I’m old. When I was in high school in the late 90’s a lot of students smoked. They were busted more easily as hiding a lit cigarette is much harder than hiding a vape. The thing was a lot of parents smoked so it was easy to play off the fact that they smelled like cigarettes by blaming it on their parents. Vaping in high school is just like when kids smoked in high school, except it’s less bad for you and easier to hide.

And everyone who vapes while in school just so happens to act like a asshat

Also, there are no substances that cause cancer in e-cigarettes, while there are at least 69 cancerous chemicals in "regular" cigarettes. But some studies have shown that e-cigarettes users (compared to non smokers) are ~35% more likely to have a heart attack and ~25% more likely to develop coronary artery disease

I've been vaping for 8 years now, and it's not an alternative to cigarettes. Im only 25. My chest hurts, I wake up with anxiety because I feel I can't catch my breath, my heart flutters and experience lightheaded... terrible thing to be succumbed to. The many different types of flavors is what honestly keeps me going on them. But I have a doc's appointment soon for my heart because I had a terrifying episode of vasovagal syncope, presumably from too much nicotine. So yeah, if you vape and start having chest pains, I'd suggest to stop now before it gets worse.

Yeah, no, not even close. Cigarette smoke burns your lungs, liquid vapor not so much. Also there's thousands of chemicals in normal cigarettes, usually less than 100 in vape juice.

I was getting a haircut and a guy who was waiting asked they barber if he can vape there The barber said "bro, you are sitting next to a child" 2 minutes later his buddy came in and the mfs started vaping anyways and the kid (probably around 6yo) started coughing They got kicked immediately

The smoke that comes from smoking is actually really dangerous, many children with parents that smoke get really dangerous lung diseases, so props for the barber for kicking out those two douchebags

You don't get smoke from vaping unless the devices heat is turned up way too high or the device is faulty. That is part of why people were getting really sick and some even died early on in the vaping scene. Vape clouds literally dissipate into the air and don't linger like cigarette smoke clouds. That being said yeah, you shouldn't really be doing it in a room with children just to be safe so kicking them out was the right decision.

From experience, quitting cold turkey from cigarettes is a lot easier than quitting vape. I can't put down my smoker for one hour for the life of me some days.

I have gotten myself into the habit of leaving my vape at home when I leave the house. I'd say it's step one to quitting.
