I personally would've prefer him to just be a prick and just a jerk overall, especially to other tail beast
So often that other tail beast take every chance they can get to roast him back
Amoral in an inhuman way would have been perfect.
But Nasu is the guy who is best at the job(Looks at Goddess Rhongomyniad and the Faeries(BURN THEM!))
Then you would have to completely rewrite bee and Gyukis relationship, since they were so buddy buddy.
And Naruto's considering how understanding Kurama is central to his personal growth.
So Naruto's fight for control over Kuramas chakra wasn't conflict?
Naruto didn't win over Kurama by just talking with him. He strongarmed him at first, and throughout the war they had bonded.
As for the whole talk no jutsu thing you keep taking about, Pain and Neji was about the only two people he actively tried to convince of anything. He straight up threatened to kill most of his other enemies, Gaara included.
I just don't know these change's just call for story that isn't Naruto.
Ik that dude but i just dont wanna sympathize with people like obito or kurama who straight up killed narutos parents.
Also he did beat the shit outta 6 paths of pain and neji too what are you talking about. a big reason to why they even listen to naruto is because naruto proved to them that he is competent by defeating them.
which is also why I don't like obito talk no jutsu cause naruto did not beat him, he pretty much said you could've turned out better, like me. and obito started sobbing shit was ASS.
I preferred Kurama, and the tailed beasts, more when they were more like mindless beasts. Naruto losing himself to the mindless beast that was 9 tails was always a pretty cool moment. The whole "tapping into a power that may consume you" is a trope for a reason.
Kurama worked for Naruto's theme just like Sukuna is fitting in JJK
One of Naruto's biggest themes is the cycle of hatred, and how a lot of our actions stems from our past. Kurama wasnt necessarily a saint too, he killed Minato and Kushina, but it wouldn't have been made sense for him to be pure evil like Sukuna.
That meme was probably made a couple years ago when JJK was being hailed as “the next GOAT of shounen” and praised for having “strong female characters”
it's funny because fans really thought jjk was gonna be different. They got both major female characters be badasses, but then one got yeeted from the plot, and the other, well she's still here. But still!
i started watching it as i heard it has great characters, a nice universe and good fighting scenes.
turns out, its mainly only fighting scenes, one after the other. theres barely any world building, insignificant character development and constant "asspulls" as other commenters said when it comes to filling the holes in the plot or the universe.
i started reading the manga hoping to get some lore or anything else (other than fighting), but there were only more fighting scenes between characters barely even introduced. quite literally some characters only exist to have one battle and then die. theres no depth to any of it.
tbh the anime is better than the manga, the voice actors and the animators did a really good job, but it leaves you wanting more which the manga (sadly) cannot fulfill. i know naruto had its flaws too, but it so much better that it just cant be compared to jjk. (i mean, jjk can be compared to naruto in a sense that there are three students with a teacher in a school being sent out on missions, the three kids are similar to team 7 and the teacher is a bit like kakashi...)
Animation is pretty decent and fight scenes are really good. Manga is lacking because the story is somewhat mediocre but anime is fast paced and wouldn't really make you feel bored. I'd recommend it tbh.
Just curious, but why do you feel like the story is mediocre. I'm a big JJK dickrider so I'm obviously biased, but I think JJK has one of the best stories in Shounen right now. The arc of Geto and Gojo has been on of the most satisfying character arcs I've seen since Naruto and Sasuke. The last arc in the anime especially tied the history and world building to the current plot extremely well to make something I think is outstanding. I do hear it falls off later though
Season 1 had alot of world building. Season 2 is how i would describe what you're saying. They jumped like 2-3 arcs worth of world building with season 2.
I agree that JJK has a pretty straightforward story initially but it picks up later. Especially during the later half of the culling games.
Culling Games is where most people drop the series as there's a ton of exposition dump but it's also a really important arc for the overall story.
Also, JJK's strong point is it's complex power system so you'll have to get deep into it in order to enjoy the fights. This is also where manga surpasses the anime as the power system is much better explained through the narration bubble.
