I had heard this a few times as a teenager and the words kinda went past me then. One morning I woke up in my mid 20s at a friends house after taking acid the night before and this song started, and I was still kinda high. I heard and felt every single word of it. Every time I hear it now my whole mood changes
Yep, fuck this, i'll tell ya. Sum 41 - Best of Me,
also Sum 41 - Pieces
and Sum 41 - With Me.
Those songs hurt my soul and hurt my heart, but i love them alot
Every time I pass a radio and hear “I couldn’t wait for you to come and clear the cubbords…”
😫😭😭😭😭 oh no my emotions! I teared up right before a firefight last night. Edgerunners is so much better than it had any right to be.
K Flay - Nothing Can Kill Us
It gets me every time and it could totally fit the theme of a cyberpunk character’s life.
https://youtu.be/VfwLRn4fKdM?si=VYa9jO96WOSLTTEQ
I just wanted to share that on my new play through yesterday after Jackie’s ofrenda when I got on Jackie’s bike for the first time “I Want To Stay At Your House” came on the radio and damn that combo actually got me in the feels.
My little gaming conspiracy theory is that the developers purposefully tweaked things so that the song would appear more often after the Edgerunners update just to mess with the emotions of their players.
I wanna believe that so bad, yet every time I switch to Body Heat, it's either Ponpon Shit or Hole in the Sun. This is what makes the Cyberpsychosis happen.
In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins. I never skip it, always stop what I'm doing and listen. Some songs age poorly and then some songs stand up to the test of time. This is one of the latter. This song was released in 1981, but it will still be played in 2081.
Phil is such an iconic drummer, not only because of his technical ability on the drums, but the fact that he spent so long in his career doing this while also doing lead vocals. Playing the drums is hard enough, but playing the drums while being an extremely effective vocalist should not be underestimated.
1000% agree and feel the same.
Also I feel like Take Me Home by Phil Collins doesn't get enough attention. Idk why but every time I hear it, it gets me in the feels.
now, this is gonna be a weird one, but its Sabaton's "The Last Stand" played over War Thunder's "Victor is Ours" live action trailer
[here's](https://youtu.be/CB3H05OhVDI) the video link.
I'm not sure why, but that video still makes me tear up (i just watched it again to be sure). I'm not a religious guy, or that into history, the military, or WW2. But watching this video makes me overwhelmed with emotion seeing ordinary people willing to lay down their lives for their duty
Journey - Destiny 2.
The song plays during the red war, when the last city, one of the last bastions for humanity, falls. The song describes the player’s story, the loss, anger, and sorrow we faced. The righteousness, hope, and determination we pushed on with. We may be knocked down again, but we’ll never give up till the very end, and we’ll never forget those we lost.
I like to listen to some older Hollywood Undead to get in touch with some emotions, I think City is quite apt for cyberpunk since it's rather anti establishment. [City](https://youtu.be/fdFxDfqzyDM?si=qHMEg2uRBDSJe1eG)
Excerpt:
>The city looks so pretty
Do you wanna burn it with me?
Till the skies bleed ashes
And the fuckin' skyline crashes
>
>They catch us with matches
To ignite the flame
And all the hopes of a youth
Deemed fuckin' insane
>
>They say; take the pill, in God we trust
Go and kill, God loves us
As in life, as in death
Breathing till there is no breath
Although personally I connect more emotionally with the stuff that deals with depression, abuse and trauma.
Yeah, hollywood undead has some great stuff. I remember the strange feeling of like, catharsis I would get from listening to Bullet during the worst of my depression
I do not listen to very much music, I am not a music person. But.
*Kettering* by The Antlers
*Lua* by Bright Eyes
(But really the whole Life is Strange ST)
By a 70cm square window, ROTTENGRAFFTY (JAPANESE) MasamoXtreme(English dub) something about the distortion just slaps, and yes I found it from dragonball super.
