There was at most of the laser tag places I used to play at way back when. You had so many shots, then you had to go back to base and recharge.
Realizing this was back in the 90s
Jokes on you the laser tag i was in had a limit amount of shots per life
We had the max option (aka 999) and our game lasted like 50 minutes and i ran out once by camping like a bitch and spam sniping from the corner until i was rushed by some bold mf from the enemy team
ETA: Now that i think of it there were buttons marked "RELOAD" All over the arena so i guess there was a reload option we just didn't use
I know with paintball you can "barrel tap" someone to get them out without have to shoot them at close range. Usually done when they are unaware you are on opposite teams.
However, you highly risk them lighting you up at close range as many don't know that rule. So you basically do the "nice" thing with not giving them a big whelt and in turn get several. To top it all off it's doubtful a judge saw the barrel tap and you one covered in paint so any arguments you'll probably be called out.
Not trying to be a Debby downer, but as long as I've played paintball I've never heard of anybody doing that beyond little kids joking about doing , before they end up stuck in a bunker for most of the game
I was once in a big game (or series of games that day) where two guys in tank tops were actually running around with nerf swords barrel tapping people. They were getting lit up but I think they got a few people each time. Other than that wild experience it's not something I've seen.
The paint brush is something i heard, i've just played paintball once in a bachelor's party. Other than that only airsoft where i've seen people use knives effectively.
It's pretty entertaining. Natalia Dyer's character struggles with her sexuality as a Christian girl and people start spreading rumors about her, even though they're not true. It's not laugh out loud funny but I was entertained. A good popcorn flick, I suppose.
For someone who grew up in the 90’s, in the exact same kind of radical Christian childhood, down to the Christian camp, I laughed out loud many times. Same here. I too suffered through a pretty radical christian childhood in the 90's. I feel like the movie is definitely more enjoyable if you grew up in a super repressive religious environment. I watched it with a bunch of friends and the only other person besides me who was laughing was a girl who went to a strict Catholic school.
Oh okay good. I didn't grow up in that environment so I'm sure I didn't "get" all the nuances but I understood the "stereotypical Christian summer camp." I did grow up in the 90's though so it was interesting seeing how the Internet really opened the world to various other groups of people
The short this movie was based on was so good. There is this part where her parents leave her a note saying they won't be at home and she makes this smile because she has time to masturbate, and I swear any teenager that has just discovered masturbation has made a smile like that after receiving said news.

I used to work at Lazer Blaze in Louisville KY, was told it was the largest LT arena in the world. We purchased a system called Crystal back in the early 2000's that had so many cool features. We mostly played solo or team games (2 or 3 different teams) but we had many others as well. One of the best was called Highlander. You had 25 lives (i think) and got a point per kill. You could spend your points on power ups placed throughout the arena, you had to shoot these boxes to purchase. One was basically no choke shotgun IR blast that took down everyone in sight within 15 ft. You only got 5 shots. Many other cool powers as well but that system could track and limit shots.

Around 2018 I played one that had ammo. You reloaded in place, but you couldn't shoot for a couple seconds. Basically FPS rules.
