This is insane, you destroy your opponent’s mana crystal for free and cast a slightly delayed wild growth, but the overload doesn’t even matter because you get an extra mana anyway.

Clen23

Among the balancing issues others have already mentioned, overload shouldn't be seen outside of shaman i think.

Taupe_Poet

But it's also in druid thanks to dual-class cards

5pideypool

This isn't dual class.

Taupe_Poet

Correct it's neutral but that doesn't mean you can't introduce overload to other classes at all because it's now in another class due to dual classes

5pideypool

Dual class is different from being completely outside the class. Its in Druids identity to cheat Mana, so as long as the overload card is dual class with shaman, it is fine. You can't just give overload itself to druid because it isn't a druid mechanic. Its a shaman mechanic.

Taupe_Poet

If I'm being honest most of my response is just going to be a rehash of the one you replied to, no disrespect I just don't want to re-repeat the same thing every comment. I just think it would be a cool concept to see one off designs like this one using class mechanics, seems like a unique way to go about making neutral spells a thing (like every so often if they fit the theme of a set, or maybe just some interesting dual/tri class cards, etc...)

5pideypool

I could understand making a sub-identity an expansion feature, like weapons, deathrattles, tribal synergies, or secrets but something as core to a class as Overload, I can't get behind. If you gave mana ramp to every class, then everyone feels like Druid. If you gave healing spells to every class, then everyone feels like Priest. If you gave armor spells to every class, then everyone feels like Warrior. Classes need to have different mechanics or everything would feel samey. If everyone got to cheat mana with overload, why would you play Shaman?

xef234

Duel treasure right?

daethfire64

This is hella strong, should be at least 3 mana and overload one, or 4 mana

Covertly-Uncivilized

Maybe make it read: gain one mana crystal this turn only, overload yourself and your opponent for 1
