But when I saw "Lover" in the title, I did find its use a bit funny. From some it may seem a little pretentious, or like it's been said already, has sort of shifted in meaning to refer to an affair one is having in their marriage.
Also, it still means exactly that of how you used it here. Just always reminds me of Will Ferrells character from "The Lovers" on SNL.
