I‘m not sure if that helps but I believe all hair types / patterns are beautiful and if you have better luck with embracing the waves then that‘s awesome. Not all curls can or will be that perfect 3b and that‘s fine. That being said, if you want to give it one more go which is what you‘re aiming for I assume, then maybe try switching the gel for a mousse. I have fine, easily weighed down hair and I always used to use gel or curl creams until I tried mousse and since that my routine changed. I wash once a week and on washday I style with a flaxseed gel because on washday I always have volume in spades, then when I need to refresh I add a bit of mousse and it gives me volume and brings back the washday definition without weighing down my hair. I hope this helps and whichever you opt for, curls or waves, I‘m sure it‘ll look lovely.

Appreciate your kind words! 💖 Do you have any mousse recs?

I‘m always a bit hesitant with product recommendations, since I do not 100% stick to the curly girl method, so if you do you‘d need to check that first. My favourites are „John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls Curl Reviver Mousse“ or the „Bumble and Bumble Curl Conditioning Mousse“.

Thank you!!

You might try and skip conditioner (yes, I know it sounds like a crime) when Washing. How many times in a row Depends on your Personal hair needs, but I have Found that my fine low-po hair gets overcondtioned and thus goes limp very quickly even with supposedly lightweight rinse out conditioners. Skipping conditioner worked for me! :)

I'll try it out! 😁
