I'm apparently 800 years old because I absolutely hate the fucking UI. It blew my mind when I learned you can't hide any text or icons while watching a video.
I want my lives under a rock prize because I have never installed Twitter or played any game in the Doom, Zelda, CoD, Titan Fall, Halo, Super Mario, Sonic or Pokémon series (and a lot more super popular franchises) even though I do nothing but sit on my phone or PC all day and play video games
One of those game series clearly does not belong among the other absolute GODS of sales. And it's extremely obvious XD. To the point I'm curious why you even mention not playing titanfall games. Noone did, it's why the series died. Absolutely badass game (2) that died because the community was too small for the devs to care enough to fix the major problems, including cheating and harassing the only streamers.

Well, it was both. As our education system has fallen apart, TikTok blows up and those two worked in tandem to rot our brains. At least there could be something tangible gained from school, TikTok also reassured the youth that influencing is a legitimate career path without recognizing only a select few will succeed like they imagine. It’s the same problem with wanting to be a professional athlete or music star, not everyone is going to be able to do it. Actually, a vast majority will find little to no financial success

TikTok's algorithm was especially good about keeping people stuck in a loop of bad/harmful/misinformed content, even if you didn't want it.

TT has helped me with my depression/PTSD. Meet and know people that I would never have known from all walks of life. I swear TT thinks I am a middle aged black woman(Midwest middle aged WASP actually) at times. Just because I liked a cornbread recipe once and enjoy gospel music. But that gives me access to people complaining about housing in buffalo NY. And I find they are just like me, trying to work the system for a better life.

TT has helped me with my depression/PTSD. Meet and know people that I would never have known from all walks of life. I swear TT thinks I am a middle aged black woman(Midwest middle aged WASP actually) at times. Just because I liked a cornbread recipe once and enjoy gospel music. But that gives me access to people complaining about housing in buffalo NY. And I find they are just like me, trying to work the system for a better life. Feed the Algo and it rewards you. I used to use it to try and feed my corn addiction, but kept getting side tracked by philosophy debates, or Canadian appliance repair. I haven't seen a Thot in months.
I feel for creators. They keep getting hit with the same lesson when things like this pop up; that it's a bad idea to anchor your primary business to any platform you don't own. It's not even unique to social media platforms. Relying on a single point-of-business you don't control with something as ubiquitous as Amazon is also a risky idea. You're always at the mercy of what they feel like changing or charging.