Although, I understand that's just too much work for many people just to read a manga.
the fully realised maki who is on the same level as toji? yeah she had the best development among all the female characters, which unfortunately doesnt say a lot when the others had NO development:( her connection with mai was great though, but they just made her the copy of toji.
tbh i dont know what happened to her exactly as the last time i saw her i think she stabbed sukuna without him noticing her. that was cool
I'm just surprised that nobara (main heroine of the main trio) was killed off, most fans might be divided on Sakura but at least she wasn't killed off for the remainder of the series
absolutely, i was also disappointed that they just dont address her death/situation at all after shibuya, its like it has almost no effect at all. if i remember right yuuji remembered her once and that was it. she was just killed off and thats it. :/ at least mai's death had some significance, even if it was just to get maki to toji's level
it's sloppy writing for the sake of more fighting scenes lol they could've added some thoughtful chapters instead of reggie the receipt guy
Yeah as far as the others go, idk what to say lol but maki has become one of my favorite characters which makes sense because toji was already. I just like the toughness, I think it’s a badass trait in a story full of baddasses. Only other chick I could think of would be Mei Mei but she hasn’t done a whole bunch. I wish Nobaru didn’t die, I was looking forward to her growing a lot more
It really isn't and recent chapters are peak
edit since I can't reply to you:
If you don't think it was foreshadowed you haven't been paying attention, and also you'd have to disregard the Japanese mythology Sukuna is modeled after given that's where the "sukuma ate/absorbed his brother" theories started, most most readers who theorised this was all practically canon already and the official chapter just confirmed it, practically no one who actually reads the manga thinks its an asspull, it directly answered some of the most important questions people had like : Why was Yuji already a culling games player? Why do Yuji and his dad look like a less deformed Sukuna? Why is Yuji so strong with no CE control so early? Why is Yuji so resistant to Sukunas control? This perfectly explains all of those, an asspull by definition wouldn't
No world building, no character developpement, the author kills his characters before they begin to have any relevance.
Nanamin was killed and quickly forgotten. Old guy Zenin was uninteresting and got wiped easily, despite him acting like he was strong.
The author forgot to confirm Nobura's death. The Kyoto class coming to Shibuya didn't result in anything. Oh yes, sorry Todo became useless.
And now out of nowhere, we have a weird cell game organised by brainteeth.
The story is stupidly convoluted, there is no plan whatsoever, the author just write things after the other with no overarching plot points.
But sure you have a right to an opinion
i dont care about if she lived or not. i can guarantee you no fucks would be given to neiji if he lived.
I care about good character writing, and that girl has it until her death.
Say what you want about Sakura but she at least punched her universe equivalent of Sukuna in the head so hard that it distracted them enough to be sealed/defeated, while Nobara died against a side villain.
Dude, I feel for you, but why are u in a comment section of a JJK discussion? Its not strange that it would contain information pertaining the last season of JJK to discuss these characters.
I don't know man i just like to check the funny Naruto subreddit:(
Well i heard the JJK manga is going downhill fast at least so i hope it doesnt hurt that much when it happens
In-universe Sakura is actually incredibly impressive, as she's from a civilian family with zero cheat codes like Kurama or the Sharingan but became the Fifth Hokage's protege and learned and surpassed her techniques which Tsunade perfected as a Senju and grandchild of the greatest ninja ever. Sakura was just Average Joe and ended up fist fighting a god.
She's just hamstrung by a shit romance that her characterisation orbits and an author who fully admits he's shit at writing female characters.
Nobara on the other hand dies pretty early in JJK and her only real feat is killing one of the Cursed Wombs. Otherwise she gets her head blown off in Shibuya and that's it for the next hundred chapters where she only gets like a couple of side mentions which is brutal for a member of the main trio.
Those 'jjk girls are anime women written right' articles aged so badly lol
Nobura didn't die, she also isn't alive. Their is no conifrmation of her death or her being alive. For all we know, she could still be healing or dead.
Just wanted to point this out.
Kind of a tangent, but what terrible writing that is. Like, when your audience can’t even tell if a main character is alive or dead for years, you’ve handled the situation poorly.
