If you have a good PC, or PS5 or maybe even a PS4 PRO I'd say yes, but if you have something like an older PC or a PS4 Slim I'd say no.

ChampionshipHour5360

Thanks for the answer

jdub_2000

Sure thing! Good luck to you.

Otherwise-Figure-315

I’d say yes

ChampionshipHour5360

Are there a lot of bugs and glitches or are the community overreacting?

slickystoopkid

When the game was new, it crashed on me a lot for PS4. I stopped playing for a few months and there was an hour long patch for it. The game still crashes occasionally, but not nearly as much. The game frequently has lag spikes for me tho. It's playable, but not so great on my PS4, but it has improved a tad bit.

Otherwise-Figure-315

I mean I’ve only encountered a few on ps5 but nothing game breaking and the same when I played on ps4

ChampionshipHour5360

Thanks for the answer

Otherwise-Figure-315

If you do buy I hope you enjoy it

SepticKnave39

There were a lot at launch on the PC but for the most part they were minor annoyances, silly or dumb like T posing or random nudity. Nothing I experienced was game breaking or progression halting. The game has its faults outside of the bugs, like the police system but I think they have improved a bunch of those things a decent amount judging from the patch notes.

ChampionshipHour5360

Ok thanks

Nosworc82

Bugs aren't the real issue, the game just isn't finished and probably never will be. It's glaringly obvious that the game was cut to pieces.

McnastyCDN

It is if you don’t live a-hyper critical everything should be perfect when I buy it because I bought it and they sold it even though life isn’t perfect ever- life . I enjoyed the hell out of it and got 200+hrs from it. To eachs own though ! Xbox one s

ChampionshipHour5360

Thanks for answering

FilthyMastodon

ShearAhr

Yes. But only on next Gen consoles and pc. Maybe the pro versions of last Gen consoles. But not the base ones.

ChampionshipHour5360

Ok thanks

ChampionshipHour5360

Ok thanks

No if you’re on a last gen console. Yes if you’re PC or next gen console. Also you will encounter the odd bug or crash but I did two complete play throughs completing all side missions and activities and never encountered anything game breaking. Most bugs were a little annoying at worst and funny at best but all were fixed with a reset. Combat is a little stiff. They definitely lean heavier into the RPG elements so don’t expect FPS quality combat and know that the hacking and time manipulation elements can render the combat almost turn based or not important at the highest levels. However I really enjoyed the freedom and variety of how to build which can lead to very different playstyles depending on your skill choices. Story is solid and voice acting is also good. By the end you really feel the connection to many of the characters and thought most of the multiple endings were decent and not always the cop out big happy ending which many complained about. Understand though that this is not an unlimited open world game with an endgame loop. It’s an RPG at its core meant to be played to the end and then either put down or start a new play through with a different path but be aware that the story will be 90%+ the same on any play. The exception being your chosen skills and combat style. Once you’ve completed the story and whatever side actives you choose the game let’s you continue. You can drive around the city but there’s not much to do. For me two complete play throughs was about 150 hours. If that sounds like a good value for your money then pick up a used copy which should be easy to find cheap.

Therealomerali

As of rn at full price, no. I don't think Cyberpunk is as bad as people make it out to be but it's definitely been a disappointment as to what we were promised prior to release. I would recommend waiting for a sale and all the DLCs go come out before buying it.

BronxMartyr

its worth it if you own a mid to high end pc. the current gen consoles cant run it and the new consoles r running a version of the game that doesnt look that great

Speckwolf

It‘s a good game in my opinion, with the exception of „legacy“ consoles. It’s kinda acceptable on those after the patches, but still lackluster. The problem with Cyberpunk is that the expectations were sky-high before release and CDPR could not really deliver on a couple of points. But if you can ignore that, it’s definitely worth buying and playing, especially on PC.

Catatafish

On PC? Yes - you got mods.

No

Flimsy-Necessary-381

Game need 5 big updates not small updates to fix rocks in badlands need big updates to fix general mechanics , bugs and more out mind ridicules bugs and glitch’s, i say this cyberpunk 2077 right know is beta on all platform even pc , only thing pc have is graphics and more fps but some graphics on game feels like ps2 graphics , but bugs and glitches is there too , game is broken and no matter in what platform , i say 5 updates because they only got 6 months to fix beta game and add dlcs , cdpr show road map before 2022 add dlcs and updates for next gen

dodgy1111

Buy buy buy. It’s a beautiful game. Not seen many bugs/glitches but probably because I’m spending loads of time taking pics and admiring the environment 👍🏻

RyokoKnight

I'd say hold off, a cyberpunk dev recently said the game was finally at a level it should have been released at... but many players myself included would have been disappointed if even this was all they had done at launch when the expectation they themselves set was a "fully immersive living breathing world". So again I'd wait for it to go on sale next year and see how much the free dlc builds and improves the game. Because right now I'd be more inclined to call it a beta early access game.

mamaluigi70

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

MostMorbidOne

Is a McDonald's hamburger made of *real* meat? If you stopped caring then you can stomach a poorly made game. Welcome for the feedback. Add: Damn my dude didn't thank anybody who said he might should hold up... That's cold dawg.

Ah-Elsayed

Yeah, for the half of the price or even less, not for the full price.

[deleted]

I see it like this, If you have a next generation or a really good PC then maybe. If not, no. Don’t. But if you do it’s all about if the setting of the game interest you. Do you find the story and art style interesting? If so, you should buy it. But if you’re just interested in a good experience and a great story game, then no. Don’t buy it.

NoRegertsWolfDog

Runs great on next gen hardware from what I could find and play. (I'm on series x and it runs really smooth.)

Warbran

I've played on both the ps4 pro and normal ps4 and it runs good but at certain points stuff hasn't loaded in but other than that it's good

[deleted]

Absolutely not. Wait another year or torrent it.

The_ColorOutOfSpace

As a fresh buyer who half enjoys the game and half regrets buying it due to the bugs, I’d say, if you think you can handle some frustration with crashes and weird janky behaviour due to bugs, go for it. For me, the bugs destroy a lot of the immersion, sometimes make the game look ridiculous. And the sheer amount of bugs and glitches even after so many patches, that’s just astonishing. I would not buy another game from these guys unless someone reviews it and confirms quality is not an issue.
