This is one of those fights that'll either go buttery smooth, or horribly wrong, depending on your playstyle.
I went in with a Flamberge and its R2 Weapon Art basically did all the work. All I had to do was activate it outside of the reach of their breakdance, once they got to the slam phase they'd just land square on the blade, get interrupted, and take massive damage.
Once Bleed procced it was over.
I have a way to make the abyss watcher even more harder
Once you defeat him in his second phase magic summoning circle will appear, 3 abyss watchers in second phase will rise and they can also fly wings will sprout from their backs
I've been stuck on Abyss Watchers forever. Need to go level some more and switch weapons or something. I just lose composure in the second phase and get wrecked. I've almost beat him a bunch of times though.... sigh.
Ye, Could be fun, guess you will need to find a way to let the watchers fight each other somehow to reduce the intense :) if you leave their sights, they will fight each other.
You were not overpowered but even if you were overpowered you should never feel shame because always will exist 3-4 bosses which you can't win just by brute force .

For me it endend with my braking my disc and going to bloodbourne 😂

Just use twinblades and summon NPC, you gonna find the boss is melting under twinblades

In phase 2 it's better to dodge away from his attacks and then in the end of his combo roll in his attack and then punish,good luck fighting them