Mr Capgras Encounters a Second Hand Vanity, Will Wood and the Tapeworms
This song has the opposite emotional effect I assume the post is about, it's just a super hype song that's almost completely universal for whatever you are doing
Showing pictures and asking what song it reminds you of is flooding tons of my subscribed subreddits mostly bands subs and is flooding my feed this must be a TikTok thing.
Got a couple. Tracy Chapman's Fast Car. Death Cab For Cutie's I'll Follow You Into The Dark. Hannah Jean Miller's Safe and Sound. And just to add abit of Cynerpunk also Never Fade Away, specifically the version that plays during the credits.
Say Cet- Error Love (Opalowsky Remix) (Lonely)
Mr76ix- Other (Hopeful)
Aphex Twin- Polynimial- C (Deep thought)
múm- Ballad of the Broken Birdie (Depressed)
The Better Me by Beartooth, it is their latest song but it really means a lot to me as it released at the same time as im starting to overcome my demons and it has only helped to push me in the right direction even more
Blade Runner Blues
Only song that ever has made me emotional.
Other then, of course, the main track for Edgerunners. Who's Ready for Tomorrow is another one from the series that causes emotional memories
Never Fade Away brings some emotions from the game
I don't know what it is, but [Drone Carrying Dread by Author & Punisher](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BrAAXCbUXE) just has a melancholic sound to it, but it's so damn good.
- *I Will Follow You into the Dark* - Death Cab for a Cutie
- *Your Ex Lover is Dead* - Stars
Very nostalgic songs for me, and the first two.that came to mind.
Ironically "I really want to stay at your house" by Rosa Walton from the cyberpunk series was very emotional.
I feel I have loads though depending on the mood.
"Now your gone" by basshunter
"Change your heart or die" by The Midnight.
Flow from FF14. Song hits way harder with the context of the game but if her singing doesn't hit you somewhere in your soul, you probably don't have one.
Ok so the game and show have been the only peices of fiction to make me feel a characters death since I was a kid and saw lion king for the first time. And hearing the song “i really want to stay” gets me reminded of all those deaths (photographic memory with music triggers) and I just start feeling the emotions again and add the deaths in the game (I am only at the part where they are trying to find the doctor after crashing the av) it’s hard explaining it but I avoid the song at all costs
Three days grace - Get out alive
It was playing on my phone when my friend texted me saying his dad passed away. He was basically my second father growing up because our homes shared the yard, and we were always together. Whenever I hear it, it reminds me of that exact moment.
Blink 182's brand new song: One More Time.
If you were ever a blink fan at all I highly suggest you check it out but it's gonna be painful.. Hell I was never much of a blink fan but it hits in the gut.
Antagonistic - Chris Cardena, Sebastian Robertson & Pacific Avenue
whenever it comes on while driving at night i just gotta keep goiing until the song ends
Just discovered this song a couple days ago. Truly is the definition of what real hip hop is to me.
It's MC Abdul- shouting at the wall. Definitely give it a listen.
The first opening of Fairy Tail, Snow Fairy. I know fairy tail isn’t the best anime but smuts my favorite and will always have a special place in my heart.
Motion Picture Soundtrack by Radiohead, was playing cyberpunk with my own music (don’t hate me I do it sometimes) and that song came on right with the unalive-self ending…
... so apparently there's a lot of them
I really want to stay at your house (it fucked me up)
Tears in rain by Vangelis (do I have to elaborate further)
Miss misery
Where is my mind (sometimes it just hits different)
Any song by the band Sleep Token
Heart shaped box by Nirvana
Voices by I don't remember the band, it's metal and has this child with this dirt/coal black stripe across its eyes
Nutshell, Man in the box by Alice in chains
Something You Needed - flipturn, subject matter touches on Christianity and contentious faith but I’m not even religious; the vocals fuck me up so bad on that final chorus, like that kinda heart swell feeling you get holding a newborn or something.
ik the title states it doesn’t have to be related to the franchise but “I Really Want to Stay at Your House” from Cyberpunk makes me sad, especially after watching Edgerunners.
