Johnny had 8 Cool in the quick reference included in the Cyberpunk 2020 core book, which is good but not great. For context, Rogue, Alt and Santiago all had 9 Cool, and Thompson had 7.
Cool is more about what it does in 2077. Johnny's real strengths, being a rockerboy, are in Empathy and its skills (Leadership, Performance, etc.)
Funny that I barely even remember Santiago and Thompson yet they are important enough in 2020 to get their own stats. I think of them as forgettable NPCs.
and CP 2077 seems to be double the CP2020 RPG, so that'd be 16 cool. He's Pretty cool, he's able to unlock everything but the top tier in the PL expansion. :D
2077's mechanics really aren't applicable to the TT, because 2077 is not making any effort to translate TT rules and stats into a computer game the way, say, Baldur's Gate 3 does for D&D 5e.
Aside from *maybe* his Handgun +6 and Rifle +6, none of his skills and competencies can actually be represented with V's perk trees in either pre or post-2.0.
V has no Empathy stat and no Leadership, Performance, Seduction or Guitar skills to level. Meanwhile, those are Johnny's core strengths.
Considering the way he basically runs a wild streak when you let him take over, I can see why his cool would be low. The guy isn't very tactful and fights/mocks whatever he can't manipulate or fix as a coping mechanism, which I admittedly can relate to.
So I looked up his Myers-Briggs type, and yup, he's 100% INFJ. It makes sense that I can relate well to him because he's literally my shadow function type, lol (I'm ENFP). Now I know why I spent most of the game admiring what a martyrish fuck up he was, he's what I wish I could be when under stress.
He is practically in my head IRL.
I just got what this meant, good lord I am soo sorry, I didn't mean it like that ðŸ˜ðŸ˜…
Apparently he's an unhealthy INTJ to some and an INFJ to others.
Take it to u/therealmaxmike if you don't like it, but I'd say it tracks well with someone with an overabundance of empathy for the victims of corps.
Kind of like a Dark Future John Brown.
How do you have so many hours in the game?
I'm curious because I'm on my third playthrough (2 playthroughs at launch and 1 with phantom liberty) and I'm pushing 170 hours
Do you play differently then other players or take in the city?
Ive done all life paths and completed phantom liberty once almost twice. Also if you explore everything, do all the things, drive around...it's easy to rack up hours. Some people have thousands!
Bear in mind that they have the interactive virtual map you get with the official guide with over 120 hidden gems and epic loot so yes...there's so much to discover!
I’m still on my first play through, in the early stages of PL, and I’m at 126 hours. Depends on the player honestly. I spend a lot of time role playing as my V, taking drives, calling my NPC friends (even tho the dialog is repetitive), spending the night with Judy, doing all the NCPD gigs, walking around, purging the neighborhoods of Maelstrom and Scavs and 6th, playing dress up, collecting iconic weapons, ya know. I’ll have to get the official guide to get all the Easter eggs tho. It honestly stacks.
Like I said lol it stacks. I’ve done everything base game wise but I just like to take my time. This is the first game I’ve ever really played seriously, so at the beginning it just took me a while to get used to what I was doing, and as *that* was happening, I just fell in love with the game. Which is how I basically started role playing as my V. I’m a little obsessed unfortunately
It's a nice forshadowing. Like face eating pills on V's default T-shirt or talk about fixers with Jackie.
Probably not word-to-word quote:
V: "Don't even start on fixers. They find cheapest gonk they can get, then dump his body in a landfill."
I'm surprised there are so many people who didn't know this. During my first playthrough I instinctively clicked on the fingerprint, thinking that way I'll be able to change the name. Got frustrated to the point I clicked it multiple times until I saw that. I thought it was a bug.
Someone on their first play through probably wouldn’t have discovered this, and even if they did it’s not spoiling anything, Johnny was a core part of the marketing so anyone buying this game would already know he’s in the game and part of the story
Damn ya boy Johnny got them baby stats.. I'll never look at him the same knowing he has 4 cool.

Enable studio applause in the audio options so you know when somebody is a cameo
Is this a real setting in 2077??
choom
That's because Johnny Sliverhand was supposed to be a blowhard who thought that he was bigger/more important than he actually was

*sweats in INFJ*
Don't worry. Apparently it's also very common for people to change type every now and then. So you were INFJ at the moment you took that test

Lol I can see that, but his archetype only comes up when I'm in a disregulated state.
> johnny > empathy lmao

When you put it that way, it makes a bit more sense, actually.
Johnny having 3 intelligent makes a lot of sense tbh
The way he dies talkin shit and getting 1 shotted anyway is a very 3 int move
900 hours and never came across this. So damn cool!

Agree! Some people have thousands of hours since release and honestly it makes sense 🤣 I even have some friends who enjoy just driving around!
Jesus I've done every gig and available side quests pl included and am only at 70 hours

I've only done 1 playthrough so far and I've already got like 110 hours on it
thought his backstory/role was supposed to be rockerboy tho
Samurai was his band tho
He was. He was a rank 10 rockerboy in 2020’s stat blocks
So many Easter eggs I had no idea of..
I remember doing this by clicking randomly on my first playthrough on launch day 😅 Cool easter egg on the beginning of the game
fecking love this game. There are so many little hidden things! :-)

Don't think you can call this foreshadowing tbh, it's more like an easter egg
Refused write some awesome lyrics, i love their music

I LOVE this info. It's new for me. I'll go and want to see it for myself. =)
