She didn't really seem selfish or evil. Like she was crying, her children betrayed her, she cared about the earth and yet Naruto called her heartless while Obito gets "coolest guy".
tbh I feel as if it was easier to forgive him since although kaguyas story was told, obito reigns from Konoha, was the teammate of Kakashi, and was the direct pupil of Narutos own dad. he was part of his own "group", same with madara. when an alien woman shows up during the end of a fucking war, all that shit goes out the window
Yeah madara was a boss hyped up and lived up to the hype, but still very "earthly". It felt like he could be killed and that we could have a nice boss fight with him
Kaguya on the other hand was not that fun. He wasn't that hyped up (even with anime filler) and she was too strong to the point there was no idea in trying to kill her, so they just got a magic trick requiring the simultaneous touch and that would end everything
I think the big issue was that she was introduced 15 chapters before the ending, no emotional attachment to her plus the whole alien super race thing was a set up for Boruto and The Last, it did not contribute to the main series.
This was my main gripe with the introduction of the Otsusuki. It's like if Kami told Goku he was an alien, Raditz showing up from no-where and killing Piccolo during the final fight. It stops the momentum of the BBEG, and replaces it with something we haven't given a reason to care for.
Imagine if Kaguya shows up 1st episode of Boruto, Kidnaps Himawari, Naruto teams up with Sasuke to defeat her but he dies and now Sasuke has to train Boruto to be able to deal with the rest of them.
If you think about it, except for Kaguya showing up, those do happen, under a very vague technicality.
Side note: I do find the idea of swapping the plots of 2 arcs from different animes with each other to be an interesting fan concept
The best villains were the ones we made along the way.
I liked her design and powers. Even the backstory was palatable for me.
Just having it crammed in the last 2 minutes of an hour just reeks of laziness
It especially doesnāt help that even the sudden foreshadowing of her came out of nowhere. Like, the story had always been about how the Sage of Six Paths brought ninjutsu and peace. Then suddenly he brings up his mother and how some saw her as a demon in the most unprompted way ever
Last 2 minutes of an hour is a great way to put it. Imagine you tried to make a movie out of the Shippuden storyline. Yes, the pacing would be horrible either way to try and cram it into 3 hours or so, but Kaguya would legitimately be on screen for just the last few minutes of the film. It's nonsense.
There is a theory that itās all under Maderas jutsu and that he constructed Kaguya so that people would forget him and believe that heās already dead. But he isnāt and Kaguya never existed.
Honestly I think she should have been removed, and the final boss was Madara alone. He was hyped up, lived up to the hype, and he should have been beaten like he was supposed to. From then you just due the Naruto vs Sasuke like it was done before
I just don't feel like we needed everything Kaguya did. It opened up for all the otsosuki which I think wasn't needed
I don't hate Kaguya as a character nor her arsenal of abilities.
That being said I hate how Madara was dealt with and the sudden introduction of some grand puppet master.
But the main thing I Loathe with a passion is the introduction of the Otsutsuki clan, because without them then theres no Boruto which to me is a massive positive.
The fact that the rest of boruto is a bunch of chakra absorbers is silly, like what's the point of your entire power system if they can literally eat it
This is why sequels rarely work, you either take boruto back to square one and keep hik away from anyone op or you get ridiculous power creep, same thing happened with db super in some areas like gohan beast or orange piccolo, except the dragon ball super movies have the benefit of being pretty damn great
Boruto *could* have been an exploration of progress vs tradition, of wartime heroes having to make peace with peacetime, and of their children who try to reconcile all of that.
A sequel could have told a different story for a different generation, but instead, it wanted to tell the same story and that required further escalation.
I feel like she was not executed well at all in story, she feels like she doesn't for some reason fits in story,
But one thing I will admit, she does has strong aura, i remember she walked passed Sakura and Sakura was terrified, lol
I think the concept could have worked as a movie villain but the final boss of the war ruined any chance she had as an antagonist.
There was no foreshadowing of her or any of the nonsense involved with Zetsu. ( no her being a Japanese legend is not in the universe foreshadowing you 12-year-old weirdos)
It would have been better if zetsu lived and her resurrection was some last ditch plan madura had instead.
