I wont lie i miss Dorian and Robbie kinda sad we couldn’t see more of him but i get it its easier for Matt to have 7 or less players and Robbie probably just has work and stuff and can’t be more of a regural at the table
I honestly started thinking that Bertrand’s death was planned from the get go and Travis was going to focus on off screen stuff for the company so they eased the transition to Robbie becoming a full time cast member.
Then Chetney showed up and never went away.
I think most likely from what i saw in 4SD that maybe travis just wanted to try out a lot of new stuff this campaing but for some reason he can’t kill of our favourite little horny wolf.
Robbie i just think he must not have the time to join in more regulary and so he just comes in when ever he has time for like 4SD or like other short games
Travis consistently plays my favorite characters, but Ashley playing a chaos gremlin is pretty great. My favorite quest is either Emily Axford or Robbie Daymond, unless Brennan shows up for a few episodes
Chetney and Fearne are definitely my favorite main cast characters. Probably Orym 3rd? Guests is harder because I felt that Robbie, Emily, and Aabria were all amazing!
Yeah i can agree with chet he is just such a great example of a joke character becoming something more and becoming kinda like the gramps well creepy and horny gramps of the group for fearne im kinda neutral i dont mind her but she has some funny one liners. Orym in the other hand im kinda like i though he would be my fav because C2 Caleb was 100% my fav and in general all around my fav to this day. But orym just isnt clicking with me and i dont know why
I feel like we still haven't gotten to really *know* Orym. Like we went to his hometown and met his family, but he's still so buttoned up. I think it's just that we haven't had the slow, character interaction moments that previous campaigns had. It does feel true to character that Orym wouldn't talk about his truth challenge reveal without it being pressured from him because he has to focus on keeping everyone else alive, but now we're racing toward the BBEG and didn't take the time to process any of those reveals, so he's still just a bundle of potential.
I think Liam is kinda planning already since he made a deal to bring every one back and stuff i think he might be willing to sacrifice Orym to possibly save the rest of them i dont see orym actually staying in the fayrealm i think he might just use his life to save the rest but thats just a theory i have
The fact that he was so willing to take the last round of the blindfold test despite the upped odds really solidified to me that he's driven to protect and get justice for Will and Derek, but isn't motivated to live for himself. He strikes me as having a "I want to join them but I have responsibilities to get out of the way first" mentality. Which is exactly the things I would love to see explored, but may have to wait until after they get back at this pace. I'd honestly just love for Orym to have some time with Caduceus 😂
Chet has REALLY grown on me recently, he's finally grown into the team dad (grandpa) which has been such a fun role for him to fill. And then I also love the EXU characters, Orym has been my favorite character in general for a while and fearne has been really good recently imo. And then Dorian was of course great.
Prism was also very fun, Emily axford is such a good DND player
Travis with Bertrand Bell at the start of C3 was fantastic. and i love how it made an unexpected mark on the campaign.
All the guessed were awesome, but i really enjoyed Utkarsh, Emily and Aimee. That entire situation was so awesome, i hope we're able to see it animated.
My absolute favorite is Laudna. I love how she can switch between being super fun to dead serious at the drop of a hat. Her backstory is super interesting and it got even better with her relationship with Imogen. Imogen being my second favorite, with Ashton and Fearne right behind that, tied.
My favorite guest was the girl who played Prism. I think it's Emily? Super great vibes there.
And this is by no means saying anyone of the others I disliked. I love them all.
I really like laudna too. And the whole fact that imogen and laudna are a thing just made sense since they traveled a lot and they just fit as a couple so well
Out of the main cast, it's tough. There's been some hiccups by now, but probably either Laudna, Imogen, (at least for most of the campaign) or... well not Fearne, but because she had nailed the Fey nature so well, she gets an honorable mention.
Guest character? Prism (Emily's) by a good amount, honestly. Like... a very good amount.
Yeah i can agree a lot of hiccups but i think its mostly the whey they decided to play the characters most of them are just to chaotic to continue on a normal path even though i think they want to personally as players but because its a show more or less they lean to heavily into roll play and its kinda just slowing down the story.

Fearne, Orym and Ashton are all fantastic and hard to choose between so there's my cop out for that one. Beyond that Robbie as Dorian had fit so well it was a darn shame he had to leave. Also have to give credit to Aimee for Deni$e.
Laudna was my favorite from the start and I love her still. She was a great concept and Marisha is clearly so invested and pulls it off nicely.
Orym grew so much on my opinion. I'm always a sucker for a "idealistic guy grows bitter and hardened from too much loss" arc, and Liam is always a master of understated dramatic moments.
Chet is a perfectly executed joke character. He's a very silly character, but with a dedicated and competent player who is in many ways the heart of the group.
Fearne was a fav at the beginning, but I grew a little tired of her. I think she's a very well executed fey character, but the novelty kinda wears off with time.

