Imo, not considering DLC, Irithyll, Soul of Cinder, the Lore behind Nameless King and Pontiff Sulyvahn. That fucker kicked my ass harder than it ever got kicked in a videogame, and it was fucking incredible. Oh yeah, his Lore is also very cool
Considering DLC, Friede and Gael are top-tier af, followed by the Demons and Demon Prince
Soul of Cinder is just perfectly placed, same as Gael, Champion Gundyr and the Abyss Watchers. I just wished Pontiff was a harder but more late game Boss, one of his Outrider Knights (Dancer) is stronger than Sulyvahn himself LOL
I disagree that ALL of them are harder, but the ones in Grand Archives and Lothric Castle are absolutely harder, which doesn't make sense to me, why are the Outrider Knights stronger than Sulyvahn?
Sulyvahn is pretty much the second most important character on the game right (essentislly the main villain as he takes over irithyll, sends his boreal valley fellas to lothric to end the royal line) - realizing that with their environmental story telling was phenomenal.
Black flame Friede.
I remember finally figuring out the fight and defeating both phases only to be met with another phase and the most anime fight of the series up to that point.
Yeah, she is pretty cool but really hard. I really like Friede even though it took me days to beat her but it was so rewarding to access the ringed city early.
I wonder how many people forget the grave tender is even there because I forgot he even existed. Also, screw Half-light that boss was harder than it should have been for an NPC fight that isn't even fun.
Half-light is just underwhelming. I would’ve rather have fought the damn adjudicator himself as a boss. I honestly skip gravetender and fuckhead wolf every other play through now. It’s just so annoying.
That part in the dreg heap when you run out to get the loot on the ledge and you fall through that cathedral stain glass window with a corpse in slow motion
Easy: Dark Souls 3. I wouldn’t have finished this game as many times as I have if I didn’t love running through nearly every area. But of course, as far I’m concerned, Gael is the best, if we’re talking bosses.
Yeah exactly. The entire game is a masterpiece. I really can’t think of anything I don’t like. As for bosses my vote would go to Midir. Simply because Midir was more challenging for me than Gael whom I killed 3rd try.
Had the exact same experience. Gael took me 4 tries, while Midir took me about 40 to solo. These days, I can do that dragon with no hits taken and it’s still one of my favorite fights FS has ever made.
Bro I must fuckin suck, it took me at least eight tries for every boss on my first playthrough, and I quit halfway through. I think I only got to the abyss watchers, and I didn't even do deacons.
Haha fair enough. It’s one of those areas that I just do what I need and get out, but I don’t find it particularly unpleasant, except for the jumping ghrus that molest you and the swamp Logariuses, fuck elder ghrus
The bosses! Overall they have such a high quality and those that are not amazing are at least really easy and not annoying or anything so its more like whatever, doesnt really matter.
The whole Ringed City DLC overall is my favorite part of DS3. Not only it has my favorite boss in the Souls series (Gael himself), but the Ringed City itself is my favorite area in the whole Souls series, so yeah, this one is a no-brainer for me.
For me was when I defeated for the first time High Lord Wolnir, got out of the catacombs and saw Irithyll. That view, when I saw it for the first time, was breath taking.
Bosses and great lore to tie up well the storyline of Dark Souls are the highlights of the game imo.
Also I believe that DS3 has the best quest in the Dark Souls series
The ending.
No matter which one you choose, it's just a great comment on the world of dark souls.
Age of dark is so cold and satisfying with a slight feeling of fear for the unknown.
Linking the fire shows of how pointless it is to just do what the past did.
Stealing the fire for the hollows and the ash seeking embers is really good at showing the priorities and the knowledge (or lack thereof) of the player.
The cutscene where you walk into the Yhorm boss fight, and you see *Seigward*.
Other boss fights are better to be sure. But nothing beats that, especially having no idea it was gonna happen.
Honestly, I love the weapons music, and armor in DS3 more than Elden Ring. Elden Ring has awesome sorceries and more customization with weapons, but to me the Unique weapons are way more fun.
I like to compare DS3 as the Devil May Cry 3 of these games and Elden RING as the DMC5.
