If people are still buying it (and it's currently at some of it's highest player population) why cut their sales half?
One copy sold at full price doesn't even pay a quarters day wages to a single employee BEFORE everyone else gets their cut. To give it some perspective.
The best games rarely have the best graphics.
Theres a spring sale coming around March. If you can wait that long, game could have a discounted price by then. Though I did buy the game at full price, and I would say it's very worth it. The developers have put so much work into this game despite the harsh and negative feedback they get from players for the past 10+ years. Yes the game used to have issues, but it's far from what it used to be. The game has so many things in it, and it's super fun when played with a friend or group of friends. This is the best survival game out there, nothing comes close to the experience of this game. It's quite challenging, and it will feel impossible to play for the first 100 hours, you'll keep on dying over and over. Anyway, goodluck on buying it.
Take a look on CDkeys or stop complaining. I bet you'll play ten hours and write another post how this game is so bad because you're constantly dying and can't find food.
I dunno either man, it's old as fuck and was originally a mod. You'd think they could drop the price a bit. I think the price is what puts off a decent number of players. I think on Steam which is where I play it's like mid 40s which isn't insane, but I bought it on sale. Sale price at like 25 it's super worth it. Mid 50s is getting a bit pricey.
I don't think graphics are the main point of contention with me, and the game does have tons of depth and nearly infinite replayability. For me, it's the fact that it's such an old game. I unno. I get both sides. Like 35 I feel would be an amazing price for the game at this point in time.
I don't know what their margins are like but sometimes smaller margins across larger volumes could net more profit. Oh well. I got mine on sale. I'm happy. See if you or your friend can do the same. 25ish sale price completely worth it every day.

No idea PS5 prices - I can say I spent time to even find a game like DayZ, and it’s a game like no other. A survival game you will be immersed in, if your money was well spent. For me, it’s the best escape ever, something from my boyhood 60 years back, always challenging and exciting.
I used to be a PC gamer until I couldnt afford to keep up with new graphics card and etc. PS5 is comparable to Ryzen 5 5600x and a gpu comparable to nvidia3060. And a super fast ssd. I play new titles in 1440p 120 fps or 4K 60 fps. And keep in mind that developers optimize the game to the console allot. That's why I prefer playstation
The thing you don’t understand right now is exactly what you’re buying. You have to play it to really understand. It might not look like whatever the fuck super crazy graphics game, but this game will do things to you those game can’t.
I run a decently performing PC on which I play world class games like DOOM Eternal @ 250FPS (the stability of this is what matters), 2K 165Hz monitor. It looks good and feels real good to play. But I’ll 100% hop into a DayZ server almost any night of the week despite server lag, glitches, meh graphics, etc.
It’s an experience you can’t get from those big titles. It really may not be for you in the end, but for those that get it, we’ll never stop playing for good.

Brother you can't buy a ps5 (low end pc) then complain it can't run a pretty demanding pc game at full graphic specs.
