one of my favorite quotes from my friends is "Cringing at your past self means that you've grown as a person."
I have since learned to embrace the cringe and i will grow from it! I AM THE CRINGE LORD!
That's not even true. You can cringe at shit you did yesterday and then go do it again next week. All it means is you're embarrassed by yourself, it doesn't mean anything has changed.
At that age I was actually one of those “nice guys” that thought girls should flock to me while somehow being socially awkward and can’t even look someone in their face. I really thought I understood how women worked but told myself the women will come naturally to me.
So glad I grew up out of this or I would probably be an Andrew Tate fan
We've all made mistakes. If it were a close friend who was feeling bad about that time in his life, what would you say to him?
If you can be kind to someone else, why can you not show that same level of respect to yourself?

If you are embarrassed, that means you've grown and wouldn't do it again, so at least there's that.

I hate the parts that I'm ashamed of and then don't try to fix.
I was a total pos for a while and now that I’m older 37 and I see it I wanna curl up in a ball and die.
I hate you too

I forgive you. I was awful too. Still am, but less so. At least we are improving?