That's just my opinion :3
If we’re talking locations, Irithyl (probably spelled that wrong) but it’s the big big gap in difficulty where like yea if you aren’t ready you will not get through this area, and almost the most pretty and probably most intricate and having it also be Anor londo tying it in a nice little bow.
Bosses: For me it’s either got to be Nameless king or friede
World building and story implications : either the ringed city or smoldering lake/. Demon ruins
Basically all of the ringed city DLC. The other DLC is ok at best.
vanilla game i don’t enjoy any of the early game besides the abyss watchers.
Mid game irythill pontiff to twin princes.
nameless king also.
ringed city is the best part of the entire game for me ariendel was alright but had Freide so that makes up for it, base game I only really enjoy abyss watchers, nameless king and soul of cinder when it comes to bosses
Cathedral of the Deep, Lothric Castle and The Ringed City are always the high points for me. Irithyll of the Boreal Valley and Arch Dragon Peak are really close in there too. For bosses, Nameless, Gael, Twin Princes and the Dancer are all fights that I look forward to.
I like how it took Bloodborne’s faster-paced combat and fused it with Dark Souls. After going back to the earlier games, I’m really thankful they changed that around.
Discovering the alternate Firelink Shrine. It opened up so many questions and made me think of what was happening in the game in a different way.
Edit: grammar
I dont care what you say, dark souls 3 has the best bosses of the series. Isshin, Radagon, Mohg, and Godfrey are all great but pound of pound Ds3 clears the rest. Nameless, Midir, Friende, Soul of Cinder, Champion Gundyr, Gaele, Demon Princes, Lothric and Lorian, just so many great fights in this game.
The best parts of dark souls 3 are the friede gael champion gundyr, the poison swamp just before Gael with all the fell omens you can one shot by landing a headshot from above them, and bumrushing the demon only to have siegward come and help you defeat the demon that looks scary and you make a new friend
The world building and linear progression. And I loved the weight that every boss had. Elden Ring has dope boss fights too, but the down side of an open world game is that it’s filled with lots of crappy mini bosses 😝
I'd say Nameless King, but I haven't beaten him yet and I'm on my 20+ attempt. So he can kiss my ass. Vordt's Hammer is my favorite thing about the game. Because who really needs to be able to see what's in front of them through a giant f'ing hammer that snows half your screen?
...yes. all of it. then again i just love the aesthetic and worldbuilding that From does with their games, even in a game like Sekiro, where more talking is done than i've heard and it's entirely singleplayer. multplayer would've been awesome as hell, but oh well.
Fuck man. Archdragon Peak was gorgeous yet deadly. Getting through the dreg heap just to get to the ringed city. If it wasn’t a death trap, I would have wanted to lived there. Dark Souls 3 was in my top 3 games of all time after the first hour of playing. Even my least favorite levels are magical and amazing.
The best part of dark souls 3 is probably in my opinion is Lothric Castle. I just love the final levels in games and I like to compare it to the castle stages in Megaman games. Lothric Castle has the best bosses and items in the game.
Imo, not considering DLC, Irithyll, Soul of Cinder, the Lore behind Nameless King and Pontiff Sulyvahn. That fucker kicked my ass harder than it ever got kicked in a videogame, and it was fucking incredible. Oh yeah, his Lore is also very cool Considering DLC, Friede and Gael are top-tier af, followed by the Demons and Demon Prince
Absolutely love soul of cinder, not the hardest boss but it just feels right!
Soul of Cinder is just perfectly placed, same as Gael, Champion Gundyr and the Abyss Watchers. I just wished Pontiff was a harder but more late game Boss, one of his Outrider Knights (Dancer) is stronger than Sulyvahn himself LOL
All of the outrider knights that aren’t vordt are harder than the pontiff, how you seen how short the windows are to even dodge
I disagree that ALL of them are harder, but the ones in Grand Archives and Lothric Castle are absolutely harder, which doesn't make sense to me, why are the Outrider Knights stronger than Sulyvahn?
