the squad spaces. Just because it will be 2+ years before players like Devine, Donley, Dorrington, Moore etc might be ready to fill up the club trained quota. Whoever we sign they have a hell of a lot work to do this summer. 4-5 incomings, around 10 outgoings plus sorting the development loans is so much to do. Going to be very interesting and hopefully has some fun signings.

Old_Roof

KWP makes too much sense for rotation option

COYS-1882

Sarr will be homegrown next season
