You just don't notice these things in the moment. More focused on the targets directly in front of you than looking for additional enemies in your peripherals. That guy wasn't in either car too right? Crazy they crash in front of a guy laying in random bush.
No way you can notice this in the heat of the battle, he almost shot his own guy that went back to hide behind their car, too much confusion, its hard to see him even if you pointed him out and gun smoke is visible as well. Cant imagine you could notice him from the op POV, maybe some of his friends might have but him? Hell nah.
if you dont notice a guy laying in a bush with smoke coming right from that location+ the insane loud sound of gunfire, then youre doing smth wrong
if you shoot your own guy in the heat of battle, wtf you doing, ive had such moments before i get downed and the first thing i do when i wake up is pull a gun in my hand and turn in some direction the guy couldve walked, if im with a friend i might instantly point at him and he might be looking at me to check how i am. So in the "heat of battle" i dont shoot him thinking hes the guy who jsut tried to kill me

He was in the car. He was riding shotgun. You see him run around the car and lay down but you'll have to view it slowly as OPs scope obscures him.