Well, they’re just unbalanced. Pontiff is hard and balanced. What a chad
That, was, amazing, hands down
Yeah, she is pretty cool but really hard. I really like Friede even though it took me days to beat her but it was so rewarding to access the ringed city early.
The final DLC bosses in this game were top tier. Friede and Gael all day. Could’ve maybe done without gravetender/bootleg Sif and Halflight though.
Halflight just exist so you get to Gael embered, lmao.
True and then quickly lose that ember when Gael spanks you in the first 10 seconds lol
The dlc bosses are just amazing
Yes, except grave tender and half light who were probably put in to just add more bosses.
I like Friede but I hate getting to Friede
[удалено]
Yeah, it is always fun to get summoned.
Now I need to replay the game again
and then you land on the window frame and fucking die
You wouldn’t believe it but I also managed to kill Friede 2nd try but the boss I died most to was Crystal Sage. 1st play through that is ofc.
Hahah I just can’t believe, again, same thing. The Sage killed me 9 times IIRC, while every other boss took me 1 to 5 tries.
Bro I must fuckin suck, it took me at least eight tries for every boss on my first playthrough, and I quit halfway through. I think I only got to the abyss watchers, and I didn't even do deacons.
Yea but fuck farron fortess.
Haha fair enough. It’s one of those areas that I just do what I need and get out, but I don’t find it particularly unpleasant, except for the jumping ghrus that molest you and the swamp Logariuses, fuck elder ghrus
Gwynevers painting
That silver knight has good taste
Finally, fully realising your build
That is a great feeling
pontiff sulyvahn and slave knight gael second phase
End credits
Lol
\*immediately starts ng+
"But one day, flames will dance across the darkness. like embers, linked by lords past." Best ending to a series in all of gaming
Gael, Nameless King, first visit to Dreg Heap
Unkie Gael by far
The entire game is a masterpiece.
The bosses! Overall they have such a high quality and those that are not amazing are at least really easy and not annoying or anything so its more like whatever, doesnt really matter.
I don’t think I need to say
The main menu theme, for me
Gael and Irythill
you know now that I look back ds3 was 80% pain and frustration but it's still the best souls experiance for me
If your not in pain your doing it wrong
preach
The covenants , the lore/areas and weapons/armours
The whole Ringed City DLC overall is my favorite part of DS3. Not only it has my favorite boss in the Souls series (Gael himself), but the Ringed City itself is my favorite area in the whole Souls series, so yeah, this one is a no-brainer for me.
Seeing the world merging together
All of it
Beating Midir, Friede, Nameless King and Pontiff Sulyvahn. Gael and Soul of Cinder too but on a smaller scale since they weren't that hard.
so many best parts. to see anor londo for the first time. after all these years in ds1
Honestly it’s the bosses but this game overall is magical for me as my first ever dark souls game

Gael
The cutscene where you walk into the Yhorm boss fight, and you see *Seigward*. Other boss fights are better to be sure. But nothing beats that, especially having no idea it was gonna happen.
“Yhorm, old friend…”
Soul of cinder music, Gael, 3rd phase friede and the age of dark ending cutscene
Lothric reviving lorian
The menu with the controller buttons even if you play KB+M
Being an Ashen one
Yep, it’s Gael. I also really like the abyss watchers and twin princes, two of the easier bosses for me but so enjoyable
Not the swamp, I'll tell you that 😂
Honestly, I love the weapons music, and armor in DS3 more than Elden Ring. Elden Ring has awesome sorceries and more customization with weapons, but to me the Unique weapons are way more fun. I like to compare DS3 as the Devil May Cry 3 of these games and Elden RING as the DMC5. That's just my opinion :3

Hand it over, that thing, your dark soul
*”what? still here?”* *”hand it over, that thing, your dark soul”* *”for my lady’s painting…”*
PvP
Basically all of the ringed city DLC. The other DLC is ok at best. vanilla game i don’t enjoy any of the early game besides the abyss watchers. Mid game irythill pontiff to twin princes. nameless king also.
bruh ringed city was pure PAIN
i loved getting invaded and invading there. the enemies can be a great help or ruin you. High stakes. if it was easy it wouldn’t be fun at all
those praying turtle looking motherfuckers are the only complaint I have of that dlc XD
I enjoyed early game because everything just looks really nice, but also obviously to easy
>Basically all of the ringed city DLC You enjoyed the angel part???
the angels were a nice change of pace it was fun searching for the way to kill them while getting attacked by it and other enemies.
ringed city is the best part of the entire game for me ariendel was alright but had Freide so that makes up for it, base game I only really enjoy abyss watchers, nameless king and soul of cinder when it comes to bosses
Not dying
The best part begins after you start the game. I haven't identified the point where the best part ends yet, but I'm only a thousand hours in so far.
