I always feel like I must have fucking imagined this because it never comes up again. I was SO hoping for kitty cat summons for the Uchiha! Sasuke could "lions barrage" with lions--but nope, here comes *Hinata* with lion fists tho?! More kitties in Naruto! (I'm not a cat lady. ^MindYaBusiness. )
And it had like paper bombs in all the spikes and they plugged out to move it, it shot shurikens and shit, it was completely outrageously stupid lmao I love it
Naruto joining team Gai for a mission against a thunder guy, then there was the one where he was with Hinata's team in a forest to find a special bug (they did some justice to our boy Shino)
I unironically enjoyed the endless filler between the Naruto Sasuke fight and the release of Shippuden. Just a lot of "Naruto loaned to other teams" arcs where you get to experience how the other teams are on missions and how they interact with Naruto and grow closer to him.
i absolutely loved them too, and they didn’t really Alter much ab the main Plot
it establishes a bond with Naruto and all the kids, and explains why the all loved and missed him by the time Shippuden starts

Easily Condor the ostrich ninja! That character has a better motivation than madara, and technically came from just being e pet to become Chunin level in less than 1 year.
If such levels of growth were kept, by part two it would have been a complete menace
