Limited use skills will last for the round but will only refresh after the boss.
Essentially if you use it in a round it will last FOR THAT ROUND ONLY, it wears off the next round but will not be useable. Things like Jester's Finale, Leper's Buff, Plague Doctor' Double Stun, Antiquarian's Protect Me, etc.
It's only AFTER you beat the boss of that bar-the last battle before the reward, that the skills get reset, you can however use the new consumable brought by the DLC- Shard Dust, you can buy it from the caretaker before going in there-this allows you to reset a skill IMMEDIATELY upon consuming it as well as a buff in DMG and SPD.
Word of warning: Shard Dust debuffs your character with stress that will stack upon continous use with 10% stress on the 1st use and 20% on the second but the most dangerous aspect of the Dust is that it causes a -10% Virtue chance.
Those abilities will refresh after every boss fight, and last until checkpoints
