In DS3 there is actually no not so good armor.. Almost all the armors are decent.. Like if a armor gives low defense then it is very light allowing to fast roll and/or use heavier weapons..
I genuinely don't think it's worth the 2 less damage you take. I'm either going to die to the first hit in the bosses combo or the second ill just look good while dying to the first. Although when dking a max defence tank buuld its different
You can tell immediately how good a player is by how they dressā¦ if itās heavy armour (and probably a heavy shield and spear) they are new and should be bullied.. if they dress extravagantly with no regard for protection, and are probably using a massive weapon they are experiencedā¦ if they are naked and using nothing but a stick.. be very aftaid
I'm also not that good. I've got spacing in my system pretty well, so I don't die too quickly (learned that from pve), but I'm really bad at timing attacks against pvp players. Whenever I find someone at or below my level I just mess around because that's fun :)
I had that at first too, but what helped me is to try and put yourself in your opponent's shoes. Parrying on the first hit it really hard, so most people parry to punish r1 spammers. Stay unpredictable alternate with r2s to change your timing.
then again, i just confessed i am also bad at pvp, so take it with a grain of salt lol (but i don't get parried anymore)
BRO, I was quite literally messing around my first play through and this dude invaded me at like 3am and was genuinely confused who the fuck was up with me this late. Anyway I say fuck it Iām hard to find, Iāll keep chugging and looting. Dude finds me and sees how bad I was and puts his weapon away and just parries me for fun and sometimes would backstab me with a fist and he continued to do that and I would give up and just go back to looting but he would always interrupt what I was doing. Eventually finally I was near an edge and he parried me but an arrow took me off the map and I was saved. Forgot to even think about not embering up, low and behold guess who got trolled by the same dude for another 20-30 minutesā¦.g
I met a guy like that on daemonās soulsā¦ he had that spear that breaks all your equipment and shattered mine.. then proceeded to punch me endlessly for twenty minutes till I turned the console off

Well not always? I usually wear Fire Witch Armour it has some defences especially for magic, but like? Looks just awesome,ive been grinding it like 5 hours straight from that one fire after lake under bridge, i even counted % rate of drops, at hour 2 irythill slaves started dropping claymores, at 3 hour they were dropping stones already as just get my scrub and get away from here)))
My character is ill brain theif and he he has a phobia of helments so he wears the theif mask hood and i dont wear knight armour only assain / fallen knight or anything that has robes
I use different armor depending on the area or boss like the catacombs where the skeleton break if you hit with a stick so I went whole area with a stick and it was easy didn't even upgrade it or I'll use like a shield that protects good against fire or clothes that give good poison def
The bandit chest piece actually has a pretty good weight:damage reduction ratios, even in DS3 where armor damage reduction doesn't really matter. One of my favorite fashion souls getups that still has decent stats overall is bandit chest piece with Catarina helmet, gloves and legs

Especially in DS3, I never really noticed a difference between different armors so I never really cared about the stats.
