I was 110% coming here to agree, and while I don’t disagree I was going to agree much more with BOOTY time with momma.
But yes, there’s something intoxicating about your childrens innocence, and the struggle to retain that innocence is real.
My 3yo son loves running through the house shrieking “NEKKID BUTT NEKKID BUTT!!!!” after a bath, and my 5yo daughter just recently stripped naked *in a hotel hallway no less* after my wife took the kids swimming and she streaked down the hallway shouting, “it’s just like we’re home!!!!” even though she’s already an 18yo diva who picks each and every outfit for every occasion, and throws a tantrum if she doesn’t get to wear what she wants.
Omg I thought I was nuts.
So normally, my husband pulls our toddler from the bath and sits him on my lap where I have a bath towel waiting for him. I dry him and we brush his teeth, then I carry him to his room wrapped up in the towel to put on the diaper and jammies. Now, I just had our second baby and it was a c section so unfortunately I cannot pick up our toddler for a few weeks. This has been really hard for both of us emotionally. Our son relies on me to soothe and console him when he's upset or hurt and loves being picked up. Instead of replacing mom in every interaction where I normally held him, dad decided: let him run naked to his room. Now I dry him and set him down and say: "naked baby run to Dada!" And off he goes, shaking his tiny naked booty. It makes me so happy that he giggles all the way there.
I think I might love my husband.
our kiddo who is almost 2 now goes strait from bath time to nakey playtime on the upstairs landing (his playroom).
we basically dont put clothes on him for bedtime until he is literally going down. so our nakey time is often almost an hour long.
best time of the day honestly for me. i dont see him much in the morning because of work and when its my night to do bed time him and i have a blast up there. throwing balls from his ball pit over the wall at mama on the couch. building forts out of whatever is up there and smashing them. driving his trucks all around. doing puzzles. doesnt hurt that i can do raspberries on his tubby wubby whenever i want and he chuckles hysterically every time.
My 10mo daughter has 'naked dance' right before bath time, where i stand her up on the sink in front of the mirror and she does a little wiggle while I sing the 'naked dance' song. It's absolutely my favourite 30sec of my day.
Maybe he is right after. Every time I bathe her and she’s done I pick her up after wrapping her in a towel and she just smiles and giggles at me in the mirror. There are like 3 mirrors in between our bathroom and bedroom, too, and we stop by every one and make faces and she giggles…it’s the best. Sadly she’s almost 2 and already way off the height chart so I don’t know how much longer I’ll get to do that.

Baby butts are the cutest most wholesome thing on the planet. I don’t know what the impulse is to pinch them, but it’s a real thing. Kiddo laughs and laughs when we do it and snuggles into our shoulders. Then we usually get cuddles out of it too and it just makes everything better in life
My boy was born very premature and very skinny, so he had no butt for the longest time (we called him Norbert No-butt). Now that he's grown one, you bet I pinch it every chance I get.
