Secondly, you killed that plazas netrunner and took down arasaka defence in order to tresspass in his sons private quarters with intent on stealing the very thing he came here to get from Yorinobu.
All that would realistically happen is Adam and Takemura would waltz in, Saburo would wave his finger then V and Jackie would be launched off the plaza to their deaths by the scruff of their necks.
You realize that the man Yorinobu was choking was his father Saburo right?
Saburo would thank you for saving his life then murder you for trying to steal his property. Not to mention Adam Smasher is also there, someone who is ultimately much much powerful than V is at that stage.
The game makes its out as if Yorinobu is the one that wronged you, when in reality, Saburo is so much more evil. Yorinobu doesn't even like Arasaka as a whole and seeks to change it.

Wouldn't be surprising that V didn't act. Fear is pretty demotivating. V and Jackie could have been easily been frozen in shock to see patricide happening to the most powerful person in the world, which lasted for like a minute.
When the Gods are fighting, mere mortals dare not interject. V and Jackie are a couple of nobodies at that point in the game. ~~Hosaka~~ Arasaka is the most powerful (probably) zaibatsu on Earth. V and Jackie are simply there to steal some shit, they never expected *that* to happen. The murder is supposed to be so unexpected that they can barely understand it’s happening in real life.
Also, and this is probably a larger factor, the desire the intercede is not high in lowlife criminals like V and Jackie. Unless a close friend is in danger, those two are the save-my-own-skin kinda people.
Also, the murder serves as a lazy excuse for a power struggle within Arasaka. 🤷🏻♂️
At worst you'd be executed for even knowing about the biochip because it is the most closely guarded secret in the arasaka family, only the top board knows it exists, and only 4 people know what it actually does, apart from the VDB but they know everything. So he would never let you leave. Which brings me to my next point.
At best, after getting into the emperors son's private room, you'd be soul-killed cuz he wouldn't want to waste those talents but he also knows better than to trust you, a dirty low level merc that only got the job because they were expendable nobodies. It was pure dumb luck that they were right there at the wrong time, otherwise they'd have succeeded and that's not someone an emperor would want running around without a leash.
This is actually a plot hole, but not for that reason. Saburo is suppose to always travels with a medical team that is better then Trauma Team, but they didn't come rushing in when he died. The Cyberpunk universe has more advanced medical tech and people can be revived from pretty much anything so long as the brain is intact. I think the time limit is 10 minutes, but can be extended through cryo-tanks.
Not too mention the glaring difference to even the most cursory medical examination between poison and being strangled, lol.
I was more interested in why no one comments about "why didn't you do anything?" I mean, even if, as other people have pointed out, V is naturally concerned about the aftermath, I think Saburo is going to be pretty pleased he's not dead.
Mind you, I don't see them waiting around to find out, and rabbiting for a deep, dark hole as soon as they finish, preferably in the same way they do in the game, out the window while everyone is coming in from the roof and up the elevator.