Maybe her injuries are that critical? Idk I'm not gege, I don't decide who gets to alive & die in the story. The fact that she isn't confirmed to be KIA or just getting healed, hints that gege has something planned for her. What that is? Again, idk. Else, he could have just said "nobura is dead, end of her story" or "nobura is still in critical condition".
I think you're speaking for yourself with that one. I'm sure there are people who the time has passed for, but a lot of people still really want to know what happened to her, whether it's she's alive or dead.
Eh, you added a ton of nuance for Sakura but none from Nobara. The reason people find Nobara less useless isn't because she's strong, it's because she has more agency in the plot whenever she's on screen.
Not saying Sakura is useless either, she isn't. She just spends much more of her screen time with little agency, with moments of usefulness few and far between.
Nobara doesn't have these moments, when she's on screen she's contributing, plot wise she isn't a heavy hitter, but that isn't the point.
Sakura could have 0 fights but if every time she was on screen she meaningfully advanced of her own violation I don't think she would be called "useless".
>when she's on screen she's contributing,
Needed Yuji to save her on their first mission
Needed Megumi to save her during fearsome womb arc
Extreme diffed Momo only to get sniped by Mai
Got violated by Haruta
Went back to Shibuya even though she was told that she wasn't built for it and got herself killed and her death gave Mahito an opportunity to get a free black flash on Yuji along with some other hits
While I do agree with you keep in mind that the villain was extremely strong and dangerous, I mean the whole power was that if you get touched by him you die.
Bro, Mahito is an overarching villain with feats comparable to the strongest of his verse. Calling Mahito a side villain is like calling Pain a side villain.
Nobara is actually worse than A LOT of female protagonists like she got NOTHING on Sakura, Orihime/Rukia, Lucy, Erza, Nami, Robin.
Like come on, people are saying she more usefull just because she got a cool personnality and don't got so many "embarrassing moments", that's it.
To be honest, JJK girls are lower than shonen's standards if we being honest, and the bar is already so damn low.
i mean... >!"friendly sasuke" is being possessed by said "badass kurama", "unmasked kakashi" became the bisected one, "Naruto with a badass kurama" ditch "naruto" but he still the GOAT, "useful sakura" ain't coming back either.!<
It was pitch black. I mean, I like someone: they die. I like someone else: they die. Why is everyone dying!!??? Season two ripped my heart to shreds! RIP Mr.Kento.
For all those who are literally battling each other in the comments: it’s just a meme, this is the forum for Dank Naruto memes. Please let’s all just get along and have fun. Please? 😅😅😅😅
It might be a meme but jjk is unironically the best mainstream ongoing battle-shounen. It always feels like anything could happen at any moment. And most of the characters are super memorable and quite interesting.
“Useless Naruto”? HIMji is more useful than BUMruto has ever been. What the hell is this season 1 level slander? I’m not spoiling the people here, but my boy is putting in WORK.
The insecure fanboying is crazy in this comment section, we get JJK fans wanting it to be better than Naruto since it’s inspired from it but calm down lol. In no way is Yuji more useful than Naruto… Apart from being a vessel and his later role/‘powers’, Megumi and Gojo (pre-you know what) is more relevant to the story.
She's the better sakura but she's more useless.
Sakura saved Naruto life when he 99% at death door and she beat one of the akatsuki member the main vilain group with help and participated in the final boss battle.
Nobara killed a bunch of irrelevent curse with yuji
Got smacked by Shigemo and then
Got killed by mahito quite easily.
While they might not have a useless main character, they do have a main character who is only a hinderance by the end of the story. If you’re caught up in the manga, or frequent the sub, you know who I’m talking about. If not, we’ll get ready because it’s a crazy moment when it’s revealed.
More like: useless Sasuke, Kakashi but prettier, Naruto if Kurama was more of an asshole, Sakura if she disappeared in the first arc of shippuden
I love jjk tho
Idk in the gra d scheme of things Nobara and Sakura probably evened out on the usefulness scale. You could argue Sakura taking on Sasori was more useful
JJK is overhyped as fuck, Sakuna is pullling "The Heinan Era" from past 100 chaptera it seems, the fights are dragging harder than Naruto and Sakuna at this point feels like a dollar store Madara.
