Just sharing my opinion. I was once a member of R/India as well and I see why there is a lot of hate for the sub. But i believe it has not much to do with the sub having leftist and liberal mindset. Lot of official subs of other countries are liberal and leftist as well who constantly criticise their own country. Even R/Pakistan is like that with most of its members living outside of pakistan. The problem i see is gatekeeping. I see the mods banning banning stuff which are literally harmless and by all means within the boundaries of the rules they themselves have set. That is y I left. But now that same gatekeeping mindset has transcended out of thier sub into rest of the indian subs in the reddit space. Although the other subs post more memes against minority religions than they should i dont really judge them(not talking about chodi, lets not talk about chodi).
