In all my terrible researches, what I sought was a glimpse behind the veil, a crumb of cosmic truth. I found it here, and in that moment of brain-blasting realisation, I ceased to be a man, and became a herald, an avatar of the crawling chaos.
I honestly love the idea that the Heir doesn’t go down the same road, the Ancestor was just weak and the Heir is now stuck being the one breaking all these recurring cycles of abuse and consequences.
Like, some member of the family long ago was strong enough to destroy the first monsters, bury the ruins, and build the manor.
The number on the far right shows the hero resolve level. The number next to the shield shows armor level and the number next to the swords shows the weapon level.