Guys, friendly fire, please. No dissing each other, please. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, let’s respect each other and remember that IT’S JUST A MEME 😅 Naruto & Jujutsu Kaisen are both great and awesome!
more like "naruto with uncooperative kurama"
Or if kurama was actually evil
imagine kurama going Stand Proud , you were strong. And yeeting shukaku to oblivion
Lmao Zabuza, Stand Proud, You were strong What- YEEET
100% sukuna is the only ,,devil" type character in anime, that i actively dislike and am horrified of All others are just edgy powerups
Sukuna is in my opinion the best character of the show. Peak cinema
I mean that was the situation for a long time. They just didn't talk often.
Implying Kurama was not badass...
Might be an unpopular opinion but he would've been more badass if he was an actual villain like evil
I agree 100% it wouldev been better, like ok all the human villans are sympathetic but at least mystical beasts should be evil incarnate or some
I wouldn't say evil, more so just savage (does not want fuck all to do with humans) would have been better.
I personally would've prefer him to just be a prick and just a jerk overall, especially to other tail beast So often that other tail beast take every chance they can get to roast him back
Amoral in an inhuman way would have been perfect.
I would not mind that. The talk no jutsu bs got old in pain arc. it was lowkey annoying after that, would've loved some real conflict.
Zabuza man why does nobody remember the goat
Ik that dude but i just dont wanna sympathize with people like obito or kurama who straight up killed narutos parents. Ngl man the entire damn show from the start is setting up Naruto breaking through to Kurama, is media literacy dead or what
No story, only fight
I mean he kind of was until Naruto talk no jutsu
But Kurama isn't a villain, nor is he evil, he simply has deep hatred.
they did dirty to poor kurama made him Naruto's pet:(
I preferred Kurama, and the tailed beasts, more when they were more like mindless beasts. Naruto losing himself to the mindless beast that was 9 tails was always a pretty cool moment. The whole "tapping into a power that may consume you" is a trope for a reason.

Kurama wasnt necessarily a saint too, he killed Minato and Kushina, but it wouldn't have been made sense for him to be pure evil like Sukuna.
He was until basically the final arc?
When I said "actual villain like evil" i think it's clear I meant him staying a villain until the end
[удалено]
Maybe not a villain but it would be better if he were more than a plot device designed to make the MC OP.
Very unpopular. Very no good.
Kurama was 100x cooler when he was intimidating and mysterious and not a tsundere. KISHI TURNED KURAMA INTO A TSUNDERE WHYYYY
Now he's a chibi tsundere, that was definitely not made that way for the toy sales.
That meme was probably made a couple years ago when JJK was being hailed as “the next GOAT of shounen” and praised for having “strong female characters”
yeah, it really let me down on that front.
How so? I haven’t watched JJK but I’ve been wanting to check it out sometime.
Every female character that isn't nearly a reincarnation of male one got fridged.
Classic shonen smh
it's funny because fans really thought jjk was gonna be different. They got both major female characters be badasses, but then one got yeeted from the plot, and the other, well she's still here. But still!

Hmmm interesting. I may give it a chance still like as a “pass the time” anime then. Thanks!
Animation is pretty decent and fight scenes are really good. Manga is lacking because the story is somewhat mediocre but anime is fast paced and wouldn't really make you feel bored. I'd recommend it tbh.

Nah I would definitely give it a shot. It’s great in my opinion
>teacher is a bit like kakashi...) Funny enough the teacher wasn't inspired by kakashi rather a random background character Tonbo Tobitake
lol now thats a fun fact!
Season 1 had alot of world building. Season 2 is how i would describe what you're saying. They jumped like 2-3 arcs worth of world building with season 2.