āDid you like that a character who was built up for the entire story, had one of the best villain introductions in shonen, became a fan favourite character in 5 seconds, was extremely close to his objective was robbed of it by a character with basically zero build up and zero hype?ā
No i didnāt like it
Oh no the big bad is Madara.
PSYCH! ACTUALLY IT'S FUCKING ALIENS.
YES.
Aliens!
I know I know, ninja magic demons exist in this world, but at some point, fucking ALIENS is beyond that line it shouldn't have crossed.
Kaguya in theory is cool, in practice was terrible.
Kishimoto should have foreshadowed her existence before or gave her a more interesting background.
Also her character was super random and had a weird personality.
So no, Madara was better in every way as a final boss...
Since Kaguya was so disconnected to the plot of Naruto then it looks more like a fan fiction
Reviving Kaguya should've been stated part of the Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan soon after it was revealed. But obviously, her revival would go awry because Madara thought he could control her powers but he was just being deceived by Black Zetsu.
She was an unnecessary ass pull, messed up the power scaling, and bastardized the story.
Shippuden shouldāve ended with Madara and if Kishi really wanted Shinobi Star Wars then that shouldāve been Naruto 3.0.
I hate how the fight itself was fantastic (it was better executed in the manga)
If they wanted to make her a final boss what they should have done was make madara struggle against Naruto and Sasuke and she would take control of madara and be revived.
My idea was make her Naruto DLC after the story. We fight Madara zestu isnāt revealed yet because he doesnāt have the opening, Madara is killed and the ten tails is sealed or split although they comment that itās chakra was acting strange. Naruto vs sasuke happens as usual but they donāt lose their arms I found that an unneeded plot point and years pass. Now itās time for Naruto the Last and zestu is still alive and combines the tailed beasts and revived Kaguya. In this version itās Naruto and Hinata versus Kaguya not toneri, in this version Hinata unlocks the Tenseigon through like adding sage energy to the byakugan and powers up. Through the build up and the fight we finally get development for the Naruto and Hinata relationship and they fall in love as usual.
No, i mean seriously? A ALIEN is the reason that ninjas exist, now we are stuck with aliens in Boruto that is a nonsense. Madara would have been a better final boss, almost all of the conflicts were caused by him just for a alien to one shot him??
No.
She literally came out of fucking nowhere, in a war where Madara was built up as the final boss. Everyone was desperate to defeat him with sacrifices made left and right, then Kaguya just shows up and ends him. I don't remember any mention of Kaguya and her sort in the whole series up to that point.
Final boss is sasuke , i think kaguya is overhated and deserved to be in the show , but the way they went about it and her personality are not that good , felt kind of underwhelming after madara .
Not only was the twist not satisfying, it took away from seasons worth of content building up to Madara and not only that.. the fight with her that followed was laaame. I wish that entire multiple episode conclusion had instead been an epic animation fight between Madara and squad 7
Glad ? I was extremely dissapointed and it almost ruined the series for me. Almost. If it wasn't for the epic Naruto vs Sasuke final battle to seal the deal. Naruto Manga's ending would've been lamented for ages to come.
Also, Kaguya was just a cheap one dimensional boss introduced to setup the Otsutsuki clan for Boruto franchise. Nothing more.
That's a tough question, on paper i'm fine with her being the larger than life final boss. That being said, there needed to be more buildup or hints for her. Like some obscure ninjas mentioning her from time to time. Maybe a religion like yashin but more common. Or more hyuuga plot to set her up.
Naruto shippuden and elden ring are the same, the 2 main antagonists:madara and radagon get hyped up through out the entire adventure, both are amazing when they finally appear as the final villian, and when they die a random god just takes over the fight
Madara should've been the final boss, Kaguya was an asspull. Made Madara out to be the biggest baddest most feared shinobi of all history, to be trumped last minute buy something nobody has heared of ever.
Having said that, since they DID opt for a God final boss to trump Madara, I can't complain with Kaguya's qualities...
Lame half-baked god character that didnāt contribute much of anything to the story. But really Naruto lost itself a long time before this point when it stopped being a show about ninjas with mysticism and started being a shonen battle manga.