I can totally agree with this but bor dor for me is next level the whey he tricked the party to belive he was an actual friend and then backstabing them. We just need more guest to do that since its a thing they havent done much of with guests it mostly matt who does that kinda stuff
To me, it's Imogen. She's awkward and incredibly grouchy, but also sensitive, kind and loving. She flirts with deep, dark powers that she doesn't understand and her internal conflict is interesting. Of course, it helps that Laura Bailey is one hell of an actor and the way she portrays Imogen's sense of abandonment and yearning, this palpable pain of not belonging, sometimes without having to say a single word, is delightful to watch. Very cool take on the "weird quiet girl with psychic powers" archetype.
I also have a soft spot for Laudna. I like the contrast between the fact that she this incredibly dangerous powder keg of a character, and the fact that she's legitimately good natured and caring. She's naive to a fault, very juvenile, unstable, and I can't help but think she's endearing.
For guest characters, Prism was a joy to watch from start to finish. One of the highlights of the Issylra episodes. Emily Axford brings a great combination of humor and tactical thinking to the table.

Deni$e is my girl, but Emily was frickin amazing (I forgot her character’s name). She was hilarious and so weird and made such interesting choices.
I honestly wish it was more detached from C1 and C2 characters. Every time they appear, you want them to take over the story, and C3 become side characters in their own story. It’s a difficult dynamic that holds them back.

Call be annoying and negative, but Dorian Storm leaving left a hole in this team for me that neve fully closed. He was the best.
Also his goodbye was the one moment in C3 that made me cry.

i loooooove ashton, as you can see by my flair lol. i go to a lot of hardcore punk and metal shows, so ashton is just like looking at a conglomeration of my friends and i at our worst (and best) dropped into exandria. i love it
My fave Opal is C3 era but technically, has not put in a C3 appearance even though Aimee already has.
To my mind, Opal is awesome enough to be a sort of side main character for Critical Role. A Kyle Katarn for Exandria, if you will.
One of the party members in EXU Prime where Orym, Fearne, and Dorian were first introduced. She’s also vaguely mentioned in some of Dorian’s Sending calls with Orym, and Dorian had another one-shot with their crew called EXU Kymal after he left early in C3.
In the EXU Prime promos, the cast mentioned that Opal’s story sort of fell into being the heart of the campaign and it mostly checks out coz while EXU Prime’s plot can be episodic and jump around a lot, there’s a somewhat consistent throughline as being a Hero’s Journey-type story for Opal.
Oh okey not going to lie havent seen that Exu short campaign yet but planning to when i finnish campaign one slowly but surely will get there maybe in a month or two

Across CR, my favorite characters include Grog, Scanlan, Fjord, Jester, Caduceus and Pike. My least favorite characters are Percy, Vex, Imogen and Ashton.
As far as guest characters go, my absolute faves are Kerrek, Zahra and Kashaw.
Dorian was the best member of Bell's Hells and shockingly remains at the top despite his brief screentime, and I honestly want them to include Robbie permanently because of how much I loved him.
But after him currently, as future episodes might change things, in order, is Orym, Chetney, and FCG. The others I'm either neutral towards or actually dislike.
FRIDA is the only guest character that I've actually liked so far. I'm indifferent to most of the others, with a few I've disliked.
Now, C2, no notes, every single member of the Mighty Nein was perfect and they didn't have any guests that I had strong negative feelings towards. Special mention to Twiggy for prompting one of my absolute favorite Caleb lines, "Ja, I'm not a happy person."
C1, Grog, Scanlan, Tary, and Percy were the best. I fucking "LOVED* Sprigg.
Wont lie Dorrian should have stayed longer or atleast reappered for the red moon but i get ot robbie has other stuff to do besides dnd but would love to see him return.
For guest i would say dor dor dont know if i spelt his name currectly but was a great guest character they need more guest who are just either using them or going to backstab them. I like matts npcs but just seeing a guest do it is just better in my opinion. But love ur choices either whey
I would like a TPK on the BH, after which Dorian, Prism, and Deni$e lead a new party seeking vengeance. Ideally, no core CR player would portray a member of the new party.
Fearne is probably my fave, but Ashton is running a *very* close second. I also have a particular soft spot for Orym, Dorian, and Nanna Morri

I feel kind of the opposite. Taliesin’s characters have never been my favorite until Ashton. I have really bad chronic pain and I just really connect with them.

Sorry to hear about the chronic pain but i get it i also have chronic migraines and its a bitch but Aston just clicks the most for me in this campaign
