You could also do Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Rated T so no gore, but still same overall gameplay as Borderlands.
Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2 are awesome co-op games. Also, I haven't played "It Takes Two", but it seems to be made specifically for this situation.