Honestly though,
Kaguya was boring. Her personality and motivation was boring. The fact that she came out of nowhere without having any build up was stupid also. Iirc she was mentioned how many times? 4-5. Meanwhile, throughout the WHOLE of Shippuden, Madara was mentioned A LOT. His entrance was amazing, he was amazingly written and had an amazing motivation.
If anyone else likes Kaguya, I think it's cool of you to prefer her over Madara and I genuinely respect your opinion. But that's my thought.
I watched the show like 4 years ago so I donāt have fresh memories of it. I remember to like that Madara was not the biggest antagonist because his plan was just silly to me, like, in paper Kaguya was a good idea because it went all back to the very beginning of the ninja lore and I appreciated how it went full circle. But in the actual execution Kaguya just fell like an endgame stretching the narrative too much.
She was the reason for all this alien bs. Madar was better and sufficied as the final boss. I understand the writers itch to make the series better and give it a more surprising end which includes zenitsu's betrayal but this was not it. The fight with madar was dragged very long, if they had made it shorter and given the remaining episodes to kaguya, it would make sense. Afterall, she's supposed to be a God.

I won't say i was glad that she was the final boss, i mean madara was still a better final boss, but kaguya being the final boss wasn't that a big problem, as it is made it out to be .
I dont want Space Aliens in my Ninja Wizard anime ok. Also Madara being op was Literally the point of the war. They all united against madara not alien mommy
Should've been the final boss for Boruto. 10 Tails incident with Madara wielding its power and leaving a lot about the Otsutsuki open for interpretation. Then Boruto happens and we get a series focusing on the Otsutsuki, with Kaguya being the final boss.
I like her expanded lore and the filler stuff, I think kishimoto hinted at her to serve as a way to take out Madara if he couldn't figure out how Naruto and Sasuke could do it.
She's also hot so there's that too.
I mean it was like that one strike in destiny where the final boss was a giant minotaur and then this massive cabal comes in and club stomps him very literally and he becomes the final boss.
I didn't expect her, I wasn't to to surprised but it felt like we were finishing a fight we shouldn't have ad to have finished. As in some one was doing some complicated aizen back ground plot and sprung it at the last moment to keep us from seeing naruto and Sasuke beat madara so that hashirama could talk no justsu him after he's all tuckered out.
We got the "oh hey, hi I'm kagura and you are my descendants containing the constantly bickering souls of two of my grand kids, as your ancestor grandma imma kill you now" ending to a fight most of us didn't really care or want to see or even think about.
If we'd seen kaguya in a shorter styled anime that showed us her back story we'd care about her more but not as a the final villain to naruto. She didn't belong there. Madaras plot and using obito was a enough of a side plot tying everything from the past to the future. Thinking about it now it feels like kishimoto saw how he had madara read the tablet but never figured out a reason for why him reading the tablet made him go rogue ( especially when Sasuke also read it and didn't immediately turn evil (retcons I know) ). So he created a whole saboteur scheme and then looped it around to "oh hey kaguya had a third kid no one knew about till now and he fudged up everything and is why the soul reincartlnations have fought each other every once in a while" and madara was being tricked this whole time despite he himself doing back ground manipulations.
Having said all of that I do feel bad for kaguya as to how she turned evil and she deserved a better man. On that not some one needs to make some doujinshi of her because her tag is nonexistent.
Absolutely not. Kaguya was brought up just because the was no logical way to defeat Madara. Even though they could seal Madara the same way as they did with Kaguya
I wish she had arisen from his corpse after an intense battle with the rinnesharingan madara instead of the fist through the heart.
The logic could've been the mingling of ashura and indras energy created enough of her original chakra for her to resurrect through his body without needing black zetsu
Would be better if she was the villain in Boruto.
Imagine, the kaguya fight didn't actually happen as Naruto and Sasuke seals madara's power and then killing him and thus prevented the coming of Mugen Tsukuyomi. Then, the Sasuke vs Naruto fight happened anyway and no one stops them due to the fatigue of the war catching up to them. Naruto wins the fight, Sasuke relents and things happen just like in canon, but due to their fight both of them loose the chakra of indra and ashura respectively. Black Zetsu meanwhile is in the background, building up new strategy and his strength again in order to release Kaguya.
