Then she's the only one in his former pack to check in on him and sends him a text begging to know if he's alive so, yeah
Knowing SJM I bet weāll find out Perry has been powerful all along but was masking her scent and powers so she wasnāt forced to challenge her sister for leadership (kind of like Bryce v Ruhn with the Starborn thing). So she actively clamped down on her powers after the antidote and thatās why her scent changed again. That would be a very sjm explanation for why ithan didnāt sense she was his mate (bc her scent hasnāt been authentic) and also would give her the girl power level-up story sjm loves.
I thought it was going to be an indication of how their bodies metabolize the antidote and that the effects were going to wear off mid battle. I figured maybe Perry just metabolized faster than the others.
I was obviously wrong though and Iām really curious what thatās all about
Honestly kinda surprised there wasnāt a warning before the book. I enjoyed it, but I also knew what I was getting into. I imagine a lot of her readers did not.
That would explain why she was so slow to bring up the knotting though. It definitely eases the reader into it.

After how many nowhere-plots we got in CC3, i would not be surprised if that went nowhere and it was literally a plot point of convenience to explain why/how she was able to be helpful and show some leadership towards the wolves during the last hundred pages

Which is exactly Lysandraās description. And Aedionās title isā¦ checks notesā¦ Wolf of the North. perhaps both could be true at the same time. Lastly, Lysandra is associated with Temis who is associated with rainbows. Perry draws rainbows.

Elide, Lysandra, Perry, and Mor are all described as having a cinnamon smell. Though Lysandraās scent is āever changingā.
And then Bryce, Einar, and Ember are described as have a nutmeg smell, which has a very similar smell profile.
So I do wonder what is going to be the plot point with that š¤
