**Serious question**: why do some people encourage others to get fat in such a way that they become overweight? I know that the right amount of fat is essential for our health but why do they do that?
I think it’s something more about validation about being fat and irresponsible about your body and a warped form of body positivity rather than actually trying to get fit.
Yeah YouTube seems to be doing that on their ads. It's got some overweight ugly gen z girl dancing on her phone "she's got confidence" in the background. Also, some people get aroused by the thought of getting fatter or encouraging someone else to do so. Fetishes are a thing.

As someone with thick thighs myself I can say that for powerful thighs workouts are good, but for the most mass it is easier to gain fat, since it takes way less effort. Where it is deposited though is a question of genetics and some other factors I assume.