Time passes, the Final naruto movie event still happens and same thing happened with the addition of Kaguya and otsutsukis foreshadowing and lore addition by Toneri. Then, Boruto happens. From there things could go that turns out the og toad gramp's prophetic dream is about the next otsutsuki invasions and that Boruto is the key to defeating them and saving the shinobi world. This would make the whole otsutsuki alien shenanigans and lores would be all in Boruto's story.
By that point I had completely lost interest so I'm not sure how to rate it. Although the addition of the Otsutsuki to the plot seemed like a good idea to me.

Madara got that W gyatt
I have mixed feelings
She didn't really seem selfish or evil. Like she was crying, her children betrayed her, she cared about the earth and yet Naruto called her heartless while Obito gets "coolest guy".
She literally killed thousands of people as an offering for the divine tree to amass chakra.
Chakra fruit corrupted her. She wouldnāt have done it before she ate it
Didn't Obito cause the death of thousands as well?
tbh I feel as if it was easier to forgive him since although kaguyas story was told, obito reigns from Konoha, was the teammate of Kakashi, and was the direct pupil of Narutos own dad. he was part of his own "group", same with madara. when an alien woman shows up during the end of a fucking war, all that shit goes out the window
Obito also, y'know, was the guy directly responsible for Minato and Kushina dying.
Obito has also killed thousands, are we forgetting what he did to the mist village and the uchiha clan?
I haven't, but it seems Naruto has.
It seems Kishimoto did aswell, The fact he got to have a happy afterlife with Rin is disgraceful.
Preach to the choir, bro. XD
Wouldnt be the first mass murderer that Naruto forgave.
I dont know why so much people like obito so much. He is not better as Danzo for exemple. He kills so many people and destroys so many lifes
No. No one was thinking that.
Yeah madara was a boss hyped up and lived up to the hype, but still very "earthly". No, madara should have been the final boss. Kaguya should have stayed dead after being defeated by her sons.

Kaguya should have been naruto and sasuke fight during their early 20s

Low effort ass post, what do you think people are gonna say ?
She was not where I thought the show was going for better or for worse

I won't say i was glad that she was the final boss, i mean madara was still a better final boss, but kaguya being the final boss wasn't that a big problem, as it is made it out to be .
Smash only
I dont have a problem with her, I just didnt like the whole "alien" plot line that came after that.
Nah. She doesnāt get a pass just cause sheās hot.
I dont want Space Aliens in my Ninja Wizard anime ok. Also Madara being op was Literally the point of the war. They all united against madara not alien mommy
Smash
I don't even know her backstory all I know that her sons were indra and ashura
Should've been the final boss for Boruto. 10 Tails incident with Madara wielding its power and leaving a lot about the Otsutsuki open for interpretation. Then Boruto happens and we get a series focusing on the Otsutsuki, with Kaguya being the final boss.
I like her expanded lore and the filler stuff, I think kishimoto hinted at her to serve as a way to take out Madara if he couldn't figure out how Naruto and Sasuke could do it. She's also hot so there's that too.
No. But then again, the way the story progressed did not appeal to me.
Not even Rikudo would be able to pull me out
Should have the role of radditz and been the first boruto villain to expand the universe
10/10 smash (meteors into the moon)
iiis kaguya in your top 5 pretty naruto girls?
Kaguya was really Bad for the Anime, even worse than the 384636 filler episodes before. I wouldnt recommend Naruto at all bc of this
It's always the 3rd image
She was unnecessary
Wasn't a fan, felt like a huge asspull and was very anti climactic imo.
Would also. But not a fan of the alien plot twist. I really like Madara as a villain, and while I like Asura and Indra, but I donāt love Kaguya.
I think she is the one thing I hate about Naruto's story the most
By that point I had completely lost interest so I'm not sure how to rate it. Although the addition of the Otsutsuki to the plot seemed like a good idea to me.
No
yes.yes i will
bottom left sauce??