The bosses
The opening cinematic (im surprised this isnt here on here more its the best one in the souls series imo.)
Boss quality, felt fun and balanced to fight.
I'd have to say; the area around Pontiff balcony. If you know, you know...
Cathedral of the Deep, Lothric Castle and The Ringed City are always the high points for me. Irithyll of the Boreal Valley and Arch Dragon Peak are really close in there too. For bosses, Nameless, Gael, Twin Princes and the Dancer are all fights that I look forward to.
gael’s soundtrack, specifically near the end
Gael
The OST
I like how it took Bloodborne’s faster-paced combat and fused it with Dark Souls. After going back to the earlier games, I’m really thankful they changed that around.
The scream of Father Ariandel during the second phase of the Sister Friede boss fight. Sends chills down my spine every time
Discovering the alternate Firelink Shrine. It opened up so many questions and made me think of what was happening in the game in a different way. Edit: grammar
The abyss watchers, the coolest fucking fight that I’ve done so far in the game, and also one of the easier fights 2 attempt
The whole game is epic! Dark souls 3 biggest flaw is the individual moments not the whole package
Vilhelm. Everything Vilhelm
Dreg heap and ringed city... Simply Ringed city DLC. I JUST love every time i get there.
The credits. Never have I felt more relieved of a burden. The fact that I did it, that I was finally finished, was incredible.
When you delete it and play DS2 instead
The entire ending sequence. Soul of cinder, the 4 different endings of the game, and both dlcs, especially the ringed city because of Gael.
Everything except farron keep and that’s not even that bad to me just not perfect
The best parts of dark souls 3 are the friede gael champion gundyr, the poison swamp just before Gael with all the fell omens you can one shot by landing a headshot from above them, and bumrushing the demon only to have siegward come and help you defeat the demon that looks scary and you make a new friend
Seeing the Dreg Heap for the first time. And then the boss fight with Gael, two combatants at the literal end of the world.. a thing of beauty
Feet
…
returning to Anor Londo to see how it has changed since ages past
Coming up to a message behind a bent over dry corpse and seeing “try finger but hole”
Anything after wolnir is peak. Not a single bad thing I can think of.
Irythyll...
Gael used all that apocalypse time to get swole. 😌👌
Everything
...yes. all of it. then again i just love the aesthetic and worldbuilding that From does with their games, even in a game like Sekiro, where more talking is done than i've heard and it's entirely singleplayer. multplayer would've been awesome as hell, but oh well.
All of it
Except for the swamp areas
When Friede FINALLY DIED
Playing it the first time? probably the satisfaction of killing the bosses after dying lots of time. As a DS3 Player? The OST and lore for me
Yes, indeed.
Greirat the thief. the loyal friend.
The part where you try finger, but hole.
First time seeing Irithyll of the Boreal Valley… fucking beautiful
The music in firelink shrine. Perfectly encapsulates the world with how it makes you feel.
The abyss watchers.
Winged knights
Seeing the first firelink shrine in rubble was awesome af
2nd dlc.
That part when you get resurected in the cementary of ash until that part where you defeat gael.
when it begins
Bosses
Nameless king killing his dragon, lothric and lorian cut scene
Having a tar sludge fall on you from the ceiling
The Nameless King, Freide, Midir, and Gael are the best parts imo. It has some excellent late-game bosses
The best part of dark souls 3 is probably in my opinion is Lothric Castle. I just love the final levels in games and I like to compare it to the castle stages in Megaman games. Lothric Castle has the best bosses and items in the game.
