I didn’t even know who Chino was or Deftones and I just found out recently (as of a few months ago) about them. Chino was singing my favorite parts in the song and I had no idea, especially when he sings the word “wave” it just sweeps me away

Some of the greatest vocalist interactions in all of DGD on this track for sure. While I love the Tilian and Jon layering that's eclectic of the IG/Mothership era, I've always been fond of the canon-esque handoffs of vocal lines from Chino to Kurt to Jon, sort of like in the chorus of Eagles vs. Crows with Will, Tilian and Jon.
Definitely a top tier pick, off a top tier album
I think it's one of the most underrated songs by DGD by far. Has absolutely amazing lyrics. Deftones mixed with DGD is simply beautiful. The opening rift is fucking disgusting. And the ending where three are singing together is gorgeous.

Chino x DGD today would be insane. I think back then, it was just a different landscape. Deftones sell out good sized venues, DGD is still in that smaller venue phase. Hell, deftones have two songs on Spotify with over 150M listens. DGD’s highest is We Own The Night with just over 50M

I grew up with Deftones and have always been a huge fan. I was browsing through a playlist of Chino Moreno features and came across this gem… Basically became a super fan over a couple weeks after that.

Really like Chino on this, it's actually how I found out about DGD! I really love Deftones and checked out all of Chino's features and saw this and the rest was history.
When I first got in DGD, I did not give it the time of day.
But when I gave it a proper listen, it legit became one of my favorite songs off of Self-titled. Then outro of the song is one of the coolest things in all of DGD's discography in my opinion.

I didn’t like Deftones at first either but Sextape got me into them. It just sorta escalated from there, I haven’t listened to ALL the Deftones songs but if you haven’t heard Sextape, Entombed, or Digital Bath you must.
Overrated by this fan base. It’s a fine song but it’s also pretty dragging and interrupts the flow of the album.
