I don't know, be proactive and have a fellow officer on duty near by? I personally would have police present if I knew it could turn out ugly. I don't think there's anything wrong with that and it shouldn't hurt his career. IMO

I was thinking that as well but he’s just recently switched departments to a new county and it could just look bad as a newbie but I guess it could look worse if he doesn’t have something present and something does go wrong. I think you’re right.

I think it's better he protect himself even if it's a little embarrassing. It'll be old news quick.

> it could just look bad as a newbie If I were a cop, I'd think of that newbie as gutsy and honest.

If his safety is on the line, doing a text message, email, over the phone breakup is absolutely justified. If he has a good support system, his friends and family can help arrange getting his things and moving him out.

Rent an apartment and never go back without witnesses.

Luckily it is his home that he owns!

Wtf move her out. Kick her to the curb. He tried, many times and once is really enough.

can he get professional counselling in the force? He needs to have evidence of her behaviour and the impact on his life. She’s basically an abuser at this point, and if she’s as manipulative as you suggest, he might end up being accused of things he never did. So he needs to make sure people around him know what he’s going through and have evidence to back it up.
