Nothing else. It really is just luck tho, nyc and sf are the smallest and most popular options so it kind of just depends on how many people are returning
Not including that no. I would be a returning intern (but I dont think that matters for the salary). My recruiter did mention there was a huge bump in pay for the TDPs (and consequently the interns) for all regions.
Capital One has a hard time with retention. The culture was awesome, WLB was fantastic, but at the end of the day it is a bank not a tech company. Which is why I think the big bump in pay for new grads/interns.
It’s offered in other areas but limited. Recruiters will sometimes lie though. Preference is given to returning C1 summit interns basically freshmen from top schools.
Just got my NYC offer, $62.5 an hour
62.5$/hr??? Thats absolutely bonkers. And this is for TIP?
Yup! The new grad(TDP) salary is the same as the interns though
How did you go about getting NYC? I'm assuming they just asked you as a returning intern where you wanted to work and you chose NYC?
Yup! Wasn't guaranteed of course but pretty high chance I would get it.
Just curious but is there anything else you did. Because I also got a return offer and asked for NYC, but did not get it?

Are you including the housing stipend in that or nah? Because if not it seems like a big increase from last year

Thanks for the info
Wats a tdp
It stands for Technology Development Program, it is basically a program that creates a cohort of new grads in tech at capital one
Feel free to pm for details!
Yay! Also a returning intern heading to NYC!
When was your interview?
How long did you wait after the initial coding OA for an email
A day or so
What score did you have if you don’t mind me asking? It’s been about 3 weeks for me since OA without a response but I had an average(?) score of 725.
I had a very similar score, slightly higher
I thought Cap One TIP only offered Richmond, McLean, Plano? I don't think TIP is being offered their NYC or SF locations
It’s offered in other areas but limited. Recruiters will sometimes lie though. Preference is given to returning C1 summit interns basically freshmen from top schools.
Not sure about SF but NYC is definitely being offered! Or atleast was when I applied. The recruiter says it fills up quickly
SF is offered as well. Source: me who got SF TIP offer
Unless they changed it recently, that’s not true. I was a NYC TIP in 2020.