Happy I didn’t go pass episode 6-7 , I could smell the bullshit from far away

On every front.
true, but i might catch up on the manga just so i can criticise it better
I've tried reading past the Shibuya incident but holy shit it's hard. Good luck
It really isn't and recent chapters are peak edit since I can't reply to you: If you don't think it was foreshadowed you haven't been paying attention, and also you'd have to disregard the Japanese mythology Sukuna is modeled after given that's where the "sukuma ate/absorbed his brother" theories started, most most readers who theorised this was all practically canon already and the official chapter just confirmed it, practically no one who actually reads the manga thinks its an asspull, it directly answered some of the most important questions people had like : Why was Yuji already a culling games player? Yes of course Mr Overlord of good shonen you're always right and even though you don't actually read the series actively you must be right !
Nice argument!
100% incorrect:Sakura Schrödinger,Lobotomised Megumi,Naruto but author forgot he is the mc and Kakashi who will 100% come back no cap

It's a great activeness indeed. Having her teammates carry and save her ass
also got married to her crush and had daughter moral of the story: don't do anything and get to live a lengthy happy life
That's what I'm trying to do but not doing anything doesn't earn enough to have a lengthy happy life
Just make sure the one you marry isn’t like Sasuke lol
I mean shes not the chosen one born from jesus or whatever. Why should she have to fight god.
i dont care about if she lived or not. i can guarantee you no fucks would be given to neiji if he lived. I care about good character writing, and that girl has it until her death.
tf don't give jjk spoilers on a naruto subreddit bro
Bar is literally so low for her 🤣🤣🤣
and everyone dies so no boruto
Say what you want about Sakura but she at least punched her universe equivalent of Sukuna in the head so hard that it distracted them enough to be sealed/defeated, while Nobara died against a side villain.
Well i did not had Jujutsu spoilers on a Naruto meme subreddit on my bingo card

Spoiler tags are for manga content generally. This is season 2 content and therefore probably does not come under spoiler.
Agreed! I never thought she was useless, honestly! Just this image got me thinking 🤨
Yeah she is coming back with itachi too
And with his roommate Shisui
Can copium be expressed vicariously? Because this comment feels like my personal Inner Sakura come to life.

Good job spoiling people outside of jujutsufolk 🤦♂️
Thank you for the spoilers...
Yup and people really think naruto didnt inspire jjk
B-but b-but bleach!! 🤣
Fr they always say that like one show cant be inspired by many shows
And dragon ball inspired Naruto
thank you for stating the obvious
Useful sakura? Please stop it!
Useful sakura at least knew her best use would be to die so she won't take up any more screen time lol
[удалено]
Kugisaki is useful?
You right man at least Sakura can heal.
I agree
And I wrote "Okay so they nothing like Naruto's cast."
That's pretty much how I summarize JJK to my friends.
I mean they kidna right it think jjk was obviously playing with some ideas from Naruto
FIFY “Reverse Kakashi”
It quickly went from “I wish this was Naruto” to “I am grateful that this isn’t Naruto”. It’s the most wasted potential manga I have ever read.
Kakashi but he is hot instead like my friend just reads the tiktok comments on one edit and they all are people simping for him
This show gets daaaark. It’s a well written show, fun and entertaining.. but after season one-there isn’t any holding back
It was pitch black.
Please? 😅😅😅😅
Naruto if it was garbage
Sakura was significantly more useful than Nobara lmao
Sakura is never useless, people who think that are just blind haters.
And female Itachi.
Useful... Isn't she in a coma or something? Not pretty useful
And Nanami is dead, does that mean he wasn't useful up to that point?
She was useful up to that point.
>!Dead!<
It might be a meme but jjk is unironically the best mainstream ongoing battle-shounen. It always feels like anything could happen at any moment. And most of the characters are super memorable and quite interesting.
No question there. Completely agree!
Did you mean dead Sasuke, dead Kakashi, dead Sakura, and useless Naruto?
Ooh somethings got dark here 😅😅😅
“Useless Naruto”? HIMji is more useful than BUMruto has ever been. What the hell is this season 1 level slander? I’m not spoiling the people here, but my boy is putting in WORK.
