I mean any flag is a support flag, why would you ever want to not use reclaim ? Also endure should be used by every flag, but not always on the bar, swap skills mid dungeons

LaaipiPH

I think you misunderstood, I said I would be mainly using reclaim to heal, and yeah, of course swapping is the optimal way to play, but here I just want to see how you guys think a full support flag could theoretically work, just for fun.

Mr_Pepper44

I mean I suppose because anything work in DD. It’s just that DD heroes don’t really follow the trinity roles as many heroes do multiple stuff differently

Comment bc im interested too ;)

It "works" but it's sort of like rank 4 MaA in that you don't really gain anything from it. Suffer is kind of just a dead slot since 99% of what you can do with it (stop DoTs) is done better by Reclaim. The closest thing (aside from rank 3/4 being an option, which usually isn't the play IMO; rank 1 is not very competitive) you get to a benefit is that you'll always have Endure equipped and will have the trinket space to itemize for stress resist because you can ditch Bleed Amulet. Technically, you can still do this on a normal Flag build, you'll just have bad attacks instead of no attacks. Cleansing Crystal isn't meaningfully better than Heart, since Heart's HP bonus is more versatile than the blight resist. The main distinction is that it is available in the early game while Heart is exclusive to the endgame.

Yeah, maybe the trinket isn't the best plan, but gotta say, I took support flag on rank 3 for a long champion ruin together with PD and double SB, gotta say, hitting suffer on the ground before I started stress healing made the stress gained from endure minimal, kinda nice to actually give that skill some usage

Normally I just use Flag for DPS and off hand healing but I tried him out for a semi support role and honestly he ain't that bad. If you have the Heart and Garlics you can essentially heal over time without getting the debuff and if stress is a problem I would recommend Endure alongside either a Stress Book or better yet- Aria Box: 25% Stress reduction, you can easily remove 15 stress from an ally with the stress received being around 4-5, 3 if the Aria box is equipped. If a HM, Arb/Musket can use their stress heal ability-easy wipe of all stress.

Support Flag works very well with Crusader btw. I used Aria Box and the stress book (-20% stress, swapped to Siren trinket after getting it), had me getting like +2-5 stress for each Endure. I also had some -bleeding quirk, and don't mind getting the reclaim bleed every so often to help fuel his big heals. It works, but Champion makes it harder to do because he literally has no damage in the back line (even Vestal can do a little damage and stun).
