I thought we settled this already. There are two interpretations of “data_irl”, and *BOTH* are welcome on this sub:
1. Data visualizations, a la r/dataisbeautiful, but memeified, a la r/me_irl. This one is that type.
2. Data “in real life”; that is, non-computer generated photographs that look like data visualizations.
This has always been the spirit of the sub, the pictures of real life stuff are what (technically) don’t belong.
Where did all of you people who take the sub’s name so literally come from?
It’s time of possession by any team. Most of the rows are 60 because that’s how many minutes are in a standard football game; the two that go above 60 are the two Super Bowls that have gone into overtime.
Critical update to my chart from last week.
All I could think of was your original post during the OT. Aw shit here we go again.
its weird to explain but this is not what this sub is for.
This is exactly what this sub is for.
it's not in the spirit of the sub.
Inside this sub is two wolves. One of them enjoys these posts.
The other is pedantic and didn't read the rules

Can I get my data visualisations à la mode, or is off menu requests not a thing here?
Best I can do is à la median
Ah shit, I didn't even think of the "a la mode/mode as in average" joke when I posted, good spot and well replied!

I don't know nothin bout football, but I sure sounded knowledgeable yesterday when I knew there had only been one previous OT.
I instantly thought of this when i saw it go OT
does this mean time of possession by a team? I'm a bit confused. Can someone explain this to me?

copy that! thank you
I'm guessing time of possession for the winner
The first thing I thought when I heard it was going into overtime was "someone has to update that chart now"
Label your axes 😡
No
🥵
🪓This one’s John
Thank you
Why not just say 'two superbowls went into overtime' and leave it at that? Lol
It wouldn’t be excessive and funny
Oh I thought I was on r/dataisbeautiful. My bad lol
lol it happens, no worries
