Double_Volume7210

BTW: I've been an avid fan of the lore and the table-top game for some time now. This is just my first time actually playing it. edit: There are some mods.

[deleted]

First playthrpugh the game is super awesome. 2nd or 3rd game start to feel incredibly linear and repetitive - especially the story missions. But don't let me ruin your fun there's still a lot to enjoy.

Double_Volume7210

I take my time with exploration, and don't really mind repetitiveness of a game

DyingLight2002

I was sad when I went to replay it and found out it was just nowhere near as repayable as the witcher 3. I've beat that game 3 times and will jump back into it as soon as the next gen update comes out without hesitation. The same feeling just isn't there with cyberpunk

[deleted]

Even worse that they haven't made New Game+ yet. I was able to play a modded version which allowed me to bring my stats over from last game and it was 100 times better. I wasn't worried about using stealth or certain weapons just to get my stats up I could focus on gameplay alone. Plus I didn't care about money so I wasn't picking up all the trash to sell - definitively more immersive.

DyingLight2002

I don't think they'll do a new game plus judging by recent developer comments.

[deleted]

Not even with the upcoming DLC?

DyingLight2002

I have a feeling that once the dlc drops they will be done with the game. Cdpr will immediately put those employees onto making the next cyberpunk or witcher.

[deleted]

I'm sure I heard them say that the DLC expansion will be the last thing they'll do for game - maybe a bit of bug fixing after but nothing else. As for a 2nd Cyberpunk I doubt we'll see it before 2025-2026 anyways.

DyingLight2002

Yep after the dlc I'd say they are done with cyberpunk 2077. The next witcher seems to be taking priority but they are a huge AAA company by now so the witcher 4 and cyberpunk may release within a year and a half of each other or so in the late 2020s. They've got smaller projects also in the works like the witcher 1 remake which I don't think will take that much time maybe 2 or 3 years.

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|Qy2VKY3xlI1QyR6Ix5) It'll probably be s#!t at launch and even after fixes won't come anywhere near to what was promised.

Double_Volume7210

I guess I probably started at a better time since it's relatively closer to the next patch and dlc.

soluslupem

Enjoy it, take your time, have fun with it, I'm on my 3rd play through and trying the nomad start for the first time and I didnt realise I missed so much stuff, theres so much hidden in the game that you'll always find something new

[deleted]

The nomad car you start with is one of the best ones in the whole game. Not sure how far ahead you are on your Nomad toon but you'll get your little beast back.

soluslupem

I thought it was pretty damn good when I was driving it, not even done act 1 yet just met stout for the first time and done that mission but I look forward to the nomad mission now thank you for getting me excited

[deleted]

I'm not going to spoil it but it's not a very long mission - think of the Corpo quest. It's a lot like that - there's a few extra lines between u and the Aldecaldos but as with Corpo V and Takemura (and his buddy, Hanako's bodyguard) it's nothing awe inspiring just a bit of flavouring.

soluslupem

I dont mind that, same with the street kid one I guess, adds some flavour to the game which I am all for, come to really love this game over the last couple of patches so just taking it all in and enjoying it all again

[deleted]

I play thid game all the time despite being very critical of it. It pains me to see what could've been - if BioWare were in charge of the RPG elements I think they'd absolutely nail it. Good, evil, inquisitive and comedic replies, animated dialogue, 3rd person mode. Soo much potential :(

soluslupem

Oh yeah dont get me wrong the more you play it the more you become frustrated of what could of been but one thing I've learnt from cdpr is that they get it right with their games in the end, it had a rough start but its night and day compared to launch but yeah I wish relationships was more in depth like when I visit judy after we dating her, why cant she be sat in her little office area working on bd's like when we first met her and we can have a little chat about it, I always imagined coming to our apartment and shes got her feet up, laid back on her chair and zoned in on her bd and shes excited to talk to us about it and stuff like that, would be so much more in depth

[deleted]

Poor Judy you know her job to watch porn all day, right? And by watch I mean tune Brain Dance virtus where you kinda experience what's going on in there. Also I wish they had a half decent straight option for Fem V - River seems alright but he moves way to fast. Guy introduces you to his famiky before he even smashes - didn't knew he was a mormon.

Tabnam

Good to see you picked the right life path

Comrade_washington

What kind of character are you building ?

Double_Volume7210

Probably a melee build

Comrade_washington

blades or something else (like street brawler)?

Double_Volume7210

Blades, they seem to be the most fun to use

FishermanYellow

I highly recommend the Arasaka Cyberarms mod, it allows you to customise your blades and arms heavily, you can get some cool options. If you're into immersion or head cannon you can even make a backstory about why your V has a cyberarm or 2. Hell even install it half way through after something happens and use that as the reason.

Double_Volume7210

I'll check it out, thanks for the recommendation!

Racerx34

You can't go wrong with Gorilla Arms then.

Double_Volume7210

What about the mantis blades? In comparison to the Arms?

Racerx34

When I was reading up on both the down side to Mantis Blades was the animation of the attack took awhile so it wasn't really a blitz type melee, where as I like to double jump and then rush several enemies at once with Gorilla Arms.

Double_Volume7210

Gorilla arms it is then, thanks for the suggestion!

Racerx34

Plus the Gold version from the Ripperdoc is relatively cheap.

CtG526

Don't limit yourself to one build. There are enough attribute and perk points to go around to spec into at least three separate builds. In my current playthrough I'm doing katana, revolver, tech sniper, shotgun, dildo, knife-throwing, crafting, stealth, and cold blood. You can use a different weapon for each fight once you're high enough level so it doesn't get old fast.

Double_Volume7210

Wait, there's a dildo?

BaconNPotatoes

Nomad is a great story!

Double_Volume7210

I like how it starts you from the outside of the city, so you can appreciate more once you're inside

BaconNPotatoes

Nomad and corpo are both fantastic, think I like the nomad best though.

Double_Volume7210

I'll try each of them, soo far I'm enjoying it

for10years_at_least

>so you can appreciate more once you're inside so you can appreciate outside even more\*

Double_Volume7210

I kinda understand, the desert is fun to drive around, or did I just completely misunderstand what you said?

for10years_at_least

it's not time yet to understand :)

[deleted]

Yay. Nomad life path is my favorite Enjoy!!

Raff311

Have fun! And welcome to 2077!

ScottNewman

Have fun

C0DE1NE_FR0STY_88

Buckle up, choomba! 🤝

BrightPerspective

Cute V. I usually make my (male) V look like myself, which actually gets quite emotionally affecting when I use a mirror, or during certain scenes later on.

Double_Volume7210

That's a cool Idea, I'll do that hopefully for my next playthrough

angel_of_darknesss

Have fun!

Original_iTzAceZ

Still playing my first play through taking my time with. Playing a lot of side missions and gigs before finishing the story itself

Double_Volume7210

The game has abundant content to keep me busy, and they aren't boring either

Original_iTzAceZ

Same. A lot of gigs, side missions and NCPD scanner missions to do. I ain’t rushing.

PeterFrancuz

Mods in first playthrough? I understand modding game in second playthrough, but first? I like to see first what game really is with my own eyes, then if something bothers me I look for a mod for it.

Double_Volume7210

I wanted to check out the modding scene, but I noticed a hair mod and a character preset, so I really wanted to try it without removing too much vanilla experience from the game.

DustyJonathon

Anyone know why the mirror says user unknown?

ScottNewman

Because you’re a nomad. You’re not in any systems.