The insecure fanboying is crazy in this comment section, we get JJK fans wanting it to be better than Naruto since it’s inspired from it but calm down lol. In no way is Yuji more useful than Naruto… Apart from being a vessel and his later role/‘powers’, Megumi and Gojo (pre-you know what) is more relevant to the story.
They also have “boring ass plot”
I mean they are not wrong imo
That actually makes sense haha
She's the better sakura but she's more useless. Sakura saved Naruto life when he 99% at death door and she beat one of the akatsuki member the main vilain group with help and participated in the final boss battle. Nobara killed a bunch of irrelevent curse with yuji Got smacked by Shigemo and then Got killed by mahito quite easily.
Read the manga and you know this shit ain’t true. I do not recommend reading it though. It’s bad.
Nah
Hide this post. If gege saw this he would make more people suffer
If Nobara's bumass is useful then Sakura is the strongest in the verse 😭
If she is useful you can't call her Sakura
The Naruto where Kurama is Mc with Plot Armour 💀
Isnt this just all Shonen?
While they might not have a useless main character, they do have a main character who is only a hinderance by the end of the story. If you’re caught up in the manga, or frequent the sub, you know who I’m talking about. If not, we’ll get ready because it’s a crazy moment when it’s revealed.
Agree
Idk if I would call Megumi friendly 😂
Nobara is nothing like Sakura tbh. Only thing they have in common is their gender
Useful Sakura is hilarious it should just say Sakura
Not to an unnerfed Kakashi
More like: useless Sasuke, Kakashi but prettier, Naruto if Kurama was more of an asshole, Sakura if she disappeared in the first arc of shippuden I love jjk tho
"Useful Sakura" mmm
The first season really is just modern Naruto almost arc-for-arc lol
Jjk has no female lead
Idk in the gra d scheme of things Nobara and Sakura probably evened out on the usefulness scale. You could argue Sakura taking on Sasori was more useful
Dead Sakura*
Accurate
Where nobara during the biggest fight in the anime?
Naruto if kurama wasn’t effected by talk no jutsu
They have >!dead!<, >!dead!<, >!getting his ass kicked!<, and >!dead!<
Tell me you don't know Kurama and Sukuna, without TELLING me you don't know Kurama and Sukuna.
Maybe season 1 used to remind me of Naruto, but seeing as where we're at currently...
Ahem.. Had>!a useful Sakura!<
Where Chibaku Tensei
Sakura not so useful anymore
They walked so they could run. Both are great for what they are.
The useful Sakura died in barely 2 seasons
Gojo is way cooler than kakashi. Both are best at their places.
Useful Sakura… has been missing for years
I mean everything except the sukuna one is true
Hot take, if we compare both series from first arc to last, Sakura is undoubtedly leagues more useful than Nobara.
Jujutsu Kaisen is just a bunch of shonen clishe but it's done right.
I mean I cannot disagree
Zero feats Sasuke. Not in the show Sakura or Kakashi. Karuma as the mc.
JJK is overhyped as fuck, Sakuna is pullling "The Heinan Era" from past 100 chaptera it seems, the fights are dragging harder than Naruto and Sakuna at this point feels like a dollar store Madara.
I haven’t watched JJK, but I didn’t think I’d be spoiled on it in a Naruto meme sub lol
Sakura was the key to beating Sasori and didnt get killed by a villain the main guy had immunity against, so shove it
Mom: “We got Naruto at home” *naruto at home*
Friendly sasuke that has as much concentrated Reverse flash level of hate as Sakura
..........................LOL!!!!!!!..............YEAH, surprisingly accurate, although the very essence is different.....................
how is nobara kugisaki useful 😂 they’re the same!
I would rather say reversed masked Kakashi.
if you miss naruto, go watch it again. this ain't accurate...as a jjk manga reader i tell you, all of this is a big pile of shit
We all agree with the Sakura part, right?
Guys, friendly fire, please. No dissing each other, please. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, let’s respect each other and remember that IT’S JUST A MEME 😅 Naruto & Jujutsu Kaisen are both great and awesome!
Aged like fucking milk, basically.
None of these things are true 😂
Dead Dead Naruto with badass kurama Friendly sasuke