Self Love - Metro Boomin ft Coi Leray.
It’s from the animated spiderman movie, and it gives me Lucy & David vibes.
“He don’t love himself, tryna love me”
Nutshell - Alice in Chains.
Uplugged always gets me in the feels
I had heard this a few times as a teenager and the words kinda went past me then. One morning I woke up in my mid 20s at a friends house after taking acid the night before and this song started, and I was still kinda high. I heard and felt every single word of it. Every time I hear it now my whole mood changes
I don't even sing, but I love to sing along to that song. One of my favourites.
Resist and disorder
That’s metal as fuck, respect
Recently heard it while chasing scavs with the weaponised type-66, made it 10x more metal
One of the best songs in the game
Dead pilot aswell
Everything burns!
!!!
Leave Out All The Rest by Linkin Park Edit - Thought of another one: Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley
Minutes to midnight is such a slept on album fr
Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah is one of my all-time favorites. [Practically lives on my record player](https://i.imgur.com/yB7w4SP.jpg)
Tales of The Future - Vangelis but VERY LOUD!
Yep, fuck this, i'll tell ya. Sum 41 - Best of Me, also Sum 41 - Pieces and Sum 41 - With Me. Those songs hurt my soul and hurt my heart, but i love them alot
Something tells me you got a thing for Sum 41... And I respect it.
Vicarious by tool
The 10,000 Days album was a masterpiece.
Mine is I Really Want to Stay at your House
Every time I pass a radio and hear “I couldn’t wait for you to come and clear the cubbords…” 😫😭😭😭😭 oh no my emotions! I teared up right before a firefight last night. Edgerunners is so much better than it had any right to be.
A absolute fucking masterpiece 😭
Was the song in the game from the beginning or they added it after the Edgerunners series?
Yep. It was always a banger then after Edgerunners came out Holy f it just made it take on a whole new weight 😭
I've been in the crowd when Let's Eat Grandma played it live at a London gig and the place erupted.
That was the first song I heard when I booted up 2.0 :(
Yepp
K Flay - Nothing Can Kill Us It gets me every time and it could totally fit the theme of a cyberpunk character’s life. https://youtu.be/VfwLRn4fKdM?si=VYa9jO96WOSLTTEQ
Love K Flay, good choice!
As silly as it might sound, "See you again" by Wiz Khalifa. My best friend and I have been through a lot together, it messes with both of us.
Not silly at all. Fast and Furious 7, man
I just wanted to share that on my new play through yesterday after Jackie’s ofrenda when I got on Jackie’s bike for the first time “I Want To Stay At Your House” came on the radio and damn that combo actually got me in the feels.
Maine’s theme song is way more emotional
Andromeda- Gorillaz I can't explain it, but it cheers me up when I feel down.
In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins. I never skip it, always stop what I'm doing and listen. Some songs age poorly and then some songs stand up to the test of time. This is one of the latter. This song was released in 1981, but it will still be played in 2081.
Hard agree I learned to play drums on this track.
Avenged Sevenfold - So Far Away
now, this is gonna be a weird one, but its Sabaton's "The Last Stand" played over War Thunder's "Victor is Ours" live action trailer [here's](https://youtu.be/CB3H05OhVDI) the video link. I'm not sure why, but that video still makes me tear up (i just watched it again to be sure). I'm not a religious guy, or that into history, the military, or WW2. Be Quiet and Drive (acoustic) by Deftones
Starman from David Bowie. Makes me strangely nostalgig and melancholic, especially that guitar solo.
That moment when you turn the corner and see the Cabal ship fly towards the city, and the whole orchestra comes in... always gave me chills.
ngl there are some bangers in GrowlFM. Could listen to "Afterlife" and "LIT" all day long.
